The countries that introduced e-bike and e-cars perfected fuel and diesel usages first.

Those countries fully utilised 2G network before going for 3G, and fully utilised 3G before proceeding to 4G and 5G.

But Nigeria keeps jumping, claiming to catch up without perfecting or fully utilising anything. Nigeria that is still very far from perfecting electricity is going for e-bikes. The same Nigeria that is supposed to utilise crude oil.

With 3G, those countries were able to utilise surveillance cameras. Even with 5G, Nigerian banks can't easily verify NIN or passport. Those countries enjoyed good network coverages for calls with ordinary 2G. With 5G, Nigeria is still struggling to make clear phone calls.

We have been jumping technology without mastering any. That's why we will remain at the backwater of technology growth.
How was electricity generated in Nigeria before the construction of kainji dam and gas powered turbine?
Back to the topic. I am for the scheme if it will provide employment that will bring food to the table

Stop giving excuses. That was how David Mark told Abacha in the 90s that Nigeria is not yet ripe to use GSM and Abacha suspended it till Obasanjo brought it back in 2001.

We must stop delaying progress.

It was one step at a time. The ground work was ongoing before his death.Abacha would have introduced GSM if death did not come calling. He brought CDMA technology that preceded GSM,this ended Nitel monopoly. Multi link, intercellular were some of the private telecommunications companies in operation before Obasanjo GSM of 2001. Agreed,GSM is for the rich and poor

Still making useless excuses for your Zikist coupists.

Why did you refuse to mention how the Ibo dominated House in Enugu suppressed and dismissed all calls by the so-called minorities to leave the old eastern region ? You are acting as if it was only the eastern region that was free of clamour by minorities to leave and form their own region.

Fyi, the creation of Midwest region began in Ibadan and the motion for a plebescite for the people of Midwest was tabled by an Action Group Yoruba member of parliament. The Yorubas did not oppose the wishes of the minorities in the old Midwest to leave the western region. Even after the plebescite was concluded , it was another Yoruba man and member of the federal parliament that tabled the results and called for the federal House to ratify the creation of Midwest region.

Was this the case in Enugu ?

I dare say that the reason the Jan 15 coup was carried out was because the frustrated minorities in the them eastern region had taken their plight to the federal House in Lagos and secured the support of northern, western and Midwestern region parliamentarians to see to the creation of COR region.

To bolster this point, this is why Ojukwu declared Biafra after Gowon carved two states from the old eastern region that freed the minorities from the subjugation of Enugu.

You people like to lie too much.

I'm so grateful my brother. Seems my projection of 6.5 to 7m is in order. Let's pray 12 and 16mm rods don't go beyond the current price by October when I'll be ready. May God continue to lift you Sir.

Amen

God will prosper you abundantly

Trying to add more images but the network is somewhat glitchy here. I hope these two are just okay. Many thanks.

From the conversion sent to me by Engineer. My estimate in excess is 2 tonnes of iron, 90 bags of cement. I advise you rent woods and bamboo to save cost. Most of the bamboo and woods become waste if you don't have another project to use it for.You may need to engage an independent carpenter to inspect the work before decking, let him make adjustments where necessary.

Get quotations from 3-4 carpenters for the decking. to give idea of how to negotiate when you want to rent

Please,
Could you help me calculate how much iron rod, cement and planks the suspended floor (decking) of my duplex would take? I'm ready to send you the dimension. Many thanks.

No problem

carcass was 30-35m before tinubu came.its now about 80m to do carcass.u haven’t built lately or maybe u steal your materials.

It is a big fat lie! Except you are building on swamp or you engaged a contractor/engineer and don't bother to visit for monitoring. Don't discourage those who wants to directly engage artisans in building for them

Real estate is one business I am seriously involve for years. I am not a novice in construction. I have been buying building materials from November-December when prices of building materials started skyrocketing to this moment that it has stabilized.

