What an elaborate and a revealing piece by Gbulie! I have always loved Kaduna Nzeogwu for his determination, courage, foresight and vision for a better Nigeria! If the coup had succeeded, Nigeria by now would have been the toast of other Nations! The January 15 putsch was a blessing in disguise for Nigerians because if the Sardauna-initiated January 17th Jihad had succeeded, I can only say the case of Nigeria would have been worst than Sudan! May His (Nzeogwu) soul continue to Rest In Peace!

Lordlexyy: And you think Roosevelt wasn't lucky to have good congress men by his side? Whatever you call it, it is on record that Obama single handedly confronted the worst economic meltdown in history after the great 30, and you don't consider that as achievement? Somebody equally posted record of job recovery an issue that still ratle major European countries and in your wisdom you felt Obama should not be credicted? We all know how much most people are not happy with the steady progress his govt is making in addition to the Obamacare and would rather throw spanner to obstruct his work, may be because of his skin colour. His ability to allow wisdom to prevail in the face off with Russia with respect to the syria crisis shows the quality of good leadership. If his option of diplomacy rather than war over the Syria issue is considered weakling so be it, but for those of us who are sane believe it was the right step in the right direction.Son, are you new to international politics, what is the meaning of that? 'Single-handedly'? Check out Roosevelt, may be you'll understand me better! |
@Katz you may read up this at leisure; Obama’s Failure to Lead Obama went campaigning after he knew there had been a terrorist attack. Obama mentioned terrorist attack only once in the rose garden. Obama didn’t speak until after Mitt Romney. Criticized Mitt Romney for shooting first and aiming later. Failure to Protect 3 Requests were made for backup. Those requests were denied. With a 7 hour battle, help was within reach. White House refuses to say where Obama was while the attack occurred. http://obamalies.net/list-of-obamas-failures |
Katsumoto: Why won't Obama's approval ratings be low in a country where people say they love the Affordable Care Act and Hate Obamacare when the two are exactly the same thing? At the first bolded, I didn't ask for that unnecessary comparison, you and I know we are not practicing the same system of government in the real sense of it! At the second bolded; kindly understand my point, American Presidents have a way of swinging rating to themselves based on the way they command some respects in the way they handle issues both home and abroad, the problem with Obama started with the followings; 1. Passing on the keystone pipeline. 2. Touts a Green Energy Company as exemplary that fails a year later. 3. Using the Gulf Oil Spill to promote Green Energy – instead of cleaning it up. 4. Thinking the Tea Party is a passing fad – or that they are racists. 5. Pulling out of Iraq with no clear victory over insurgent forces. 6. Trying to re-write history through speeches – with inaccurate information (i.e. Statue of Liberty)......I can give you more only if you don't try to bungle this debate ![]() |
Katsumoto: Is Mr Unger aware of the followingI think I am on a contrary view to your above-quoted submissions, Obama's approval ratings has plummeted over the months and keeps going down, American President's achievements are generally pinned on their foreign policies and you will agree with me that Obama is not too good in that aspect! Infact the term, most Powerful President on Earth, came about after the bravery in government displayed by Delano Roosevelt (most loved American President ever, and in my own view the best) on American domestic problems (curbing the financial meltdown within by advocating for Securities and Exchange Commission, a first of its kind, and also providing security for Americans during the WWII), his stance on foreign policies favoured Americans and showed that he is a man who knew his onions on the runnings of International politics, he was a sagacious politician in all ramifications. Obama failed in many aspects, all what you listed above as his achievemnets was a result of him being lucky to have a good numbers of Democrats as Congressmen on his side; you make look up this link for his approval ratings;http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2505072/President-Obamas-approval-rating-hits-NEW-time-low-poll-39-country-thinking-doing-good-job.html |
noblezone: How did you come about this? many here will not agree with you.You just wait and see by Sunday, 17th November, 2013 you can compare and contrast my predictions with the real outcome! |
The US has designated Nigeria's Boko Haram and Ansaru militant groups as foreign terrorist organisations. The state department described the move as "an important" step to help Nigeria "root out violent extremism". It means US regulatory agencies are instructed to block business and financial transactions with the groups. Boko Haram wants to impose Islamic law in northern Nigeria, and has been blamed for thousands of deaths. Ansaru is seen as an off-shoot of Boko Haram. Boko Haram began its insurgency in 2009, and targets both the military and civilians, including schools, and frequently clashes with the Nigerian armed forces. Ansaru was formed in January 2012, though it rose to prominence only about six months later through the release of a video in which it vowed to attack Westerners in defence of Muslims worldwide. The group has proved to be a formidable threat during its short existence, using dynamite to penetrate heavily-fortified compounds and taking foreigners hostage. Atrocities claim In a statement, the US state department said Wednesday's "designations are an important and appropriate step". But it stressed that this was "only one tool in what must be a comprehensive approach by the Nigerian government to counter these groups". The decision means that it is now a crime under US law to provide material support to the two groups. Boko Haram