[quote author=aminulive post=60425604]Popular socialite and convener of the 'Ourmumudondo' movement, Charlyboy Oputa has reacted to the alleged invasion of the home of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu in Umuahia, Abia state. Charlyboy, in a statement made available to PoliticsNGR, advised the federal government to be more committed to dousing the rising tensions and fostering peace and unity. The statement read; "Our attention has been drawn to the recent detachment of soldiers from the Nigerian Army to the Afaraukwu country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and the invasion of Abia State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists on Aba Road, Umuahia, which led to the destruction of laptops and other valuables thereby causing unnecessary panic within the state and the entire region. We consider this move an aberration that must be strongly condemned in a democratic environment like ours. The good people of Abia State deserve better than the undue panic under which they have been placed since the invasion which has completely restricted them from going about their daily activities freely like they used to. In as much as we are aware that the Federal Government is concerned about curbing divisive messages and inordinate agitations within the country, we believe it should be more concerned about safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians in any part of the country. It is also important to note that though recanted, the October 1 ultimatum issued by some misguided northern youths to the Igbos in the north remains weighty in the minds of many and the atmosphere is hypersensitive to any mishap that could foment such inter-ethnic melee. We urge the Federal Government; therefore, that, rather than steaming up the flames of enmity and discord within the country by using force on harmless citizens, it should be more committed to dousing tensions and promoting peace and unity. Finally, we appeal to the Federal Government to be more circumspect and solution-focused in handling sensitive matters as secessionist agitations within the country." http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/13/charlyboy-reacts-nigerian-armys-invasion-nnamdi-kanus-home/ [/quote Uncle Chally no dey naija wen kanu dey do like mumu? Let's remove sentiment, kanu overstretched his luck! Even trump will not tolerate dis madness in America. However, FG should temper justice wt mercy |
SarkinYarki:what injustice?? Political power is achieved through politics. Though i agree there's structural imbalance in Nigeria political setup, i think SE wasn't politically strategic. This is not d way to go |
squash47:Yahooze?! Maximum security is awaiting u my dear. Soup wey sweet na money kill am. many who attended d cheap public universities studied computer science for "6 years" due to strikes and never saw or touch a computer system till they graduate. I have been wondering about the current Presidency and Senate ego duel, and some questions keep begging for answers. what's your legal view to this questions? If Osinbajo is impeached as Acting President, is PMB impeached by extension? Can Osinbajo resume his office as VP since he was not impeached as VP? what is the position of our constitution on this? ![]() |

Plaintainboy:U must either be attending a mushroom church where ur pst notice #5k offering. |
akintom:Hmmmmm |
Plaintainboy:You re d silly one here! U just exhibited ignorance in ur comment. What do you know about winners chapel? Mind u, there are no donors in winners. Stop saying what u re ignorant of. |
Hmmmmm, now I truly appreciate d word ignorance. Jumping into conclusion without knowing how an event transpired n passing uninformed judgment is height of ignorance. There re so many questions dat all d enthusiastic critics of oyedepo can not answer at dis point but they are eager to comment. Was d money given in cash or electronic transfer? Was it given to oyedepo directly or dropped as offering during d course of normal church service? Was is dropped in oyedepo branch or at other branch of d church? Does oyedepo even know dis person who dropped the money? Please do not speak profanity until proven dat bishop compromised his faith. Be guided! |
Do u know the calibre of people who constitute his congregation? astute business men/women, successful professionals, etc who by all standards cannot be marooned by any scammer. The bulk of the tithe comes from them (no prejudice to widows mite givers whose giving God appreciates more). for years they ve continually given and aspire to even give more! If they are not getting their "spiritual returns" as written in the Holy book, they would ve backed out long ago. that means it is actually working! not MMM or wonder bank, and the congregations are not stupid as u think. BTW if it was that easy u can float another "Faith Tabernacle" and let's see how far u can go "mr Smart". I advise u desist from unwarranted bitterness and display of spiritual ignorance. Silence is your right; I advise u take it. If u care to know, I'm a happy Tither, and I'm excited to tithe till d world ends. U may heed Akiolu's advice Lagoooooooooon -akintom: |
This is bilateral ir*responsibility from both ends. Bad leadership has been the bane of Nigeria. For the falcons, what happened to your patriotism? |

chosen04:Is Jonathan an igbo man? Even d south southerners are moving on! 2019 is just around doing corner and it could be an igbo presidency. What will you reap then? Reason with Joe biko |
The earlier we realize this country has only two political parties (suffering masses party n stealing Bourgeois party). membership of both parties cut across all Nigerian tribes n religion. A clear example was d dasuki gate. Even respected elders from my southwest had their names on the roll. What baffles me more is that they are succeeding themselves with their children to continue the trend. They often drop the catalyst of disharmony such as religion n tribe into suffering masses party to make sure they never form a common front upon which true revolution can thrive. While they cross same tribal n religious line to marry their children amid display of affluence, to further cement partnership in stealing n political robbery. The truth is if bourgeois from the SS n SE want a republic today, it will happen in few months. The question is are they truly in support of it? Let's us wake up! |
Life goes on! Painful though. I hope NFF will offer Siasia proper contract to build us a team before next tournament. Always a proud Green-white-green! |

There won't be absence of opposition. If PDP does not assume the role, d electorates will indirectly do. However, at at d next election in four yrs time, Nigerians will vote any "seemingly credible" candidate; outside PDP, except it plays an effective opposition role. I doubt if APC would squander dis hard earned privilege! |
