Nigeria’s Osita Offor, aka De Ultimate Commander, will be defending his heavyweight wrestling title against United States’ Bobby Lashley on December 6 in Lagos.
Addressing a news conference ahead of the fight in Lagos on Saturday, the promoter of the event Arinze Aghaeliaku said the event would feature singers Tuface Idibia and Omawumi.
Both musicians, scheduled to perform at intervals during the fight, are packaged under the Aghalieaku Entertainment in collaboration with popular showbiz impresario Tee Mac Itseli.
Aghaeliaku said apart from thrilling wrestling fans with the bouts, the event would also be used to exhibit Nigerian arts and culture to guests from different parts of the world.
The promoter, who declined to reveal the amount involved in bankrolling the event, said what was important was to provide an opportunity for the Nigerian wrestler to defend his title before his countrymen.
“I can tell you that I am using the show to portray the good side of Nigeria to the world at large. It is not about associating Nigeria with crimes but about cultural re-awakening, which the fight is meant to project,” Aghaeliaku said.
Secretary of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation Ralph Nwofor said a high tech 2011 19X19 metre World Wrestling Federation-approved ring was already on its way to Nigeria for the event.
Wrestlers expected to feature in the tag team fights include Marty Wright, Anthony Mayweather, Cliff Treiber and Troy Martin (The Franchise Shane Douglas).
Others are Jason Adams, Ghana’s David Njo Matike, Jay Batista and Eric Milford, Sione Vailahi (the Barbarian), Junior Fatu (Rikishi) and Kevin Sullivan.
On his readiness for the fight, De Ultimate Commander said, “I have never lost any fight so it is going to be a great motivation for me to have defend my title before fellow Nigerians.” orisun |

Juderejoice: There is this guy who kept asking me out since 2010 but i kept turning him down because i was in a relationship. Sometime in late 2012 i got out of the relationship; but through all these years he never stopped asking me out. So early this year i accepted fully aware that he was already in a relationship he says he can't let go. Although he never makes me feel like there is someone else i can't help but feel like a mistress or better still a concubine; but with all these i can't bring myself to let him go. Din't knw what to do. well, it is love out of an outrightly silly mind! If you can be a second girl to the guy now, why didn't you choose him as the second guy when he started proposing to you? Very obvious you agreed to the guy's proposal just because you need a solace for the broken relationship and not because it had been long the guy had been battering you with his consistent proposal. |

Cross River State at the weekend in Ilorin retained its title at the Sterling Bank-sponsored 6th National School Sports Festival after coming top on the overall medals’ table, thereby winning the trophy for keeps after winning it for three consecutive times. The state finished with 115 gold, 78 silver and 61 bronze medals. Lagos came second, after garnering 49 gold, 43 silver and 54 bronze medals; Anambra with the largest number of contingent was third with 48 gold, 49 silver and 63 bronze medals. Declaring the festival close, KwaraState governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, represented by the state Head of Service, Aihaji Dabarako Mohammed was grateful to everyone that made the festival a success in spite of the short notice. “I congratulated the NSSF for a successful festival, it has been able to foster unity among Nigerians and I prayed that the high standard will be maintained. The festival should be a platform for the future of sports in the country,” he said. He said Kwara State government will always be ready to host competition of this magnitude whenever the state is called upon, just as he promised that the state’s sporting infrastructure would be improve upon for future competitions. He concluded by saying that “athletes discovered by the state during the festival will be nurtured to greater heights and taken good care of.” orisun |

Education › FG Didnt Give ASUU Ultimatum – Jonathan by Tolexander(op): 8:06pm On Nov 30, 2013 |
President Goodluck Jonathan has weekend, said his government did not give the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, an ultimatum to resume work or be sacked.
Fielding questions from newsmen at the expanded caucus meeting of the Bayelsa State Peoples Democratic Party held at Government House, Yenagoa, the President said, the Supervising Minister of Education only passed on the decision of the Committee of Vice Chancellors.
“We didn’t give them ultimatum; it was the Committee of Vice Chancellors that took that decision. The Supervising Minister of Education only passed on the decision.”
Jonathan also said the strike embarked upon by the ASUU was no longer a trade dispute , but a subversive action.
He said, “What ASUU is doing is no longer trade union. I have intervened in other labour issues before now, once I invite them they respond and after the meeting they take decision and call off the strike.
“At times we don’t even give them a long notice, unlike, in the case of ASUU that was given four days notice before the meeting. As you are meeting to resolve trade disputes, you expect the trade unions to get their officials ready.
“What was expected having met with the highest authorities in the land for long hours, was for ASUU to immediately issue statement within 12 or latest 24 hours , to state their position whether they were accepting government’s offer or not. And if they are not accepting they should state the reason for that.”
“But despite the fact that I had the longest meeting with ASUU in my political history, we did not start that meeting until around 2:00pm and the meeting ended the next day in the early hours. As far as the government of Nigeria was concerned, all the critical people that should be in a meeting were there, so what else do they want?
“After that they didn’t meet until one week, despite the fact that you met with the highest authority. It was unfortunate one of them, Prof. Iyayi died.
“The way ASUU has conducted the matter shows they are extreme and when Iyayi died, they now said the strike was now indefinite, our children have been at home for over five months.” orisun |

Anytime I wake up, I try to remember her face but I couldn't!
This afternoon, I took a short nap and I dreamt about me caressing her breast, going down her vag to play with and insert my d1ck, low n behold, I saw a very tiny d1ck like a cap on the top of the vag! It looked like..........honestly I can't really explain! The d1ck and another layer below surrounded the hole!

exactly why there should be a potent political system of at least 2 political parties of fierce rivalry and not a system in which one will be dominating for centuries with a landslide victory.
A devil can be nice if it has a fierce competitor. Not because it is normal for it but because it has no option. |

At least, he should show us a proof maybe picture to show his present presence in Benin. Asari-Dokubo who spoke through the South East/ North Central Coordinator of Niger Delta People’s Volunteers Force, Mr. Emmanuel Amakiri in Abuja, accused enemies of the present administration for his current travail and incarceration by Beninoise gendarmes. The problem about nigerians, always ready to blame things on enemy but not always ready to accept the the situation as self inflicted. He could tell us he was incarcerated as a result of the enemies and not his own action that warranted the incarceration. |

nerodenero: I have observed over time that most awards in Nigeria are given based on ethnic lines and this is not different despite being given abroad.Another case is an award given recently to Punch newspaper where all the winners were yorubas. If you look behind these organizers, dont be surprised that they are Igbos. This shameful habit needs to stopAside the case of Madam Needful,Why give awards to those who have increased poverty in the land?People who loot with reckless abandon and yet we celebrate them. With such trend, there is no how foreign countries will take us seriously. This and many more are the reasons behind the ill-treatment Nigerians get abroad. With the rate at which corruption is going in the country,if care is not taken, this administration will be given a huge space in the Guinness Book of Records as the most corrupt administration ever in the world. There is still time for Jonathan to nip this in the bud. bro, i refuse to believe this award is ethnic oriented but see it as a group that need money from these honourees. Guess you missed where Gov Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of Kaduna state was honoured or is kaduna in the south east? |

Speaking at the top of her voice, Ms. Akpabio said it was shameful and insulting for the organizers to give an award to the minister after series of air mishaps in the country under her watch, which resulted in loss of many lives, as well as the alleged scandal in the purchase of the bullet- proof BMW cars involving the minister. yet, some people see her as a hero! |
