Hello Gurus,

Please i got the below e-mail after 2months of waiting for my child dependent visa, i did not submit any financial document from lagos state government does anyone know how to respond to this. The financial document document submitted was from fidelity bank but fidelity was not mentioned in the email. please guyz i need your professional touch.


The UK Decision Making Centre is currently assessing the application submitted by the above named. We are unable to conclude the application at this time as we require additional information.
When considering an application we may decide to make verification checks of the evidence you have provided to help assess whether you meet the requirements of the route under which you are applying. Under Appendix Finance paragraph 2.1(a), we must be able to make satisfactory verification checks in order for the financial evidence to be considered.
We have tried to verify the financial documents you have provided from LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT, however have not received a response from them. If we are unable to verify the documents with LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT then I am unable to consider them towards you meeting the eligibility of Appendix Student. If you have alternative evidence that shows you meet the finance requirements, please submit it to the email address below within 10 working days. Any submitted evidence must meet the requirements set out in Appendix Finance and Appendix Student.
If we do not hear from you or from University of Derby within 10 working days, your application will be considered on the information available to us at that time. If you wish to submit any further evidence to: Sheffieldstudentteam.docrequestsInternal@fco.gov.uk quoting your application reference in the subject line. Please attach the document directly to the email as we are unable to access links to files hosted on sites such as Dropbox™ or Google Drive™. Please also include a translation of the document provided if it is not in English or Welsh.
Please note we are unable to receive emails and documents which are over 25mb in size. If your documents are over this limit, please send them over multiple emails to ensure we receive your documents.

I am not a lawyer but can see why this could be confusing to the ECO


This reads like an adoption order, it also seems like the application was made by a couple.

If that is the case, the child dependant will need the second parent to apply for a dependant visa also.

If this application was only done by a single parent then resubmit the document and along with a cover letter to explain the situation clearly

Thanks you very much I really appreciate you input. I actually thought about this too. The application was actually done by a single parent the (wife )and the husband was represented by a lawyer. It is a case of abandonment of responsibility from the man part and the woman needs to travel to the UK with the kids. Would you suggest we get a court stating the document is actually for sole responsibility to the applicant(wife) and not adoption or we get the court to edit the words on the document. @dduchess90 please your input is still much appreciated

it could be an oversight. I had this same issue where i was asked to send an official court document to show that my legal guardian has sole responsibility meanwhile the court document was uploaded during my application.
I had to resend the same court document and also did a cover letter. I hope the court document you uploaded isn’t an affidavit?

HELP!!!!! please does anyone has the format or can share a sole responsibility letter from the court. you need a court order stating you have SOLE responsibility/custodianship signed by a Judge to reapply for this child and not a cover letter.

@poster, i really dont no why your case is different bro, i have subscribed on the opera platform 3 times consecutively and i have had no regrets do far, i even got more than 250k clicks that they promised. the improvement in my business is very obvious. at a point i had to tell them to pause the advert because i was getting too much calls and i did not have enough stock to accommodate the demand. Hello people please what happens when the university rating was dropped to AL2 just days before applying for for visa? i chose the school because it was an AL1 school but the rating dropped to AL2 after i had gotten admission and had paid the tuition fee deposit. will the embassy treat my case as AL1 or AL2? the school in question is Uniersity of Wollogong. am really scared

Today is the happiest day of my life.... I got my visa grant today,I applied since March hoping I would get the grant early but God had other plans for me,I'm just happy that I'm leaving this country.
I applied on the 6th of March and did medicals the same day
Biometrics was on the 7th and got visa on the 3rd of July.
I just want to encourage everybody still hoping for their grant,dw it will come out when it's right and perfect for you. If start to talk about how I was always down thinking and hoping for the grant omo I no go leave here

I submitted my student visa application on the 23rd of May and front-loaded my sponsor's SOA with a balance of about 13.37m naira, I have also paid the required deposit of 8150AUD to Deakin for the CoE with my full tuition for one year being 32600 AUD. When I did all of my calculations, the amount that is needed in my sponsor's account was just under 12m naira. However, I am worried if the 13.37m will be enough considering I saw a case on this thread of someone getting denied because of the funds for the subsequent year of studies.

My sponsor in question has her company (she is the majority shareholder and sole signatory) fixed deposit account with about 32m naira. The fixed deposit has a maturity date of 19th of December 2019. I am now thinking that it might be worth attaching the fixed deposit slip and a letter showing she is the sole signatory to the account to the application on Monday. What do you guys think?

You were not required to submit financial statement. Deakin University is an AL1 assessment. But stay calm most likely they will overlook the statement submitted and concentrate on the required documents you submitted.

There is a different between studying master of finance and being a financial manager, the former is just a paper certificate while the latter is a profession. Have you ever being a financial manager with employment letter stating your roles and pay slips to back it up?

Thank for the clarification, i currently work in a finance dept of a telecoms company and i have over 7 years experience. However i am planing of changing course to something more sell-able on the PR list because i heard finance is more competitive for PR in aus even with my experience.
I would still appreciate your comments, suggestions and advise.

Victoria is a better place to live in than Sydney in my opinion. Sydney is overcrowded.

I need advise on which offer to accept, am in a dilemma between university of wollogong (i will be studying in sydney) and Deaking university. I was offered masters of finance in both shools am about make the deposit payment. Gurus please help.

This so true had same ish with my husband my agent advise we go seperate cause going together reduce my chance and dependent visa is 100% sure I refused and insisted we go together, we had to drop the agent along the line and apply on our own . We were granted getting here we heard stories of dependency refusals, if u have the opportunity pls go together.

I think applying with spouse and kid also depends on school rating not sure though, what school did you apply to? plus i need advice on how to continue my application with wife and kid, am yet to apply for visa but i had already filled in all school forms that am going alone. should i call the school and tell them about my change of plan before i apply for visa or i should just go ahead and pay OSHC for them and include them in the visa application.

Please I need advice on TRV application.

I have applied for TRV four times and all were denied. I applied through an agent thrice and once by myself.

So, last month I decided to write and know the reasons for the denial. I received the GCMS letter yesterday. Reasons for denial.
1. SOP was written in poor English
2. Letter of acceptance was used for application twice. ( note, after the second denial the school gave me grace for next admission, which the same letter of admission was sent to me and I used it to apply).

My concern is this, should I continue to apply? How many times should one stop applying after so many denials?

Please I need your genuine advice. Thank you.

In my own opinion i will advise u try other destinations for your studies, canada is not heaven. You have been denied 4 times thats enuf trial as far as am concerned there are so many countries as good as canada.To me applying a 5th time within a short period of time show despiracy. From your GCMS note it seems you got some basic thing wrong and you have probably repeated it 4 times. Please note that these people share information and other countries are already aware that you were denied 4 times. I see alot of advice already that you should re-try but think about the bigger picture. Even if you do your masters in china for instance you can still end up in canada for your PHD which will be easier by then. This is just my candid opinion and advise.

I was given a conditional admit at UOW and I summited the GTE form to help fulfill the condition for unconditional admission. I have sent my GTE for almost 2weeks now and I haven’t gotten any response from the sch. Is this normal?

Update... so my school has terminated my admission because of the visa refusal therefore I cannot re-apply for my visa. it is well. Please I want to know if it is adviseable to start applying to other schools, also when applying, do I say i have been denied visa before? Will it affect my chances of getting admission? 2. I didn't submit any letter of sponsorship. Only stated in the application who my sponsor was and that he will be responsible for all my expenses all through my stay in Aussie.
