Heyah na waoh oooooooooooooo TheGreenDay: The mayor of a city south of Mexico's capital was shot to death on Saturday, less than a day after taking office, officials said. Gunmen burst into the house of Mayor Gisela Mota in the city of Temixco and killed her, said the government of Morelos state, where Temixco is located. Two presumed assailants were killed and two others detained, said Morelos Gov. Graco Ramirez in the government statement. Officials attributed her killing to organized crime. Mota's leftist Democratic Revolution Party released a statement describing her as "a strong and brave woman who on taking office as mayor, declared that her fight against crime would be frontal and direct." Temixco, which has seen kidnappings and extortion linked to organized crime groups, is the seat of several state institutions including the Public Security Commission, which coordinates state and local police forces. Mota, who had been a federal congresswoman, was sworn into office on New Year's Day. She was killed the following day. Ramirez vowed there "would be no impunity" in her killing and promised that state officials would confront organized crime. Officials said that when the suspects were detained, authorities found a 9-millimeter gun, an Uzi, ski masks, and an SUV with Mexico State license plates. Morelos Attorney General Javier Perez Duron said the detained suspects have been tied to other crimes, but declined to provide more details.

Crime › Re: NNPC Depot CSO Hired Us To Vandalise Pipelines. by tomholly: 8:39am On Jan 04, 2016 |
Story, lies and cover up.. una too no get sense evesdon4u: Three suspected pipeline vandals arrested in Ilashe area of Ogun state last month by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Anti-Pipeline Vandalism Unit have confessed that they were hired by a Chief Security Officer at a depot in Mosimi area of Ogun state. The suspects ; Balogun Taiwo(37), Lukemon Adedigba (45) and Dayo Olanipekun (40) were alleged to have been returning from the creeks through Ilashe link , in two vehicles loaded with siphoned petroleum products belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation pipelines.
However, on sighting the operatives, said to have acted on tip off, the vandals scampered in different directions, abandoning the vehicles and containers loaded with petroleum product. It was gathered that while the operatives were towing the vehicles to their base , they were attacked by some armed vandals who opened fire . A reinforcement from the Special Anti Robbery Sqaud, SARS Ogijo, reportedly saved the situation from resulting into the apparent kidnap or killing of some of the policemen. At the end of the shoot -out , three suspects were arrested, with a double barrel riffle while the rest escaped. . During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed that they were allegedly hired by a CSO at the Mosimi depot (names withheld) . Police sources hinted that in order to ascertain their claim, a letter was written to the NNPC to release the said CSO for interrogation . Thereafter , a warrant of arrest was reportedly obtained from the court to effect the arrest of the CSO. Mild drama However, a mild drama unfolded when the operatives arrived MOSIMI depot to effect the arrest of the CSO, following alleged stiff resistance by some staff. Sources at the IGP Anti-Pipeline Vandalism Unit hinted that “ We went with the warrant of arrest and a search warrant to Mosimi depot. When a search was conducted at the CSO’s office, three locally made guns were recovered. When we tried to arrest him, one of the staff raised a fire alarm and all the workers assembled and barricaded all the roads, insisting that we would not take him away. One of the officers who tried to make the exit with the three recovered riffles was held hostage and dispossessed of the guns. The workers threatened to shut the station if he was taken away. To douse the situation, we allowed him to go. Till this moment, the Corporation is yet to release the CSO for investigation”. CSO’s appeal text to Police While the wait for the CSO lasted, he was said to have sent an appeal text message to one of the operatives of the Unit. Part of the text read “ Please, I beg you in the name of God ,to kindly tamper justice with mercy. I made a mistake . That will never happen again. Kindly help to bail me out of this. I am very sorry. God will grant you favour in all your endeavours…”. We were hired by CSO However during an interview with Crime Guard the suspects denied indulging in pipeline vandalisation. Rather , they claimed to have been hired by the CSO to carry out surveillance of the area which is used as an exit route through Arepo creeks by vandals. One of them, Balogun Taiwo , who hails from Sango Otta, Ogun State told Crime Guard that “ On November 22, 2015, I was sleeping in my apartment in Shagamu, when my phone rang. The caller was a friend named Semiu. He informed that the CSO Mosimi said we ( Lukemon, Dayo and I )should come over, that vandals were operating around the area. He said he needed us to arrest them . I woke up immediately and mounted my motorbike. I rode to a place where Dayo and Lukemon were waiting. We met Semiu at the entrance of the NNPC gate . The guards at the gate demanded to know what we were doing at that odd hour (1. 40am ) . As we were about to explain to them that the CSO sent for us, he (CSO) appeared and directed them to give Semiu keys to their patrol vehicle. We entered the vehicle and zoomed off , leaving my motorbike in the premises. On reaching Ilara road, we saw two vehicles and twookadas (motorcycles)approaching from the opposite direction.Suspecting they were vandals, Semiu intercepted the vehicles, shooting sporadically. This made the occupants to flee, abandoning the vehicles. We took the vehicles andokada.Semiu then called the CSO on the phone to inform him of the development. He asked us to remain there till dawn. While we were there , we saw another vehicle moving out of the bush . We gave them a hot pursuit which caused its occupants to flee. We discovered they had loaded their abandoned vehicles with jerricansfilled with petroleum products. Altercation At about 4am, we saw another vanagon bus leaving the bush , we chased it and the occupants fled as well. As we were about calling the CSO, Anti pipeline policemen arrived the scene. They identified us as those who opened fire on them earlier. They followed us with the recovered vehicles and exhibits to the depot. When the CSO came to meet us at the gate, he directed that the recovered vehicles and petroleum products be kept in the premises. But the Police said it should be taken to the station . This led to an altercation , in the process of which the police towed two of the vehicles away and arrested us. “We are not vandals. I have never been to the creeks before. This is the second time I am joining them for such surveillance. It was Semiu that invited me the first time. Semiu works for the CSO. He only contracted us to work for him . He has not even paid us . It was only Semiu that was armed. The rest of us were just with torch-lights”.

