Hi All,

I trust you great! This is to motivate an individual out there.

Profile:

So I recently got my approval. All thanks to God. Inputs from this platform cannot be underrated as well.

Medicals was done upfront Oct. 26th, 2018
Application was submitted Nov. 16th, 2018
Biometrics followed Nov 19th, 2018.
Approval popped in Dec. 14th, 2018.
School: RMIT (AL1 Institution)

So; I simply submitted all documents required using the evidentiary document checklist tool. *Nothing Extra* Please, see link below.
https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/web-evidentiary-tool

In all, please, take time out in writing a very catching GTE (Statement of Purpose/Intent). This I believe have a great impact on one's application. Watch out for grammatical errors, wrong usage of words and above all, make sure you express yourself in your statement. Your passion and motivation driving you must be felt by the case officer *you must be articulate about it*. Thanks to @Nogara on this this one. He gave his input on mine.

Great to be part of this family. Please, never hesitate to buzz up if you need any clarification on your application. I am still learning; but will sure try my best in giving response to the best of my knowledge.

Cheers!
How can i get cricos code for university of wollongong to access the checklist

Hi, fam,

Well, in my own opinion I believe you can study alone. Get the material, download videos from YouTube and take time to explore. I did the same when I wanted to sit for TOEFL. Thank God I excelled. I believe you can do the same. God help you.
Hi,

What is the toefl ideal score for australian universities?

How is everyone going? Who has questions; I can assist as much as I am sure of. If you are feeling stressed on the process; Verbalise it someone might have the information. If you need a sample of SOP; I can help with that as well. Ask questions, do not rely totally on your agents. They only care about commissions from affiliated schools.

I wish all expectants VISA GRANT!!!
@Amy3090,

Thanks for this post, i just got my unconditional offer from Victoria Univ melbourne and i really need the best way to answer questions in my background check

*Why do you wish to study in Australia? Please list reasons that helped you make your decision.
*Why did you choose Victoria University? Please list reasons that helped you make your decision.
*What other study destinations (countries and cities, and including your home country) and institutions have you investigated? Why did you not choose any of them?

Hello Fam,

Please i need your advice on this, am in the process of choosing a school to study masters as a management student and i have found this course Master in professional accounting from torrens university. My question is - has a graduate of Banking and finance and not accounting hope it is not a red flag? and secondly what are my chances of getting a study permit if i apply for a graduate certicate programme in same course to save cost
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by tommee: 10:23am On Sep 25, 2018
oobidike:
Torrens university take close to 9000 aud per semester but I heard most torrens applicants were refused recently, not too sure though. But u can hardly get 15000 per year as most schools charge 10k to 15k per semester. You can so it yourself if you have the time if not find another agent that is ready to assist. Denials for other countries isnt a criteria for your Visa
Thank you and God bless

@Jolanrewaju Thanks for your encouragement i will do just that, please can you recommend any school with 15k to 19k yearly for an MBA management student. I hope i am not asking for too much Thanks

It really depends. What didn't work for Client A may work for B. They check travel history and denial records from USA, Canada and some others but it doesn't mean u wud not get it. Just be positive. Its gonna come.
Thanks @oobidike for your response, i was thinking for it to come from an agent it means something has changed, however the agent is not willing to continue with my application because of the 2 refusal what will u advise?

Happy Easter to all. May the power of the resurrection life meant for our soul salvation, also trickle down affecting our visa process! I speak life to all that is dead in our lives and all that is alive but lingers on life support, I pray that God will resuscitate and perfect unto all good works. May the season be for soul searching on the meaning of the death and resurrection of Jesus; for forgiveness like he did and mending the fences in our relationship that is broken. In this forum and our real lives I pray!
Amen

jnyuwa02:
You are very correct, visa officers when they read application look out for elements of desperation and if they find one, can deny an application. Stay away from conveying high emotions in your SOP. Using words like "my great country Nigeria," "I love Nigeria" or any kind of begging that been offered admission in Canada is a great privilege that will change your life or anybody's life, is a giveaway. Stay neutral and convey only facts. Stay away from high emotions that show that going to Canada is a make or break. And this person asking if he tackled number 2, whether he would absolutely be given a visa, nobody can give that assurance. You can only do your best and hope for the best. The truth is you can submit everything and meet to all requirements and still be refused. The VOs are not easily predictable and enjoy considerable latitude in discretion. Best wishes!
@jnyuwa02

But truly Nigeria is a great country grin grin

It is what it is. The cut off for a masters in Canadian universities for Nigerian students, is a second class upper. Anyone lower than a second class upper is turned down or admitted on an exceptional circumstance consideration. The exceptional circumstance usually means you have more than 6 years working experience in the intended field of interest. Most student with lower than second class upper end up in PGD. But I have seen first class students too applying for PGD. Most of these first class who do that are either interested in the specialization and vocational training that PGD offers or have no idea what they are doing.

Please I'm sorry for derailing thread, not intentional though. I need urgent advice to enable me take a decision. Below is my question.

Please I need urgent advice on the subject above. I just received an email from Diamond bank asking me to report to their head quarter in Abuja for a 3weeks graduate trainee program prior to posting. From what i heard, their probation period last for six weeks, of which you be paid 80k and after you have been confirmed, you will received 240k as monthly salary.

Normally, I ought to be excited considering the fact that I have followed up with this job for the past two years and it has finally arrived and also my present job pays a little less than 100k monthly, which is enough incentive for me accept the offer but I'm not.
1
Why? I have plans of travelling to Canada with my wife and daughter hopefully by September, for a masters degree program with the aim of settling their afterwards. By God's grace we have been able to save some money for the trip and my tuition fees, and my wife is very passionate about leaving this country. She fears if I take up the banking job, I'll not have enough time to follow up with the travel arrangements and also we might tamper with our savings, in the course of relocation since we stay in Port Harcourt for which I agree.

Please guys what do you think, is 240k a month salary worth jeopardizing my travel plans? I have till tomorrow to reply the bank.

Note: I haven't secured admission yet.
Hi

Since you have not secured an admission not to talk of applying for TRV i will suggest u take the job continue with your travel plans to canada
Canadian study permit takes some time since you have not even secured your admission yet. You can save alot from 240k while you process to study permit.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by tommee: 9:55pm On Dec 10, 2017
jnyuwa02:
Yes, you can secure MSC admission with a low GPA, even a second class lower or no university degree at all. They call it special admissions at some schools. Requires at least 6 years of working experience in the field you desire to study in. That said, I think the way you can convince the VO that PGD/C is a valid option for you is to show that a masters is not available in your area of study or that the PGD you are going for is very specialized and will offer you the same job opportunity as a masters. VOs do not buy all these low GPA arguments as why you decided to go for a PGD. Because that only begs the question that if you were not able to do well in Nigeria, why do you think you would do well in Canada, a more difficult, complicated and academically more demanding setting? They just mark you down when you do the low GPA argument.
@jnyuwa02

The above is impressive this is the first time i think you are being optimistic about PGD/C please try and encourage people more about convincing the VO on pGD/C like the above against your usual discrimination. You are very active here and alot of people look for to your response on issues.
Thank you for selflessness and good heart
