Education › Re: Why Do Nigerians Not Speak British English? by Tolexander: 9:36am On Sep 27, 2019
TissuePaper:
I mean we were colonized by the British colonial masters who taught us English as well, and if there is anything i'm aware of its that the colonized country usually adopts the language and speaking pattern of their colonial masters like Senegal, Ivory Coast et al.

The English we speak here in Nigeria is very banal and unrefined, would've been nice if we at least adopted England's Queens English.

Lalasticlala Dominique mynd44
And why don’t the Australians, Canadians, Indians, South Africans et al who were formally part of the dominion and commonwealth of United Kingdom speak the British accent.

US 13 colonies, now states, why don’t they speak the British accent?

They are up to you to reason

Josiane, a Cameroonian woman living in Douala, was Samuel Eto’o’s former Girlfriend when he was an amateur footballer playing in the local league.
[b]Too financially demanding, Josiane had no idea that the young footballer will one day become one of the biggest stars of the world football and obviously, one of the richest sportsmen on the planet[//b].

He thinks our national team is a dumping ground for players that have lost values in their dream of representing an European nation?

We no want am. We currently parade footballers with greater potentials and dreams than him.

I’m sure if he is prospering in a big European club, he won’t think of switching allegiance.

The saddening part is that, Nigeria Military may not remember that something like this happened, keeping the date of the tragedy so that they can be remembered historically.
It won’t be surprising to hear that the entitlements of these men have not been given to their families

Let the world know that our languages can be taught in Chinese schools
This is so lovely!

This same Igbo language which some of our ndigbo friends here are despising, forgetting that no language gives a better understanding than one’s mother tongue.

Sometimes I do weep for our indigenous languages, most especially Igbo which is mostly on the verge of die off among the 3 major languages in Nigeria.

This is a wake up call to the ndigbo that igbo language is invaluable.

There is nothing to prove there rather that what God has made... There is nothing like oil producing state in South West accept little from Ondo which all Nigerian can attest that the oil producing areas is not even originally Ondo..

So stop this arguments.

Who is talking about geopolitical zone when we are talking about Eastern Nigeria which Ondo do not belong.

South West second largest in your dreams. Even Ondo can't produce 11 percent of what one local government in oyigbo in Rivers can produce and yet obasanjo doing attach by force smuggled her inside.

I repeat, he is not one of us.
Bring out the document on the oil producing states and embarrass yourself!

And River State is in what geopolitical zone?