so President do tell lies .i dont believe it jare makzeze: Dear Editor, We read with dismay President Muhammadu Buhari’s interview with BBC’s Mansur Liman, which was published by your newspaper on December 27, 2015. In the interview PMB made us to believe that each States has a Permanent Secretary just as the Ministers in his cabinet. The truth of the matter is that currently Sokoto State does not have a Permanent Secretary. The last Federal Permanent Secretary from Sokoto State was Alhaji Bashir Sambo, who until his retirement was the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Transport. It is quite shocking when Buhari tried to make us believe that each state has a Federal Permanent Secretary. And that left us with so many unanswered questions: Who is not comfortable with Sokoto State having a Federal Permanent Secretary? Is it not in the Federal Character Act that each state should have a permanent secretary?
Does Buhari’s aides made him to sign and believed that each State should have a representation in the Federal appointment? Is Sokoto State paying for the sins of some of its citizens, despite the over 75% votes they gave to Buhari in the last election? Why is it that none of the media houses were able to at least investigate this injustice? While we keep searching for answers to these questions, one thing for sure is that if Buhari really believed that each state has a permanent secretary then he must be surrounded by saboteurs and deceitful persons, who will for sure lead to his downfall. God forbid!

APC PLEASE CONCENTRATE U PEOPLE ARE LOOSING FOCUS OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DONSMITH123: By Simon Ebegbulem
BENIN—All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State has described as laughable, the defence by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state that none of its governorship aspirants diverted rice meant for the state by the campaign organisation of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The party threatened to take evidence of the rice which indicated how the sticker of the aspirant was super-imposed on the sack of the 2KG rice while under it was the map of Nigeria with the inscription “Feed Nigeria Campaign 2015”, to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Presidency for probe.
Some leaders of the PDP, led by Okharedia Ihimekpen, had raised alarm last week, alleging that the governorship aspirant seized the rice meant for PDP members during Jonathan’s presidential campaign and shared it to his supporters this Christmas.
They urged the EFCC and the Presidency to probe the matter, adding that it was the same way that funds meant for the Jonathan’s election were siphoned in the state.
But the state PDP, through Mr Chris Nehikhare, described the allegation as untrue, insisting that none of its governorship aspirants diverted rice meant for Jonathan’s campaign in the state.
However, the APC in the state through its state Publicity Secretary, Godwin Erhahon, who displayed the rice to journalists, said the PDP members who were allegedly denied the rice brought the rice to him.
Displaying the rice to journalists, Erhahon said, “You can see that originally, what was written on the sack was Feed Nigeria Campaign 2015. But the aspirant super-imposed his campaign sticker on it. Can somebody who is running for governorship write ‘Feed Nigeria Campaign’ in the rice he wants to share to his supporters? No. Rather, it should have been feed Edo State.”

Politics › Re: Federal Government Officially Stops Payment Of Subsidy On Petrol by tomholly: 8:15am On Jan 04, 2016 |
We are waiting ooooooooooooooo mrofficial: The absence of the usual subsidy component in the latest Petroleum Products Pricing template from the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, has indicated the federal government’s decision to officially stopped paying subsidy on the premium motor spirit, PMS, better known as petrol.
The official pricing template for petrol by the PPPRA as of December 28, 2015 saw the Federal Government subsidising the product by N6.45 per litre when the Estimated Open Market Price, EOMP, at that time was N93.45. This was N6.45 higher than the then retail price of N87 per litre.
The EOMP is the summation of the landing cost of petrol and subtotal margins which include transporter’s cost, dealer’s charge, bridging fund, administrative charge, etc. This, to experts, makes EOMP the true cost of the product.
On the revised template, the EOMP set by the government agency that regulates the prices of petroleum products in the country is now N84.78 for NNPC fuel stations and N85.1 for stations run by other oil marketer companies.
Prior to the release of the revised template, the EOMP was usually higher than the retail/pump price of petrol at filling stations, with the federal government paying the difference between the retail price and the EOMP as subsidy to oil marketers.
With the new EOMP being lower than the retail price of N86.5 set by the Federal Government as what petrol should be sold nationwide, this means that Nigerians are paying an extra N1.4 for the commodity whenever they buy PMS at non-NNPC run petrol stations and N1.22 extra for every litre of petrol bought at NNPC-run filling stations.
Last Tuesday, the PPPRA had, after getting approval from the Federal Government, announced that retail fuel stations belonging to the NNPC would from Friday, January 1, 2016 sell petrol at N86 per litre, while other oil marketers would sell the commodity at N86.5 per litre.
It explained through its Executive Secretary, Mr. Farouk Ahmed, that the reduction in the price of the commodity was due to the implementation of the revised components of the petroleum products pricing template for PMS and Household Kerosene.

