As someone who uses both Indrive and Bolt, I think Indrive is better as we speak, the freedom to see where you're going to is underrated(Coz i don't go everywhere and anywhere) and the surge on Indrive is about to be making sense now. I am team Indrive for now.

Resumed fully back today after a while away. I guess they've increased fare a bit coz it is a bit improvement from what it used to be but it is not enough, fuel is not cheap. Another factor could be the weather that increased price a bit. God help us


Started from 12 and closed by 6pm. This was achieved with 20k fuel. 20k usually gross 60k minimum before now it barely does 50k.

The most painful part of this whole Igbo can't contest election in Lagos is mostly sponsored by folks that are not resident in this Constituencies where the non-indigenes are concentrated. Even in America, Minnesota to be precise, the Somalians are highly concentrated there that's why you have Ilhan Omar representing them in Congress. The best you can do is to canvass for votes from them, the last time an OPC leader called Demola working for APC tried stealing ballot boxes, he almost met his end here in Ago Palace Way. There's no federal law that prohibits Nigerians from not contesting elections in any other parts of Nigeria. I am saying this authoritatively as voter in Oshodi Isolo constituency 2, the numbers of indigenous Yorubas here has really gone down astronomically in the last 10 years and it keeps getting worse. For that Reps guy, he messed up, him posting that list is very sensitive, I myself don't want to vote for him on account of poor performance but since APC wants to make it a tribal politics, he would most likely win again especially as Obi is on the ballot and the high numbers of Igbos in this constituency. That's my observation so far

From the many conversations I have read here concerning the CNG installation, it seems the challenges outweigh the financial benefits.

This is real. I carried a man from Apapa few days back and we got talking, he told me he's an energy consultant, I asked him does it make sense for me to convert to CNG, he bluntly told me not to spoil my car especially with low skilled technicians we have around, rather he advised looking towards cheap used EV cars from China. He only said that CNG is good and best for big trucks due to its efficiency. I just kuku change my mind, make I dey manage my car dey go, even though the fuel price is not encouraging fr.

Yesterday at Gbagada Oshodi Apapa Expressway towards Anthony I saw a car hit a despatch ride bike and he fell off, most likely dead from the impact, I just paused momentarily and think of how he also left home like any other person seeking for daily bread, but it now appears he would be taken back home in a body bag. Omo the thing weak me, I just had to go home. May we not be unalived in the process of seeking for our daily bread, Amen

Moving man met his luck today..a female rider (late 50s) ish on bolt comfort from Lekki phase 1 to Lagos Marriot ikeja gave me 100k extra today just for waiting 2hours for a stop at palms shopping mall. All these while I have been suffering myself on indrive until I repainted my 2012 Honda Civic and got my bolt inspection done last week. Indrive will never see my brake light again. Tomorrow we go again. God is Good.

There's this thing that comes with spraying your car and keeping it clean, they just suddenly want you to wait for them, ask for your availability for other future trips and all. But if your car is bad In terms of presentation, they just can't wait to get off and be on their way

True sha but there's lower chance of meeting such generous people on Indrive. Most rich or comfortable people don't even use Indrive. They strictly use Uber or Bolt and this new EV platform. The business model of Indrive attracts the worst of society, still there are amazing riders too there but not to be compared.

I don’t if it is just me ,the motivation to keep getting more jobs done on this app keeps declining , though I’m facing some emotional stress and I’m prioritizing rest for a while now ..But not getting past 3/4 trips in day and averaging 30k or less makes me worried ..I’m not pushing myself hard enough though coupled with this fuel economy that adds to it ,with little profit to take home and not many juicy trips ..I hope it gets better in coming months ..

It's normal, it's the decline that comes with job monotony. Just take some days off when you feel like, it's okay to take a break but not for too long. Another culprit I noticed in time past that made me work without motivation was lack of clear goals. If you give yourself some weekly or monthly target, it helps pump some little adrenaline into you especially when you meet them targets or gets close. So have a daily goal and work towards it. Why you think say when your rent due, even when you're tired, energy must come by force to go work out the money especially when you get the means(Car)? It's that motive that creates compelling reason for you to work.

