[quote author=bbaby84 post=3I Thanks a lot for sharing your story. I appreciate. I also can't think of leaving her behind but I will be going on my own. Hubby will be staying back in Nigeria to take care of business. My concern is this; I have no relatives in US. I will be going to El paso or Phoenix( from research on this thread). That's why am asking if anyone has gone that route before and how did they cope especially when hospitalised. |
tobitee:Pls help me with this question pls. Am on the planning phase of this journey as am just 11 weeks gone. ( just about to apply for visa). But am torn between leaving my toddler at home in Nigeria and going with her. She will be 19 months in October when I will probably travel. |
Pls there is this important question I have for mothers that travelled alone with their toddler. What arrangement did they make for the toddler when they were in labour and during hospital stay. Thanks |
maestro03:Thanks a lot. We bought an emirates return ticket for the date and we are not going to overstay. We understand the implication from experience on this thread and we are planning to renew after this. So we won't do anything to jeopardize that. |
My family and I have just been given a 6 months tourist visa. Valid from 10th of March to 10th of September. We stated in our application that we will be staying for one week from April 1 to 8. Now we want to go on 26th and come back 13th that's about 2 weeks and 5 days. I hope we wouldn't be getting into any trouble at the POE. |

justwise:Thanks a lot sir, I appreciate your quick responses. Actually I have started reading this page from the beginning and on page 30 or thereabout now. Although I have learnt a lot to aid a successful application. We haven't really concluded our list. Below are what I think we need. Pls correct where necessary. My husband's personal act( he's the one sponsoring the trip) His company act Birth certificate Company certificate of incorporation 9. Company past letters of contract awards. Marriage certificate Family pictures Evidence of land My own business registration papers and tax Our nysc certificates Evidence of cars Letter of permission from d kids school Hotel reservation Airline booking I guess that's all we gathered. Addition or subtraction will be welcomed. Another important question: presently we are filling the online form for my husband in which he has included the three of us to accompany him. Is that all we need or we have to apply separately as 4 individuals. |
justwise:Thanks but you have just answered a part. Please shed more light on what documents we will need to add that can increase our chances and we will be granted if our children are not on holiday in school. |
justwise:yes we have separate personal accounts apart from the business act. On the tax we are working on it. |

Hello house! Please I also need help from you guys. My husband and I together with our kids want to apply for a UK tourist visa. We are planning to travel this February. My husband is the sole breadwinner of our family. He has a registered company with which he does supplies with a solid bank account that has good inflow of cash and still has a substantial amount to sponsor the trip. I also do have a registered business with evident of tax, receipts of goods I buy but I mostly deal with cash and I don't have much in my account. If I may add we went to dubai for 2 weeks to spend this last xmas and new year as a family( we have 2 kids a 1 year and 3 years); that was our 1st time. My question is how do we go about applying. What documents should we present and how do we present them to guarantee our success. My concern is that it is not a holiday period as both our kids are in school, nursery and creche. Is it going to affect us? But I heard schools will be given 2 weeks break for d election can we mention that? Thanks in anticipation |