was earlier seen as an organisation which only posed a domestic threat - one reason why the US has not previously designated it as a terrorist organisation, the BBC's Will Ross in Lagos reports. But during the last three years - as its attacks have intensified - there have also been signs of a more international agenda, our correspondent says. This included the 2011 raid on the UN building in the capital, Abuja, and also reports that Boko Haram has established links with al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and Al Shabab in Somalia. The group has several sources of funding - including bank lootings and ransom payments - which are unlikely to be affected by the US decision, our correspondent adds. Nigeria's government said in June that Boko Haram and Ansaru were terrorist organisations, warning that anyone who helped them would face a minimum prison sentence of 20 years. There have been allegations that some Nigerian politicians have supported Boko Haram. There is as yet no evidence to suggest the ongoing Nigerian military campaign is succeeding against the group. Civilians in the country's north-east are killed by the group every week, and the army is frequently accused of carrying out human rights atrocities there, our correspondent says. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-24931684 Source |

Brazilian Roberto Unger is a leading political philosopher and an advocate of progressive politics. He has taught at Harvard Law School for about 40 years and US President Barack Obama was one of his students in the 1980s. Asked why he moved from welcoming Obama's election in 2008 to calling him a "disaster" for the Democratic party, Mr Unger told HARDtalk the president had failed to "come up with a sequel to Roosevelt's New Deal" of the 1930s. "There is no project in the United States responsive to the needs and aspirations of the broad working class majority of the country," said Mr Unger. "Obama and his collaborators have mistaken conformism for realism," he added.
That woman entered the Chimes' family through the back door. To those that know how it works, such women always end up like this. You really are not expecting evil to last forever. Here is the thru scenario. Scene 1. Chime has a daughter, who also happen to have a runs gal as bossom friend. In trust, she takes runs gal home. Runs gal sees stupifying affluence. Her runs brain goes to work. Granted, Sullivan is randy, thinks he has seen all pants colors. This time he underestimated this particular runs gal's greed and desperation. Scene 2. Plot thickens. Schemings here and there as runs gal makes every evil move possible to break into Chime's family by hook or crook. She goes to Babalawo, Spiritualists etc. Scene 3. As the result of runs gal's evil plans takes effect, Chime's daughter's BOSSOM FRIEND she once innocently took home suddenly becomes her STEP MOTHER. Battle line was drawn and Things were no longer at ease. Scene 4. Runs gal is from runs family. Her parents and brothers will do anything for money, even if it means sacrificing their runs sister. They were all drawn into the gold rush. Chime's family went to God in prayers. Their prayer point was: That God should make the scales fall off their Daddy's eyes. Prayers answered. Scene 5. Its vendetta time as Sullivan realises he's been conned by runs gal. First payback move was to pregnate runs gal's sister to spite her and her family of wolves. This was also to prove to her that her juju aint working no more. Runs gal goes for Sullivans life. He fell ill but as God will have it he survived. Scene 6. Runs gal's juju backfires. She becomes mad. And is finally barnished and ejected from the position she once usurped, Wails and tears is heard everywhere in runs gal's family all THINGS FELL APART. While is thunderous jubilation in Chime's family as they thank God for their liberation and family reunion. TRUE STORY
I hope the laulau girls/ladies in the house are learning from this 'reality of life'? Not all that glitters is gold ![]() |
abes: They have started their lies again, its in their DNAYou are not smart, how come the State government is spending a whopping 8.4 billion on textbooks in the first place, this should be of concern to you and I hope you know that the cost at which those 'Opon Imo Tablets' were procured was never disclosed and this is what 'controversy' has revealed to us here. Below is your quoted source; The State of Osun on Monday took a giant step in its effort to tackle mass illiteracy and ease learning process in senior secondary schools across the state with the launch of Opon Imo. Opon Imo also known as the tablet of knowledge is an e-learning device, the first if its kind in Nigeria provided by the state government to equip students with knowledge and make it easier for them to pass school leaving certificates examination. According to the Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf ARegbesola, the journey of the electronic device adapted for education purpose, was conceived in 2011. He revealed that Opon Imo specifically meant for senior secondary students, will help ease the challenge of external examination and it will also save the state about N8.4 billion annually in textbook procurement costs. The Governor also stated that the device will ease the students of carrying loaded backpacks of books which according to research result in back pains for the students. Opon Imo is a standalone, educational, multimedia e-learning content platform that comes with pre-loaded applications for WAEC and JAMB approved text books. |
oluwashaddow: my dear d greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance,it is d illusion of knowledge, please b4 u compare things try to be informed about it,opon imo is probably d greatest learning device innovation to have come out of Africa n some other parts of the worldNo one is asking you for a homily, all what she raised is the disparity between the monetary figures of N2.65 billion to over N8 billion to acquire the said laptops and opon imo respectively, and it seems you are 'missing' this point ![]() |
