I got an offer from palmpay to refer people and earn. As seen in the screenshot below, if I refer 2 people, I get paid #3000, which is #1500 per person. I need 2-5 people to complete this task. Dm if interested @ 07014534118.

I've been thinking recently about how life in Nigeria would be if I have a child as an atheist. Religion pervades every sphere of life in our society. It isn't taught objectively in our schools. Every street/ neighborhood has churches left, right and centre. In my street alone, there are more than three churches. Most certainly, there'll be pressure from parents and other relatives to raise one's children in "the way of the lord". How do raise your kids and navigate family life as irreligious people in Nigeria? Hahn Lordreed |
heniford2:Even by 2000 standards, the first picture represented a regular Nigerian home, not a wealthy one. |
Kobojunkie:Lol. Do you live in Nigeria at all? |
Kobojunkie:I'm trying to avoid the negative attention that might generate. Who'd want to associate with an atheist in this hyper-religious clime? More importantly, I may lose opportunities because of it. |
I'm a student who's an undercover atheist. I'm always getting accosted by christian fellowships left, right and center on campus. As someone who hates any type of attention, most times, I pretend to be an unserious, non-churchgoing christian but that only seems to draw these people's attention to me. Last semester, a guy invited me to church, service was scheduled for 7am, by 6:30am, this guy came to my room to wake me up! His face was literally the first thing I saw in the morning. It was so annoying. This is just one out of the many annoying things this guy and other "evangelists" have done to drag me to their church. I don't want to be known as an atheist for obvious reasons, yet, I want to ward off people like this guy and his ilk. I'd like to hear from other atheists. My Airtel sim has stopped showing since yesterday. I've switched my phone off and on many times. I've tried other things. How do I get it to work? |

When Tinubu won the presidential election in May, a lot of folks on Twitter predicted that there would be an increase in religious activities because people would need hope to get through the next 4-8 years. As evidenced by the Buhari administration, this is true. Even online, there was the Hallelujah challenge, the Jesus status challenge and all sorts. Still nothing changed. Nigeria only got worse. Many prosperous countries seem to have a lackadaisical attitude to religion. It makes me wonder how religious Nigerians were when things were still a bit okay in this country. peepydelano:He didn't demand money, he only wanted to pray for me. You might be right tho, another thing that seems fishy is that the man's voice sounded exactly like those Yoruba adverts on radio. |
I'm an atheist. Something strange happened to me today and I can't stop thinking about it. Someone mistakenly sent me airtime this morning. He called me to resend it because he wanted to send it to his father. A while later, he called me to thank me and gave the phone to his father who thanked me profusely and prayed for me. His father told me that he was an ifa priest from Ile ife.He told me to go and buy pure water and call him back in exactly three minutes. I decided not to but I was curious to hear what he wanted to say. I called him and to my surprise, this man told me my surname! It felt so strange. He told me to ask for three things I want. He asked me if I had gotten the pure water, I told him no and he said I should go and buy it and call him back. I don't know if he's a scammer or a real priest. This has never happened to me before.