hmmmmmmmmmmm.watching in 3D Makweembo: After an eight month absence, Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua returned to his Lagos-based church, The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), on Sunday 3rd January 2016 with more prophetic revelations concerning Africa.
Speaking on the Nigerian political scene, Joshua declared that a minority party would soon rise to significance. “One of the minority parties will be lifted up and reckoned with,” he told congregants. “Let us pray for God’s love and unity in Nigeria.”
It would be recalled that Joshua allegedly predicted the rise of the current ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), in 2010.
Joshua further called for prayers for Nigeria’s new Agriculture Minister, Audu Ogbeh. “We have to pray for God to sustain him because much is expected from him,” Joshua declared, alluding to his earlier advice for the government to invest heavily in the agricultural sector.
The cleric also ‘prophesied’ extensively concerning Southern Africa and the challenges the region would face in 2016, particularly the farming industry.
“There will be little rain at the wrong time, which is not good for farming,” Joshua warned. “Many farmers will be discouraged,” he continued, calling on the government to build “dams and irrigation mechanism using available water from the sea.”
He further warned Southern African nations not to yield to any temptation to surrender their industries to foreign companies because of the challenges that would arise.
Speaking in his usual parabolic tone, Joshua called for prayers for the regional leaders as “the ending of February to April are very peculiar months in the Southern African sub-region.”
Joshua further gave a global warning concerning the volatile North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. “I am seeing an ‘arrow’ from there and it will affect the world,” he declared, adding that North Korea possessed weaponry that most countries were unaware of.
“The war we are fighting already in Syria is still there. We cannot afford another one again,” he stated, calling for those involved to embrace peace.
“There are going to be unusual, uncommon challenges this year 2016 but in challenges, we children of God flourish,” he added, encouraging congregants and viewers of his popular television station Emmanuel TV.
Followers of the Nigerian ‘Prophet’ were delighted to see his return to the pulpit, claiming his unusual prolonged absence was for ‘spiritual fortification’.
“Can you see that your pastor did not go on holiday,” Joshua jokingly told the crowd after he had moved in the midst of the huge congregation, ministering ‘deliverance’ and ‘prophecy’.
The service had over 3,000 foreigners in attendance, including those who had travelled from the Eastern European nations of Ukraine and Russia.
Joshua’s last public appearance at The SCOAN was in April 2015, shortly before his ‘Miracle Crusade’ in the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City which allegedly attracted over 150,000 attendees.

Politics › Re: Petition In Favour Of President Buhari Gathers Over 5000 Signatures In 24hours by tomholly: 8:05am On Jan 04, 2016 |
ok ooooo Andiebest: Petition written by supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari intends to counter a similar one circulating online calling for his resignation or impeachment for violating court orders has gathered approximately 5,434 signatures in less than 24hours as of the time of publication against 2,232 signatures gathered by the petition against him in 4days.
The petition in support of President Buhari, started on iPetitions by Audu Bukarti, states that “some political prostitutes and their clients have started an online petition calling on PMB to resign his office for their allegation that the president shown total lack of respect to Court Order when refused to release two high profile accused persons, Colonel Sambo Dasuki and the Biafran separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu.”
Mr. Bukarti continues, “this petition is a calculated attempt to demoralize our president and truncate his war against corruption in public offices.”
A December 31st petition written by Carol Ajie on Change.org, which calls for President Buhari’s resignation, has received approximately 2,224 supporters at the time of this publication. The petition argues that President Buhari has violated his oath of office because he has not discharged his duties faithfully and in accordance with the Constitution. The petition against President Buhari claims that “in holding Mr Kanu [detained by the Department of State Services] beyond the required period they have infracted on the Immigration Act, the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 and subsisting court orders.”
The Change.org petition asserts that “President Buhari [should] resign from office or face impeachment proceedings. Alternatively avoid another Burundi, call him to comply with the Orders of Courts.”
At the time of this publication the petition in support of President Buhari, which started on January 3rd 2016, has 5349 signatures
These dueling petitions are the latest form of online activism in Nigeria questioning the legitimacy and leadership of President Buhari. Online and social media have been critical of President Buhari’s treatment of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), who was unlawfully arrested by agents of the Department of State Services (DSS). President Buhari has also been widely criticized for his many trips to foreign countries and the massacre of Shiite Muslims by the military in Zaria, Kaduna State.
