This is a wonderful write up. I heard about the high level of insecurity around Agbowo from a friend doing her masters at UI & how robbers on bike stabbed her friend that didn’t even argue with them and was quite cooperative with their requests yet they injured her. It’s so bad judging by the fact that it’s school area and lately security in Ibadan has actually been poor. I hope the governor heed this advice. The security architecture of Oyo state at the moment isn’t totally solid.

Direct competition might not work since what they offer is only a fraction of what Twitter does & some governments are trying to regulate social media. What they intend to sell after all may not work if social media regulation comes into play.

English Language is the Lingua Franca of Nigeria not Hausa no matter how indigenous it is. His work isn’t to broadcast in Hausa, he’s meant to use English then the media outlets will carry the message to people in various languages. That’s the sane thing to do.
