I can testify that the CAC online registration is not a scam.
Few weeks to depart Naija last year, i read on nairaland about how to do the registration online and immediately visited the site to verify starting from my proposed company name. One was approved In less than 3 hours and i proceeded in paying the 10k with my ATM card through remita. Having done that, i printed the paper works and located the nearest CAC close to me. Few mistakes i made
1. Payment was made in my name but should be in the approved company's name.
Solution you can edit online yourself with little stress.
2. My paper works were printed in black and white , but got rejected
Solution. I took it back home to use my coloured printer especially the front page with the logo. One guy was outside selling the front page
3. Get together all certificates incase of professional related company like health, schools etc
4.Make copies of each in two files. There is always a desk officer to check at the entrance and dont forget your passport photograph.with any two government identification cards.
With all these boldly request to see the admin.officer and be ready to part with phone call tips to do follow up.
Three weeks after, i was called to pick my certificate.
The online stuff is good but they will try to frustrate you to patronize the lawyers who often time conspire with the officers but once you are ready to give tips, you will get it done.
TIPS is part of the system, dont be deceived!

My lawyer collected 80k with nothing to show while i spent 15,500 to do it myself.

Hello, there is no problem if you really want to do your Limited Liability Company by yourself, however, concerning the stamping (stamp duty) by the Commissioner of Stamp duty.

First question: Since the Corporate Affairs Commission have take their registration, the FIRS (Federal Inland Revenue Service) the agency in charge of Stamp duty have also made stamping online, normally, if you are done with your registration with CAC online, the portal will automatically direct you to the platform to make your stamping of all your CAC documents. Everything now is online.

Secondly, although all stamping of pre-incorporation registration documents are now online, however, you can find a Commissioner of Stamp Duty in CAC Alausa, Abuja etc. Its only when you want to stamp a post-incorporation (increase of share capital, re-allotment of the company share capital, alteration of the company memorandum and article of association etc)

Thirdly, i doubt if you can use the same memorandum and article of association of a friends company, you must ascertain and ask yourself some questions like; are we having the same business objectives, nature of businesses, do we have the same company culture, is the company a private limited or a public limited company, what is the authorized share capital of the company e.t.c. You cannot just take any random article or memorandum of association of a company and just use it.

Finally, if you truly feel you have the knowledge to register your Limited Liability Company, i will advise you use the online portal or platform. But i will advise you outsource it to a CAC Accredited Agent. With them its faster, no queries, they have the know-how, no mistakes, cheaper and quicker. Within 5 WORKING DAYS you will get your certificate, CTCs and your Memorandum and Article of Association.

Report has it that Jane graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, in 2016 and was awaiting her youth service before she was attacked with acid.

“It happened on April 11, 2017 in Port-harcourt. After my graduation I went into cosmetic business; I got a very small shop where I was managing. I was coming back from my shop that fateful day, at about 8:00 pm; I was walking to the house when I started hearing a male voice calling ‘Chi-chi’. I thought it was somebody that wanted to toast me; I thought it was a way of attracting my attention.

“I didn’t really give him any attention. When he kept calling that name I felt it could be a way of taking my phone or robbing me so I put my phone in my bag and in less than three seconds somebody tapped me on the shoulder.”

“Immediately I turned, he poured the substance which was in a small container on me and I screamed. He ran away while I was screaming and shouting for help. People came out, poured me water and eventually they took me to the hospital that very night.

“I was in the hospital in Port-harcourt there for two weeks before I was referred to National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu. When I went to Orthopaedic, the next day they went on strike; I went into coma because then the wound had already been infected because the hospital where they took me wasn’t a burns hospital. So they did not take proper care of the wound so it was bringing forth pus and was smelling.

“So I went into coma and was rushed to a private hospital, Hill-top; it was there I had two surgeries and stayed there for 35 days after paying over N1m.

“I was taken back to Orthopaedic, by then they had called off the strike; it was there that I had the remaining three surgeries. So altogether I have gone through 5 plastic surgeries in the cause of this acid attack.

“Eventually I lost the two ears; I still have a contracture on the neck, and then the left hand, and then the hair at the back.

"I don’t know because I never quarreled with anyone. If I had quarreled with anyone may be by now I may have arrested the person. So I don’t really know. I take this to be a mistaken identity because the name he was calling wasn’t my name. My name is not Chi, or Chinyere or anything related to that. And the person didn’t wait to see the face of the Chinyere he was calling. So maybe he took me to be Chinyere and poured me that substance".

"Even that very night they say they caught the person. But they thought he stole my phone because they heard me screaming. They saw him with an android phone and they confronted him accusing him of having snatched the phone from the girl that was screaming. He said no it’s his phone. They said ok, if it’s your phone, call the number. They dialed the number and it rang and they gave him back the phone and he left. So it was while I was in the hospital the person brought the number to me. I called the police and gave my statement but they asked me to pay N70,000 to track the number alongside other expenses. I didn’t have much money and I needed even more for my treatment so couldn’t raise the money. After my statement they left and I didn’t hear from them again till today".

Upon her condition, Jane has refused to question God. “I know my God has a reason for whatever happens. He is still my God and has seen me through even when doctors gave me 30% chances of survival. I am grateful to Him for keeping me alive.”

I applied for UK Visa in 2016 but was denied. Now I am re applying next Month but i have forgotten the Date of Birth i used for my Dad & Mom as i do not know their real date of birth. is there anyway i could retrieve my Previous application? Your positive response will be highly appreciated.

Assembled not produced. Nigerian government doesn't support production or manufacturing of anything. The only thing they rely on is the OIL. The money from oil goes to government, government officials divide the money among themselves

Today I visited the TLS to pick up passport for my children, thank God it was positive.
2 years granted to both them.
Thank God and thank everyone.
But most importantly; this people send wrong emails to us,we should only cliff to God and work on advise from the experts here.

Why are you worrying yourself since the application is ready for pick up? Nothing anyone will tell you here on this forum that will change there decision. Go and pick up the passport. Wish you best of luck.

They have trained people that carry out verification of statements.

I don't think they will ask for account balance. They will ask applicant's bank to confirm if the account actually exist
