xfire: Oil and gas industry is big. Cuts across so many disciplines. Just that some disciplines are much higher in demand than others.
A postgraduate degree in a more relevant course will give you a better chance of 'fitting in' there.

Graduate of Biochemistry (2012) and completed my NYSC February this year. I am interested in the ICT career and am presently doing a PGD. in I.T with NOUN, I have been trying to raise money to travel to India for Telecommunication professional certification (6months) and also do some I.T courses, hoping to travel by next month if I get the required finances which is less than a million Naira.

Can I have your contact bro? I have a B.Sc in mathematics, a good graphics/web designer but still trying to venture more into the I.T world. I am a Mathematics graduate too, presently serving. I am a programmer/web developer. Mathematicians are hot cakes bro, I can't forget how I gapped my colleagues in the interview exam we did on camp.

I'm a recent Unibadan Mathematics graduate presently serving in Abuja. I guess CFA means Certified Financial Analyst, but I was contemplating doing ICAN or ACCA as I have probably not seen any job advert that requires a CFA, please enlighten me guys.
