@ tommee, I got admission with a study gap of about eight years. All you have to do is, show what you have been doing during those years. If its work, attach your offer letter to the application. Just prepare a good application. You will be admitted. Also choose a program related to what you are currently doing.

@tommee, check humber college, Conestoga and go through the DLIs on cic.gc.ca. There are so many colleges in Canada, check other provinces. Send mails to the department to determine eligibility before you apply for admission.
Also stop searching for only two years programs. PR will sort itself when you eventually get there.

Thanks alot i really appreciate this response i have always had the thought that a year program will always give you ample time to settle and really sort for jobs hence getting PR but do you know anyone who has gotten admission with a study gap of over 10yrs ?

I am 34yrs old this year and i am married and my wife is pregnant and she works with NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL COURT OF NIGERIA. MY Program in a PGD in business Sustainability. Why i applied for PGD is because my CGPA is bellow average for master, which i have stated in my SOP. i have some properties in the village (lands) but the lands have only agreement signed between the owner with his witnesses. I have a car, rented apartment in Abuja for N450k for a two bedroom flat. i have been working for 4years now, i have all the documents from my office apart from leave letter. I have my own registered company since last two years. Though the company has not started off. I have task clearance certificate for last year on it.
I have my immediate elder brother as my sponsor. he has paid for my school fees, he has given me two
different statement of account, with all his office documents. as a prove that he is working and can pay my bills. my wife gave me letter of consent also. there are no gap in my CV,as per what i have been doing since after graduation. What i read in my first degree is project management which is directly related to what i want to study now in my PGD. My sponsor works with an Oil company in Abu dhabi his office payslip has also been sent to me. Am I good to go?

Hello house please does anyone have information about selkirk college i applied online for pgd winter 2018 business administration and paid application fee with my atm and i got an instant mail saying selkirk college will contact me on my next step in the application process but its almost a week now and i have not gotten any mail from them
secondly am also willing to apply for North island college as a second option and the school says i have to go through an authorized agent in my country on contacting the agent his charges are 90k even after paying the application fee myself through my atm. please has anyone ever applied to these schools and have gotten admission ? please help a brother.

Hello guyz great work here i must say, after reading all comment and personal experience here i must say i have learnt a lot but i am still confused on the degree names diploma/advance diploma/certificate program/graduate certificate programe and post graduate diploma i am guessing the post graduate diploma is the best to apply for with my 4year degree in banking and finance with CGPA 2.85 and i also need clarification and difference between a post graduate diploma and graduate certificate programe. hi house i need help oo i have paid my tuition fees in full and my school resumes jan 24 2011 the problem is the money am xpecting for my maintainance fees which is pay off from my office, i just noticed it will paid twice cos i just i have received the first installment which is 700k and i was told the final one would be paid first week in jan.i know i might just have to wait for the next intake which is six month time but that is wat i am trying to avoid wat will i be doing at home for six months please i need help from whoever can loan me 900k or 1m just to sit in my account for the maintainance sake i have collateral of a house with c of o am also willing to pay back with interest.if u are God sent please contact muyen_4real@yahoo.com.thanks

Master card will be quicker but i don't know a particular bank in Nigerian that is more efficient.

@justwise u have been wondaful so far from d begining of the forum and i appreciate all ur responses so far coz have been able to learn and it has been useful to me so far,However pleaase i will like u to educate on how d money in the bank will be calculates my school is inside london which i have also paid 100% tution fees,i know i now require to have 7200p in my account for 28dys but what i want to know is what rate do they use coz from my own calculation dat should be 1800m naira,although i have more than that but i want to know the exact amount the 7200p will be cox i dont want to make mistakes.Thanks

Hi nairalanders plz i need ur advice on this process of travel to canada,there is a particular company advert in the news paper,d company is called belvic global which claims dat they help people who are work and live in canada they are based in opebi in ikeja lagos.The requirement is that u will pay 40,000naira for the application and processing in which will take up to 4 to 6 months after then when the visa is ready u will be required to pay 200,000naira b4 it would handed over to u and on getting to canada u they will secure u a job and they will start deducting from ur salary till it complete 1mill naira .they also said the package includes accomodation on arrival.plz does anybody know about this company,has anybody tried it with any of such companies plz i need advice the package seems very flexible and also sound too good to be true anybody in canada ,nigeria with xperience or details plz help a brother with sufficient details tanx

@justwise tank God u r online plz i need information about Ethame Graduate School Mba pragramme am planning to apply but on their website its say applicant should xpect a fone call after filling the application form which i think will be in form of an interview, i just want to no if u have any idea the likely question they will ask u on fone and also the likely document when they send u an conditional offer letter aside the 100 percent tuition fees required.lastly the difference btw an academic reference letter and an academic reference,and what the think about the school and the environment in general.and lastly what are the chances of Nigerians getting a job in the u.k after an mba programme especially when one attends a college or a graduate school like ethames that is affiliated to the university of sunderland. Well I don't know much about the school but this is just a piece of advise from me
Since the MBA programme is affiliated to the university of Sunderland, because it says on the website that at graduation you will be given a University of Sunderland certificate. I am of the opinion that you should just go to university of sunderland and do your programme there or another university that can be vouched for instead of going to these schools that are affiliates. The Ethames Graduate school may seem cheaper but I am very sure at the end of the day you will end up spending more money than if you had gone to a normal university instead. And as a foreign student, what is the essence of going overseas only to attend a graduate school that is an affiliate and not the main school. Well this is just my advice, you may still go ahead and do what you want to do but I guess you should consider more options and universities. cheers.
