Btw, I try my best not to eat outside because everywhere apart from my house seems so unhygienic and I'm not there to know what they put inside the food and how they prepared it.

I prefer to cook in my house and (most of the time) take on my garri with sugar and kuli; eating outside empties my wallet too much (I'm a dependent student)

Can you open other files in other folders? Can you open files sent to you via other ways (Superbeam, Xender, etc)? Do you have apps installed on your phone that can handle the files you received via Bluetooth?

You have to be more specific. Have you used a file manager to try to access the files in the Bluetooth folder?

Ok. I need fixes for the following..
1. My phone restarts every time I try to mount my memory card to Windows.
2. I can't sideload apks with the pre-installed file manager

UPDATE
I found the Facebook group where the ROM was posted. It is now in version 1.2 and USB mass storage doesn't work. Established bug.

Instructions On Flashing The ROM

-Reboot to any custom recovery (TWRP or CWM)
-Wipe Data and Cache (Factory Reset)
-Wipe Dalvik Cache
-Format /system
-Flash Kernel
-Flash The ROM
-After the rom is flashed, the phone will reboot
-Reboot to Recovery again
-Flash the superuser.zip to root the phone
-Then Reboot to SYSTEM

(UPDATE) Regarding the issue of the phone battery not charging..

Standard: 3.7V 2100mAh
Limited charge voltage: 4.2V.. It's all on the back of the battery.

At 100% the battery should read 4200mV or 4.2V but for some reason the phone doesn't let it charge when it gets to 3.7V. I noticed this cos I have this issue too.
When my phone gets to this level, I use a desktop charger to charge my battery for a few minutes before continuing to charge with my phone.

** Using a charger with a rating of 5V 2A fixes this.

The phone is working but the Samsung boot image still appears even after o had reverted to the Tecno stock ROM. This has affected the charging system of the phone that is to say the phone cannot be charged when switch off. How can I removed the Samsung boot image to enable me charge even when it is off.

Download Tecno's "logo.bin" from here --> https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5j_NCLhSSvIUmJYdmRieFVjSGs&usp=sharing
Unzip any of the ROM packages and replace the logo.bin in the ROM with the one you just downloaded.
Re-zip the ROM and then flash to your phone.
Finally, restore your backup and you're fine.
