They were successful in hijacking Nigeria when it was a young nation.Nigeria is now a crawling adult, and those men still have good grips on power and won't leave the center stage for ambitious young adventurers

Allow independent candidates without affiliation to any political party to also contest. This creates platform for genuine stakeholders that are oriented towards their communities development to be elected

Blessed Nigerian from the tribe of Yoruba kingdom, this is the reason I won't malign all yorubas for the foolishness of 40% of the them, of which 30% of the 40% are ignorant idiotic muslims and 7% are confused and not aligned to any religion, and 3% are christians. I also curse 30% of Igbos who support the criminality in Nigeria and the 70% of northern muslim, they are senseless.

What I noticed is that yorubas are impulsive, that is they are reactive based on the stimuli triggering them at the instant, they are everywhere and nowhere, they are like babies that you need to nurture and cuddle with breast milk and pamper, it is what you give them they give back, it is why we Misunderstand them as being cowards, they read what you mean at the literal level.

Okay imagine, Soyinka that went to prison because of Biafra, imagine his behaviour now, that is to give you the picture of what I am sayng.

You'll see some idiots that have no knowledge Engr301 that is engineering Mathematics having epilepsy and remember I had a D in stat 201 which is let my people go. ..

I totally understand you bro. Several times I have given up on Nigeria but when ever I step outside, seeing people begging and doing odd jobs to survive especially the aged ones, it breaks my heart. I can't stomach it, anything I can do at this point I'll do it bro. I hate to see people suffer honestly. If I was wealthy I know how many people I would have helped by now but with the lil I earn , I can only help few people. So if there's a way even if it leads to my death, I'll do it just to make sure Nigeria gets better .

I like you already, but I want you to live a long happy life. I felt the way you are feeling now until certain events calmed me. Many have died unsung and unremembered for laying their lives for the betterment of this country.Their deaths only changed leadership not the overhauling of the corrupt system

I am a veteran of several protests and one of the beneficiaries of IBB state pardon for incarcerated SAP rioters of May 9,1989. My advice is to focus on how to live a decent life without waiting on government. And continue to help those that genuinely needs help

Mtchwww if only the North joined us during the end sars protests, we won't be where we are at the moment but they chose to remain silent and now things have become worse for everyone.

It's the Igbos who want to make same mistake now, they want to abstain from the protest like we becoming divided as a nation will be of any good to anyone.

I'm yoruba and I participated in the end sars protests, tho I have said I won't join any protests after my brother managed to escape at the lekki toll gate that night, but I'm a Nigerian and I'll do anything or join any movement geared towards the betterment of my country.
No tribe can do it alone be it hausa , igbo or yoruba. None of us can liberate or rescue Nigeria alone. We need to stay united now more than ever. The government have so much confidence in carrying out corruption activities now than ever why? Because they have successfully divided the youths into 3 groups Arewa, Ronu gangs and the Obidient gangs which I belong to.
But regardless I'll do what needs to be done which is fight for my country.

Do you think Nigeria is worth dying for? When asked this question,I thought Late Elsie Olusola was unpatriotic when she replied she only wanted to live for Nigeria. Now,I know better

Our people need to start investing and developing their own land, most of the houses in this picture are eyesore, Humans living in these kind of houses will probably have issue with important things like Clean water and Toilet, we need to start telling ourselves some difficult truth..

up till today people are building a bed sitter kind of houses (FACE me I FACE you) in some of the south west state where up to 10 people are sharing a Toilet, in contrast to this, all new buildings that i have seen in the South South (particularly Edo/Delta) are either self contained or Flats, almost all the Houses have Borehole also..

Go to our Villages and you probably won't find a Befitting house there, but Villages in other part of the Country including Edo state spots different beautiful Edifice, if you doubt me please travel to Villages in Edo state to confirm.

these Old dilapidated Houses is nothing to be proud of, they should be phased out gradually and should be eradicated in the long run.

Ps. Ibadan also have one of the best Buildings I have seen in Nigeria, but we need to do more please.

Most of the houses you see in the picture are people ancestral homes. Generations from those homes have moved on to build modern houses elsewhere. See those buildings as temporary shelters for better future

That’s the sad situation we’ve been in ever since 1960 that we took over the mantle.

It’s still better then but now the population explosion and dependence on oil don turn scatter everything more.

I looked at Nigerian budget and looked at NY police budget alone and I shake my head because Nigeria is like a very poor country living like a rich person.

Our politicians are stealing that small money we are making, then use it to portray some rich mindset, and Nigerians run off with the notion that “We are rich”.

Citizens are not even left out acting rich. Sustaining this act, some even stay in rented apartments that cost more than their monthly food bills

Politics / Re: Please LAGOS Should Take Care Of The Environment by tommy589(m): 9:28pm On Jul 15
babasolution:
It is the least LAGOS can do,the environment is extremely dirty, there are a lot of homeless people on the streets, sleeping on the bare floor, lots of diseased peoples and mentally ill folks.

The state is in such bad shape especially the mainland, yet within this mainland there are enclaves of highbrow clean spaces and areas.

This discriminatory process is not convenient for everyone.

LAGOS needs to find a cheap way of cleaning the environment effectively without charging people much( as most lagosians live from hand to mouth).

The current early morning sweepers system is not working, it's not helping.

The major cause of the environment problem is the street sellers,Lagos as to find a way of dealing with Street sellers.

The state is a huge dump,a big mess

Sometimes, I wonder why the Yorubas are so jealous for LAGOS

Nigeria as a whole is terribly run and as been over the years.

If not every state should have ECONOMIC activities, and Lagos should be decongested

I guess you are new to Lagos grin

You should ask older folks how Lagos was decades ago

Why only 3 to 4 hour limit? The spirit should have made you an unquenchable prayer house running in perpetuity.

Sometimes I wonder why today's Christianity in Nigeria is different from what we were raised to know. I wanted to say joblessness brought this about, but I realize some at workplaces like offices, markets, just everywhere conduct prayers as if God requires their appeasement every second
