butterflyl1on: It is how epigenetics works. Environmental factors such as trauma, stress what we see and experience have been known to activate epigenetic changes. This is scientifically proven.
Epigenetic changes are biological markers on DNA that modify gene expression without altering the underlying sequence.
In other words, it can change skin colour, body markings but not the physical structure itself. Please stop embarrassing yourself! It's better you stick with the "there's nothing my God cannot do" line. |

Sarassin: Ok, all is clear. It’s not unusual to have images float through your mind when you are in the process of practising meditation, these are just images that your subconscious throws up whilst you are emptying your mind, again, pay no heed to these at this stage.
It seems to me you are exciting the crown chakra in isolation which in itself can be problematic, this is why I suggested the use of the mantras in the method I gave. This ensures that the chakras are activated in the right order from the bottom up culminating in the flowering of the crown chakra. I would suggest you incorporate the chanting into your practice. If you already do the chanting of the mantras then I would further suggest that you chant only the first two or three lines. Do let me know how you get on. Okay Thanks. |

Sarassin: This could be the result of several things not least a medical issue. Can you tell me what practice you are engaged in? I am attempting to quieten my thoughts as per your guidelines. I find the 4-2-4 breathing routine to be distracting. I have adopted the model I read in a book. Just breathing normally and watching your thoughts float by without participating in them. It appears to be working as the thoughts are reducing but I'm not there yet. Sometimes I also see images I cannot account for. I don't think it's a medical issue. |

What time passed? You were busy derailing your thread, attending to everyone's comment; now you just checked your time to realize time had passed? Seun asked you a question about converting to islam and it took you hours to address that particular question. I silently followed this thread, hoping to see something concrete but alas, just like we have all seen in this board over and over again, this is a total failure.
I guess you returned from church on sunday after speaking in tongue for hours and felt you could do all things including inviting seun for a challenge and making a decree which would come to pass. No after waking up from sleep, that 'auction' you got from church has disappeared and you have realized you are just as empty as a sounding cymbal.
We are waiting for your next 'auction', maybe after next sunday service. Don't mind the guy. He has enjoyed his 15 minutes. |

awesomeJ: I didn't claim to have an explanation for the Samuel story I only said the spirit that Saul saw might have been one from God or the devil which took on the form of Samuel, hence the reason why Saul saw it as Samuel and why the writer of that portion referred to him as Samuel. I am not making any claims on the accuracy of that thought though.
And even if it was really Samuel's spirit, that still wouldn't qualify as a reincarnation which he quoted me on. He also mentioned those whose rose at Christ's resurrection. For those folks, that was resurrection which we believe in as Christians. it's different from reincarnation, in that those folks literally rose from their tombs and walked around the places where they were known and buried in. Unlike the reincarnation stories most folks tell, where the tomb of the said dead remains unchanged and the reincarnated beings only appear to live another life in a place where no one knew them before their death. so try to see the difference.
By the way I only mention reincarnation to explain the fact that you shouldn't try twisting people's experience they narrate to you with funny explanations. This was unnecessary. In fact, your need to respond to every Tom, Dick, and Harry tells me you have nothing of substance. Stay on course. Your thread is five pages and nothing has been achieved. |

What they agree on binds them together more than whatever differences or disagreement(s) they might nurse that others think separates them from each other This is true for virtually all religions with sects/denominations. |

You're not just starting to learn, but you're learning pretty fast I dont mean that to be patronising, in any way, shape or form. It's just an observation
Well, it is all right, calling it "bulletproof and injury-proof skins" is something I can get used to, as opposed to "glorious clothing",
Reiterating, pain, in fact, was dormant and not active before the eating of the fruit Pain, death, adversity, the beautiful, the good, the bad and the ugly, the whole shebang, came in to effect, after the loss of the glorious clothing Oopsy daisy, you prefer "bulletproof and injury-proof skins", dont cha Just so we're on the same page. Adam and Eve did not have pain receptors. They had bulletproof bodies which they shed after eating the fruit upon which they immediately sprouted nociceptors right? Got it!!! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Animals That Feel Pains Of Birth, Did They Eat The Forbidden Apple Too? by TomHagen: 7:21pm On Feb 05, 2018 |
MuttleyLaff: Pain, in fact, was dormant and not active before eating of the fruit Pain, the whole shebang, came in to effect, after the loss of the glorious clothing Lol. We feel pain because of sensory receptors connected to the brain and spinal cord (nociceptors). Their function is to alert us to the presence of potentially damaging stimulus. There are cases of people who have their nociceptive receptors damaged and so cannot feel pain. What you are saying is that Adam and Eve did not have these receptors but developed them immediately after the first bite off the apple right? Or is it pawpaw that they ate? Either that or they had bulletproof and injury-proof skins which made it unnecessary for them to need pain receptors. So which was it? |

MuttleyLaff: It is excessively conceited, being absorbed in oneself and unbefitting conduct to remain in same position, when faced with stark reality
No. The state of things, as they actually exist, I reiterate, is that, everyone and everything shares the effect, result or outcome of the incident that occurred between the trio in the garden.
We feel pain differently, which is why, some faint, at a mere sight of a hypodermic syringe or needle, whilst some take same injection, without batting an eyelid and why, some undergo eye surgery needing the benefit of an anesthesia to induce temporary loss of sensation or awareness and some dont.
The punishment is the same for everyone
The ground, inarguably is accursed Whatever came out of the ground (i.e. animals) whatever is made off the ground (i.e. human beings) are subjected to the curse, in varying state of undergoing pain, distress or hardship
None is exempted from the original curse Are you saying all forms of pain are a result of the original curse? I ask because the pain threshold differences among people apply to all forms of pain and not birth pain alone. |