Deck is where more money is committed in building carcass. The house in the pic has two floors.Check the size again and tell me the tonnes of iron rod you will use for each floor plus bags of cement. And what will it cost for the flat roof, wood inclusive

They have run you street if you spend 80 million for carcass of two storey building on half plot of land grin

Bro,

I bulit 40ft x 40 ft in Lekki from May 2023 to Mar 2024. Building alone I spent over 80M so I imagine how much it will cost to build now. When i started, cement was 4k per bag and was around 12k by early this year. Iron also went up from 450k per ton to 1M per ton. I did pile foundation amd that alone was between 15 - 18M, at the time. It is well with Naija.

Lekki not in consideration in the estimate. It was like the end of first quarter of this year that iron rod reduced to a million per tonne,it was higher from January.
We are not in a good time for building business

I will love to know the total number of rooms in it and see the interior designs too.
However, 50 or at most 55 million should give you something like this. I spent similar amount to erect something like this in my village for my beloved parents.

55M for what? Do you know that 1ton of iron is 1M? The exterior is good so I imagine matching interiors. 100M

The house in pic lengthĂ— breadth is like 70 by 25 feet at most
Each floor won't be more than 3 tonnes of iron
Let's say one tonne for all pillars and lintel
500 bags of cement for German floor, two floors, lintel and pillars. All these are in excess. 30 million will get the carcass plus the roofing.

Cost of finishing depends on taste

A typical nigerian girl is just too dependent and not calculative enough to take on life's challenges on their own. And especially on new terrains, u can expect them to lean on a guy or guys which will form some kind of relationship that guarantees steady lashing. Especially those cold and boring countries, now mixed with the uncertainty of getting kpali or breaching ur visa stay requirements.

I am an advocate of petroleum subsidy removal and ending Forex round tripping. But I now have a feeling of uncertainty after reading kperogi last article. Trans borders smuggling of petrol is almost non existence with the removal, but it has not translated to a better standard of life.
When we look at SAP introduction, naira devaluation and the dividends we were promised to expect,38 years after, more Nigerians now fall below the poverty line.
Not that I expect immediate success with Tinubu reforms. How are we sure it won't go the way of IBB SAP

Amosun is a greedy man. He won't touch anything that doesn't bring money into his pocket. How his tricks got the ogun people and they voted him twice remains a mystery. Even the few road construction he did, were substandard. Anyone in doubt should go to sango-ojuoore and inside ota axis. Those roads have been washed off by erosion. In a sane society, he'd be behind bars today. He didn't even complete the constriction work before he left.

This same man willfully chased dangote to lagos to build his refineries cos of his personal interest. That huge investment would have been cited in ogun today. That's a huge loss to the state but he doesn't care. Dr tejuosho ought to have returned to senate but he stopped him out of greed, after serving as a 2-term governor in the state.

My friend was in total disagreement when I mentioned the Akute-Ijoko with other roads and
bridges embarked on by Amosun won't be completed, and these projects were too massive for a state government to initiate at the same time. His greed is making living less meaningful to residence and those who ply the roads

Like a beautiful shapely Togolese woman who vended meals to us years back in my Abuja days.
Pleasant to the eyes, something about her would always tickle the mind because she was a bit educated and exposed.

That same thing would always kindle a fire in my loins each time I went to her to eat because, despite all she'd seen and been through, she exuded this innocent industrious type girl with an easy charm that slayed you into wanting to make her yours whilst wondering why anyone in they right mind would let go of her.

With 5 kids by 3 men, Mabel's baggage was quite much and her first daughter was 15 crossing to 16 already blessed with her Mom's infrastructure and sneaking out to guys' dens for overnight tutorials too.

When you hear the issues causing her abandonment by her 3 Nigerian baby-daddies too, you'll conclude that either some seem wired to fall apart completely after they make one mistake from which bouncing back is hard OR they don't just have the luck of their sincere simple minds paying them off positively.

I'm not the superstitious type. Only thing I can say is relationship is also to be subjected to the serious seeking strategic self advantage. Never play yourself. Didn't use one mistake to correct another. Once bitten, get forever wise. Only fools fall in love, always walk into everything and anything you're doing thinking 3 steps ahead and with your 2 eyes open like Mr.Krabs of SpongeBob SquarePants. And finally, Never Lose Guard, ever!

Maybe it's their innocence or luck,I wonder why good ladies (even men) find themselves in this situation
