Education / Your Urgent Advice Pls by toby2(m): 1:07pm On Jan 31, 2017
I have been trying to proceed with my studies for a while now, tried minna, nekede and yabatech, the latter two are even just silent and am really running outta patience.
So recently someone helped me with admission into a poly in zamfara, i stay in Abuja currently buh everyone is wary about me going up there. I need some advice pls? Is there something about Zamfara that i should know about? Fedpoly Zamfara to be precise

Saw this on facebook and decided to share

Boss says to his secretary, “We are
travelling abroad for the week, so
make arrangements.”
The secretary makes a call to her
husband, “My boss and I will be
travelling abroad for the week, so look after kids.”
The husband makes call to secret lover, “My wife
is going abroad for the week, so let’s spend the
week together.”
The secret lover makes a call to
a little boy whom she
is giving private lessons, “I’m going
to be busy throughout the week, so
you need not come for classes.” The little boy
makes call to his grandfather, “Grandpa, I don’t
have
classes for the week, because my teacher is going
to be busy. Let’s spend the week together.”
The
grandpa makes a call to his
secretary, “I’m afraid we won’t be
travelling again. My grandson and I are going to
spend the week together.”
The secretary makes a
call to her husband, “My boss has some personal
matters to attend
to, so our trip is cancelled.”
The
husband makes a call to secret
lover, “We cannot spend the week together, my
wife has cancelled her trip.” The secret lover
makes a call to little boy, “We will still have
classes as usual this week.” The little boy makes
a call to his
grandfather, “Grandpa! I’m sorry
we won’t be able to spend the
week together. My teacher called and said that I
have to attend classes.” The grandpa makes a
call to his secretary, “Change of plans! My
grandson is no more coming. So
we are still traveling this week.
Make arrangements.”
Can someone pls tell me who is controlling this
chain? . Copied anyways

I critisized it then as much as I do now. Even if I did not and I am now it is still not out of place.
This is just one out of many unreasonable promises they made... If they want to start fulfilling them, they could start by making 1 dollar equal to 1naira. I can bet my last kobo that if the FG does that, they will not have to feed anybody at all.

About the "empty stomach" thing, I can remember times as a kid when I watched movies and played games (video and outdoor) from morning to night, without thinking of food nor having any... If education is made that interesting, I don't see it not being the same for the kids.
Don't mind the niccur, that same money will empower some parents for various businesses, they'll be able to feed em families. Teach a man how to fish and he'll forever be grateful.

Talk about Nigerians and being difficult to please............. in one breadth you shout "There is hunger in the land", now government is feeding school children, you ask " is this the most important thing?"........

Pray tell, what better way to put the money into good use? I hope you know that it has been scientifically and medically proven that hungry children cannot assimilate NADA!!!!
as if we both dont knw how its gonna play out. SMH for u

is this the most important thing? With everything going on? There are better ways to put those money to good use that will still end up benefiting the children

7 year old burnt to death for stealing garri

This country is a SHIT HOLE
although killing that guy was very bad, i dont think the guy stole garri as painted, and i dont tink the nigga is 7 as stated also.
Just watched the video and i heard someone saying in the background 'to ba ri b'won ti se me l'ojo wo nbi' meanin: if u see wat dey did to me the other day...

Another one was heard saying 'Awon na kii pity eyan' meaning: They also don't pity others...
An average Nigerian will caution and even give free meal so someone talk more of a '7 year old kid stealing "one cup of garri"
i think there is more if u ask me

Those days u drink garri with pride

Where garri was garrium

Kulikuli was called home boys kola

Where we 'mess' each other without hatred

Days wia we go to skul late

Sow 3 1/4 as shorts and call it 'lagbaja'

Wear black/brown ankle socks instead of white

We wear black sandals in place of brown

We tuck out shirt, roll our short sleeves, with our towels either in the back pocket or neck

we spend our tfares and trek home

Avoid crying so as to show big boy/girl when flogged... Etc

Writing love letters

Fighting 'chinese' during breaks to show ur kung fu skills(especially after watching one)

Following big bros to see his babe

Buying baba dudu, gogo sweet, ekana gowan, water gun, water game, sisi pelebe and so on with less than 10naira

Receiving serious beating when u mess up at home

Clearing grass as punishment

List goes on and on man...

Now, life has been too complicated for adults talk more of our kids and upcoming kids

We were so contented with wat we have then, No means No, not now again.

GenBuhari:
Zamfara also just happens to be the home state of the defence minister.

Hope it is just a happy coincidence and that Zamfara is truely the most suitable state for the station / school.

Having said that, there are many reasons locating it in this region makes sense.

The region has the dreaded Boko Haram insurgency problem so it may make sense to have the Air Force station in the North East.

The North East needs jobs as BH has devasted their economies and left their youths idle and vunerable to recruitment by BH terrorists.

It is okay, we can not abandon the North in economic development, it is in all our interest that the North catches up with the economic engines of the Southern states.

If more Development projects are going to the North than other regions, it may be because the North is underdeveloped so it makes sense that more resources should go there.
must it only be military developments? What happens to educating them first... They will rather give them okada to be causing accidents than propaly educating them. All these millitary stuffs will only make them prey to bad leaders... Free a man mentally and u have given him the truest form of freedom