I once heard someone said he was tipped 50k here, I usually don't believe Nigerians are that generous till it happened to me this night. Took him from Oniru to VI. Trip of 6500 on Bolt Comfort, he paid 20k and asked me to wait, I usually don't like waiting for passengers due to how it usually turn out to be and I dey chase bolt trip bonus but my instincts just kicked in that if this guy fit pay 20k, he seems a generous person also the quality of his conversation all through his phone conversation. After waiting a while I took him to Bourdillion, then straight back to his place in Oniru. Naso baba run me 50k extra. I wish person fit dey meet people like this everyday or atleast twice a week.

Well ur brother can register your car under his own account, but u will not have it in ur account again once it is approved. Two drivers can't have the same car.
Just like if u have a car a driver is using and u change drivers, the old driver will no longer have access to the car on his app once the new driver takes it for inspection.

Thanks for this info. I dey travel for outside work for like a month or so, me be think say in my absence he can work the best he can, then when I come back I continue with my own account.

I equally don't think so, I also want to open a profile/account for my brother and give him the car for use, but my question is would I be able to add my vehicle to his with my account still remaining.

I refuel full tank daily even before my car gets to half tank. I no wan face fuel pump issue again in my life. That way i dont worry going any distance because i will need to drive 466KM with AC to get fuel empty sign

I started with Full tank, and the arrow marginally left the F. I always do with Full tank, it makes life and the work easy. No endless going to fuel stations during work time to queue or being forced to buy from stations with questionable meters or bad fuel. After all once stucked, you don't mind just getting that fuel rather than your car stopping on the road. So buying a full tank before start of work or after saves you time and is more economical.

My problem with some of drivers is their own appearance and looks of their vehicle. They don't care or don't value themselves or aesthetics. My car is well pimped, AC running smoothly, I dress well. This already gives me an edge in areas of getting juicy offline trips, negotiating or even getting tips( I don't demand, I too get steeze to demand). Because of the composure and presentation, I already got a business contract from a rider , surprisingly from a female, a gender that stresses us so much on this job. Indeed who go help you no go stress you, even when I turn on AC without her asking, she still wind down say she need fresh air, na there I suspect say na big lady, we no blow AC till we reach Parkview, Ikoyi. But those who don't have AC at home would nearly fight you if them hear say your AC stopped working or not cooling enough. So back to the matter, this was my dashboard for yesterday alone, worked from 6am till 5pm. I did 72k net on Bolt, 12k tips, 15k offline. Started with a full tank but the arrow never too pass F. On Indrive, I prefer it more on some occasions especially on the mainland like Ago, Yaba, Surulere, Ajao Estate, Ikeja. Just sabi position and you go enjoy them especially when there's surge(yes Indrive dey get their own surge). Both the beauty of Bolt is their surge too, the prices are killing lol, that's why most driver's get their Bolt app activated during ember months, their downsides is that they are cunny especially on the location you're going and the time to pick up. My own advice is do what works for you. On this CNG, I am observing, everyone wants to keep operating costs low, but I am a bit skeptical. I no wan risk my baby(Camry Muscle) but I want to buy a smaller car to test run with it. I mean going by the price of CNG, for guys like me, the least a day is going to be 90k net. So my final advice is for guys to start looking clean, no matter your problems, don't look it. Take care of your cars too. I just tried to talk to some Uber guys one day that I didn't go home and decided to do small night work, at that Enyo side close to the AP filling station that sells overnight, some guys looked like they never chop for 2 days, some were bathing outside by their car (this was my first time seeing this). Pls guys let's take care of ourselves and health. Don't let people look down on you coz you're doing Uber work, present yourself well, if you're serious about this work, your earnings already put you above 80% of Nigerians working, your problem would now be your lifestyle, habits and saving culture. I mandate myself to save 50k a day any day I come out and I have never missed since I started except I no work that day or I go for other runs. So that savings culture is a must, if not the day your car pack up, you go beg tire and people are not obligated to help you or share in your problems. Ire o. Just this morning, I don carry person go Airport from Isheri Osun, he paid 20k. I had to go from Ago to pick him up, driving time of 14mins, and ride time of 26mi s, that's not a bad deal for a start today. May God help us all o. Ire o.

Areas like Yaba, Shomolu, Ajao, Bariga etc are not dead zones. Short trips in this areas pay better on indrive.

