nazzyon: For him, Isa Munlaila, who had just arrived Abuja after embarking on an angered trekking from Lagos, against President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 presidential ambition, his 34 days journey, which he began about 40 days ago, as he claimed worth sacrificing for, saying his action was to registered youth anger over current state of the nation.
Having spend 34 days on road Munkaila, who left Lagos over a month ago, arrived Abuja yesterday evening, during which he said he was fulfilled to have trekked the distance from Lagos to Abuja against the second term aspiration of Buhari.
Speaking about the journey at People Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Abuja, on Tuesday, where he was received, the young Nigerian hinted that he tekked minimum of 12 hours on daily basis and then slept anywhere night meets him, and continuing his journey to Abuja.
He had initially planned to reach Abuja between 18 and 20 days, but because of a sore leg, the journey lasted for 34 days.
“As I trekked, I saw people angry with this present government because of hardship and failure to deliver on what was promised. When people see me, they hailed me for trekking. Some people were asking me if I was doing it for some political parties and I said no, but for the youths of this country. We are for good governance,” he said.

FlirtyKaren: Nollywood actress Adebimpe Oyebade, who was crowned 'The Best New Actress 2018’ in the Yoruba section of the City People Awards ahead of so many big names in the industry, has revealed how she stumbled on acting and why she's got no man at the moment.
Here are excerpts from the interview Adebimpe Oyebade granted Vanguard;
You just won ‘Best New Actress 2018 (Yoruba) at the City People Magazine Awards that held last Saturday. What’s the feeling like, in view of having being in the industry for just two years?
I feel great. It is by the grace of God and hardwork. I joined the industry in 2016 but started professionally in 2017, after my NYSC in Benin in 2016. I started with modeling when I was in the university but didn’t go professional until my service year in Edo State.
What spurred your interest in acting?
Honestly, acting was never in my plans; as a child I wanted to be an air hostess or a newscaster. Acting happened by chance for me. During my NYSC I got an information about a movie audition, the director was casting for a lead role of a movie. I decided to audition for the role, it was an online audition, so, I sent different videos to the email that was attached to the message that I got. Eventually, I got selected to play the role, the movie was titled ‘Agbede Meji’ (cross road) by Yomi Fabiyi. I acted alongside Gabriel Afolayan. After the production of the movie I went back to Benin to complete my service year. The movie however got a lot of good reviews and that got me so many acting opportunities.
Are you in a relationship?
I’m very single and not searching. I’m focused on my career so I don’t need any man.
You mean having a man in your life will disrupt your career?
I don’t mean it that way, if I meet someone today and I like him then why not? What I’m trying to say is that I’m not desperate to be in a relationship.

Chriswazo: You talk true sha, I don't encourage the point you are arguing against, but do you know my concern for asking the question, the reality or truth now is that no average family will go the extra mile of selling out their properties and stress themselves out to raise 5 million for one of their own to go do MSc and expect the person to just come back with certificate or paper home with no other achievement or value, that would amount to big shame to the person and family when he or she is back. There are other expectations and prayers your people have from you, common sense should tell you that. The only exception in this case is if you are from a very rich family and they just want you to get a western University cert to step up your profile for the jobs or programs they have saved for you. Stay home for your MSC then. Don't allow people to fool you. No way you can make 10 million naira in 2 years with your part time job. Even with full time, you have to be a professional to be able to save such amount (about €24000). Also you are a new comer to the system, you can't compare your 2 years to 2 years of someone who have been living in Germany for 10 years. Your best bet is to repay back the money in a period of time after you have settled down. Taxes and bills will take like 60 to 75 percent of your income |

Politics › Re: Amaechi: "Nigerians Will Enjoy 24-Hour Power Supply If Buhari Is Re-elected" by tolani4real: 6:40pm On Sep 12, 2018 |
Lizzysamuel: The Minister of Transportation and Director general of the Buhari campaign organization, Rotimi Amaechi has said Nigerians will enjoy 24 hours power supply if President Buhari is re-elected in 2019. Amaechi disclosed this during an interactive session with the media in Abuja on Tuesday, September 11th.
 Speaking on why Buhari and the APC government deserves the second term, Amaechi said;
“There is also an improvement in power. We have from 3000megawatt to 7000 but we are distributing 5000 because some of the Infrastructures are not in good state but we are slowly fixing them. The expectation is that it should be 24 hours power supply but there will still be a gap but if you give us a second term, that gap will be closed.”
Speaking further, the former Rivers state governor said;
“Nigerians have taught me a lesson I learnt in politics and that is why nothing bothers me again. The people praising you today, if you see them when you are out of power, you will be shocked. Those singing hallelujah and hosanna will still be the same people to shout crucify him tomorrow.
“We have done much more than transport. In terms of Corruption; this economy was a rent economy. Public money was spent anyhow and it was an economy that was not worked hard for. That is why you see politicians today very rich and one year after government, they are poor. They are like that because they don’t know how to manage the money.
“When Buhari came, he said no and that we cannot continue to spend anyhow. Buhari has not said people should not steal, he has rather kept quiet to see who can steal because there is a consequence for stealing.
“I don’t want to say it has stopped completely but it has reduced. Before, there were so many empty houses in Abuja. People were building and speculating that new politicians will come in and buy but we came in and could not buy because of the economy. So if you say Buhari has not done anything on corruption, you are being most unfair.
“Also, the 2016 budget was 6percent capita but we are doing 20 percent capita now. We are doing 80 percent recurrent and 20 percent capital. We believe that in the next two to three years, we will get to 30 percent capital and we will get there if we reduce the current expenditure and deal with wastage.” “It is also unfair if Nigerians think the ministry of works is not working. The road to Bonny was abandoned after Obasanjo left government.
“The road was below N39bn but it is now N120bn. When I was Governor, I wrote to federal government under Jonathan that I wanted to do the road for N39bn but they didn’t reply me. “My final year as governor, energy wrote that they will take care of 50 percent of the bill and I wrote again to the Federal Government but they didn’t reply because I was in APC. Now that the Federal government wants to do it, the cost is now N120bn.
“So, Buhari government is dealing with corruption, building roads. The worst roads in Nigeria used to be between Uyo and Calabar but it has been awarded.
“The road to Enugu too that people are complaining about, contractors are working on the roads already. The work may be slow but they are working. When we came oil was $28 per barrel and our budget was $35 and suddenly it dropped but the Minister of Budget managed it for us to survive. Now oil is $74 but we still have not reached $110. If we get to that, things will change rapidly. Also the Ilorin-Jebba road. So many roads have been awarded.”

Well, I don't think it's possible. My personal opinion though ...
Note it's part time job. Which kind of part time job will pay you 11€ an hour. I'm asking cause I'm also interested ... Guys are not sincere to this man. How many of those immigrants working full time who are living there can save that amount in 2 years. Most of these menial jobs only pay minimum wages. Minimum wage per hour in Germany is like €8.50. Moreso I don't know why the man is so desperate about making 10 million naira in 2 years. Our youth are so money hungry. More reasons they get involved in shady business |

useni1: Earning $1,306 weekly is just a bit over $62,000 annually, when taxed you are left with less than $45,000 to spend for the whole year. That is not money, Nigerian living in America knows it is the truth. At most you should be able to save just $6,000 in a year from that. Most people don't even make $60000 you are talking about even with degree unless your field is in engineering or health care industry. Only few jobs are actually paying $60000 or above. Most entry level jobs salary range is between $30k - $40 for graduates. The money is big to us in naija but we never factor in taxes and other expenses. One bedroom in good area is about $1000. This country is built for people to be able to live comfortable and enjoy basic needs not for wealth accumulations |
