Calculate well bros. About 15k of that 40k went into commission. Abi you carry Indrive and Bolt money run? Your take home for all the hassles is about 20k. E no reach buy another 35k fuel for another day's work. This is the reality of the business for any body out there contemplating going into this business. You will suffer for nothing, trust me.

You didn't even break even if we calculate well. Reality is that you lost and wasted a whole day driving round Lagos.

Lolz. I didn't see the net attached to the screenshot. Still a terrible take home if you calculate well Your 40k means you may have to use 35k from it the next time to buy fuel, leaving you with about 5k. For crying out loud, its never worth it whichever angle you are looking at it. Waste of time.

I have not visited the mechanic or rewire since over 4 months now, just do the regular oil change and all, my car is actually sound but my concern is would CNG affect overall performance? And guys any recommendations on the best place to do it?

That reminds me, all those drivers here uploading income dashboard as of last year , showing off how much they are making , why the sudden mute ? You guys should continue uploading your dashboard oo so we see how much you are making. I will never blame Bolt nor indrive because drivers are the problem . That is not the issue actually, it's the high cost of fuel and terrible prices out here, it's not by posting dashboard, afrerall this app coys have access to this data. This is what I made yesterday. 59k on Indrive and 18k on Bolt. The fuel cost was the major headache. I used 35k fuel to achieve this. 77k-35k less 1k for airtime equals=41k net. Imagine I was on CNG or electric.

How far guys, especially Glithronix, abeg where can you recommend I do conversion of my car car to CNG, and how much. I want to do it, can't take it anymore lol

This CNG sef is long overdue. One of the stations is just 4mins drive from my house. I no mind to go queue early. Some of the attendants sef na our omo adugbo. It's so bad now with fuel. I now net 30k daily down from 50k with extra stress. Even if I do CNG, still not picking useless prices, just all about lowering my cost of operation first. I hope the situation improves before Xmas. Imagine a trip showing 45k on Lagride showing as 9k on Indrive,omo just omo

This is true but how soon would that be done especially for someone who can't wait long to be back on the road again. The bureaucracy might be a factor that discourages many. If he has his money, he can get that car up and running in less than 48hrs but insurance companies can't do so

Nice questions, this shows how grounded you are. Well, we finally settled for 1.3m, car would be used only within Lagos, for his movements to be driven by him. I suspect na going to visit long time friends, family, clubbing, going for functions, events and church activities. I insisted the car not go out of Lagos which he obliged to,if they try me, I go put am off for tracker(this is why tracker is important). He would be the one fuelling the car, though i would give it to him on a full tank. Lastly, the guy that connected me is a dear friend who has always given me great business, he's based abroad now, so even if anything like dent or so happens, he can come through. Fortunately for me, I had plans to travel this September, so it is to my best advantage, so by the time I come back in October hopefully the bad prices we see now would have been better.

The prices of rides is too bad currently. My friend who relocated to Australia linked me up to a friend that is coming in this September, the guy wants to rent my car for one month for 1.5m. He told me he's going to give me 1.2m and pocket the rest. I am very sure he billed that fella minimum of 2m coz the guy coming in hasn't been in Naija for 15 years. I know folks wjo earn 70k daily after expenses, i have once tried it 2 months ago, i did it for just a week and i had to rest all through the next week. Though it is better when you own the car sha...People make money on this ehailing till tomorrow, it is just that, there's a new influx of classless drivers who don't care or know enough about this hustle before venturing in it and are picking terrible prices. What do you mean you're carrying rides of 2900 or 1800 or even 2,500? Are you normal? Be you on CNG, electric, give yourself some decency. You don't just carry riders and base the cost on fuel alone, your time and vehicle maintenance must be factored in. The prices i saw yesterday when I wanted to work a little was not even encouraging for what weekend used to be. The thing is that money is not yet in circulation, people are just coping but they have to adjust. Many people really need ride for important meetings, events and movements, if we focus on this folks, even 3 or 5 quality ride a day is okay for any driver, you have less time on the road but desperation and hunger wan kill some of them. I use fuel with a car with Venza engine, but I am sure i make more than some on CNG or electric. I no fit carry yeye prices, i am patient and i understand positioning from just reading people's experiences here and on the job experience. I still work my 9-5 on and off but I no dey even wait for Salary before I take care of little bills or myself. Even my boss sef dey observe me when I order food or buy new clothing, she no dey try werey reach my side, coz I exude confidence in my appearance and manners/conduct. Some Uber drivers no dey even eat, them don resemble beggars finish, don't you think the body that works deserves to eat? Those of una way dey accept yeye prices, make una give una sef brain o. Make una no go spoil this Ember period for us o. Thanks to all the OGs here, una advices and tips brought us this far. I started around this time last year, and since then, the difference is clear. Imagine owning a car and being broke most times, unable to pay some bills even your enemy go doubt you but na you know your self, but now we can use our property(car) to make money to use to do ads and support the main hustle. Omo the work get as e be nowadays, I just think from next month, it would get better ahead of the ember month. I rarely work now, I only put on my apps when going to office and when going back home and work mostly on my off days at work or weekends. What I can say about this hustle, you must force yourself to save, it is very vital and have other streams of income. Listen the guys taking ridiculous prices won't sustain for long, naija road too bad, their cars would cry out soon. They would come to you to assist them with loans, I mean how is it that you've been working for months and you don't have ordinary 500k? Hmm! Don't tell me family problems, take care of the eagle that lays the golden egg, save money for raining days. And lastly don't be too desperate to pick rides, yesterday at the close of work hour, I was going towards Ajao Estate, I picked a couple going to Okota from Elegushi Beach for 26k, I quickly swipe to offline. The ride was seamless as the traffic has eased off from that 8:30pm. Stop picking ridiculous trips because you're just going home from the office or at the close of work day, you give this guys confidence to put ridiculous prices especially on Indrive.