No one can make 50k driving on any platform now. Let’s be realistic, your gross earning on a trip on bolt is a little less than what an average negotiator gets on indrive. Currently, uber consistently offers me less than what I will get on a trip if I did it on indrive. Indrive is only bad in areas where there are too many drivers.

Go to those areas I mentioned and analyse the prices you see carefully.

You can, I disagree with you on that amount. Set out early, get a full tank, position well and work well for 7 hours minimum, you would be netting atleast 50k a day. There are guys who net 70k in less than 12hours but you go use combination of both apps if not the 3.

As per customer stressing pls maintain red eye. Me my posture alone u'll know I'm not smiling. I tell u no ac without being apologetic. Iz no longer a right but a privilege. I educate them on y we have first class and economy. Honestly driving this way help maintain my profit but more stressful but I'm here to make money FIRST before comfort.

Some prices u see u know the riders dont want to talk much. As iz above 450naira/km. I on AC without being asked. But all dose yawu yawu trips na red eye. If u stress me I'll drop u and u MUST pay cancellation fees

Now some women don't suffer for my hand. I educate Dem wella. U r paying how much u r asking for AC. R u going for excursion

Piece of advice to my respected men here... Please, like i stated few days back, the major problem you'll face on this job na women, take what I'm about sayin SERIOUSLY.

1. Never carry a drunk woman. (you'll do jail o)
2. Please package urself well, i dey wear half agbada for this work.. Half agbada means only the big bubu, so i don't look too serious but still looking mad comfortable. Cus if anything sup with these creatures, people who lie with tears, ur greatest defense is ur appearance, unfortunately society profiles you like maddd.

The 2 times i carried women to police station becus them no gree come down peacefully from my car, i won all cases, including the one they could have gotten me(i was on a long call on the way to the station, which is not right) and their papa na one oga for police... But they didn't get me, why? Cus i look 'rich', looking rich means innocent for most people eye and police wan get something from you(obviously)... Nigerians hate poor people oh, if you like be rich and appear poor, dem go show you wetin no good.

Don't look like ur problem, cus with these creatures, they move funny, very funny.. Many men dey kirikiri becus of their accusations....

3. B4 you believe women, do so with evidence, lest you destroy another man's life... Even if ur mother comes crying say person do her something, ask for evidence, these creatures no real.... This is general life advice.

5. I'll repeat again, women are like children, except they're above 55....treat them as such.... Don't address them with ma. Abeg una 🙏 speak respectfully, they're humans, but don't dish out honor to people without honor.

6. Dress well, again o.... Keep ur car clean, buy big phone (galaxy fold 2 or 3, older models,not as expensive as you think but people think it is) trust me, it does wonders... Package ur fake life oh... I bill people crazy money, they accept becus they perceive me rich... Most times they ask if I'm just going to a meeting... If ure looking for help, you don't do so appearing poor, pity no dey get anything tangible in life o😂 unfortunately, nigerians will rather give more to a rich man wey no send am, than give poor man 1 naira. So package. Package wetin no good.

7. Find IT course put body, this work won't get better, i hope it does, but.. For now, plan for alternatives.

Omo, I face one today, no be small thing, just avoid this gender, I too love our gender, men don't stress at all, sometimes they even recommend dropping off by the road to save you stress of driving into streets with bad roads. Shout out to all men!

Today is very funny and eventful. Bolt(I am always on Comfort) sometimes can be very funny and surprising. I carry trip of 17mins for 10k net, me sef shock especially in this era of bad price, another one from Oyingbo to Osapa for 23k net, i quicky switch to offline asap. My day was just going fine until I carried someone to Eleguishi beach, then Yoruba boys(thugs) started fighting with Hausa/Fulani boys that came to celebrate Sallah and there was a serious free flow of bottles and stones flying in the air, Omo, naso i quickly drive off the scene, about 3 drivers got a shattered windscreen, omo i was just grateful to escape the fracas. Imagine drivers way no expect this unfortunate event, may we not be in the wrong place at the right time. For the prices, I think this business is not sustainable with fuel anymore, cng seems to be the best option for now. I dey stubborn gan, I also negotiate with riders beyond app price, but for how long? And how many people would even want to talk to their riders or how many riders would even want to listen to you? My earnings today was quite high but the fuel cost dey affect gan. May God help us

I order fake rides today and wasted their time. What would it cost us for just 3 days.
