Agriculture / Re: Archeobotanical Studies Show Sorghum, Wheat, Cotton Grew In Ife Around 1200 A.D by tommy589(m): 12:13pm On Jun 27
casualobserver:

In just 40 years Lake Chad has almost dried up.

Clearly you still remain daft and lack critical thinking abilities. Stop posting like an uneducated ignoramus.

If wheat cannot grow in humid environments, if Ife is currently considered humid and wheat once grew extensively in Ife, then it stands to reason that the climatic conditions in Ife were conducive for wheat (i.e not humid) at some point in the past.

BTW 5000yrs ago was 3000 BC. What does an ignoramus like you know about weather conditions 5000 yrs ago. Do you know London was once sunny?

As far back as I can remember, countries that borders lake Chad were informed to combat the drying up of the lake but chose to do nothing. Many communities that depended on the lake for farming, fishing and livestock's have dissapeared from the face of the earth due to government unwillingness

One thing is sure, Tinubu is here to revolutionize things for the best, man's intention is second to none

If after reading this news, you still have a negative comment to give on this topic, then your affinity for negativity is worrisome and you may have to see a psychologist for mind cleansing

Good initiative. It is going to be helpful if service providers and consumers have a different platform to seek justice

Gradually, enmity is creeping in the trajectory of Northern politics.

Meaning; their unity isn't as strong as it use to be in the past, and what this means is that indirectly, the South might overtake the North in terms of power.

Military created unity and power. People that dare not totally submit to their emirs are now scaring them with bombs and guns.

Every citizens deserves fair treatment

Lol....38m is actually nothing again...so, 62k minimum wage is what exactly? Honestly, the rate of poverty is extremely high. But the funny thing is that these poor people are giving birth like rabbits. Lol. Honestly, anyone from 30 years and above should carry his cross without Nigeria. If you wait for Nigeria, you are dead. Tap into the world economy, start earning dollars, and live at large in Naija.

Go for skills that can earn you dollars. Start today.

Less I forget, start gardening so you can live long. 70% of my posts are on this issue. Produce grass-fed meat, eggs, and milk. Eat organic veggies grown without fertilizer and pesticides. Eat more tubers and fewer grains. Engage in weight training and walk a lot. Leave your car at home at times and walk.

You will live happiness and joyfully regardless of what is happening in Nigeria if you work towards this. If you start today, you can achieve it all before the end of Tinubu's first tenure. You will just be smiling when everyone starts hustling during the next presidential election. Guess what? You will see the stupidity in humans running after food and money just for the period of the election....and then...you will even laugh more during his second term (if he gets another term) the way those who sold their votes go hungry. Trust me... it is a 4-year cycle that repeats itself. Free yourself today.

I hope those waiting for changes in Nigeria to read this and make use of your wisdom. I stopped expecting dividends of good governance a long time ago

Family / Re: Is 700k Per Month Too Small? by tommy589(m): 3:10pm On Jun 18
ruffhandu:
Hello people,
Please I need some advice.
We live in PH, and have 4 kids. The oldest is 10 while the youngest is 6. I give my wife 700k every month, and this includes general upkeep and maintenace and fuelling of our car (Lexus 330). I don't drive the car (I dey leg, while she uses it to run around, which includes school runs and her business).

I no dey chuk eye for her business. Bu I am getting frustrated as she still makes me believe that the money is not enough. I pay electricity bill (band A) and house rent (3m pa) yet every now and then she puts bills on my head. It is driving me crazy.

When I tell her to list out her expenses so I plan with her, she picks offence. I am really tired of the whole thing and don't know how else to approach the issue without causing too much problem. I know some men whose salaries are 250k-300k in PH, yet they are surviving.

You don dey build house? Continue if it this way you were brought up

I actually don't see Nigerians struggling atal. This Ileya festival paints the picture. If u see how people rush rams. The same rams being sold at exorbitant prices of average 150 to 200k. I began to wonder how the same people complaining of hunger can afford to buy 150k ram for salah. Infact almost every muslim household bought ram for salah in the South west. So where's the hardship. Same thing will happen in Christmas. I bought 40k goat for Christmas last year despite the hardship. Il still buy this year no matter the hardship. So wat?

I'm now 100% sure that there will be nothing like revolution in Nigeria. We will just keep complaining and ranting online, and adapt to reality undecided

There is no basis for revolution in Nigeria. Factors that made it work in other places is absent here

ScotHarvath:
I have been noticing this things for the past couple of months. She even said recently in a fight that I disgust her and she hated me, I wanted to call for a separation after hearing such strong words but she pleaded and I acquiesced.

We have two kids.

Yesterday which was Father’s Day, she woke up at 10 o clock, before she did, I had slept the house and prepared breakfast because I felt she needed to rest.

I went out to with my friends around 6pm and came back around 10pm and asked her to help make toast for dinner and she boldly told me to go the kitchen and make it myself.

I really blame myself for this situation now, I made myself to accessible to all. I barely keep friends. So I made her my best friend, tell her everything about my finances and all. I treat her as an equal.

Is it wrong to treat a Nigerian woman well this days?

Everybody is advising me to get a side chick but I’m not that kind of man, I’m not sneaky or crafty enough to maintain two relationships.

I have been told to stop spending time with her at home but I’m an introvert, I don’t like frolicking with other people unless it’s absolutely necessary and besides I work from home.

I have also been advised to treat her like a stranger in her house and not talk to her for days but once again I don’t want that kind of life. I feel truly trapped.

As an introvert you must have other things like TV that keeps you indoors. Make sure you create space, look for a cozy place to spend time away from home watching TV and enjoy other form of entertainment. She's taken advantage of your love, knowing you have no interest in outdoors fun or extra marital affairs.

While it virtually died in Nigeria,I was shocked to see Mr.Biggs booming in Ghana and Liberia.
I'm still wondering if it was exported for good.

The last time I visited one was 2007 in Accra,I can't remember the location. This outlet was dead only waiting for the undertaker. No electricity so AC was out of it, two very scrawny chicken laps and few dried meat pies on display. The young people we saw there were sitting in groups reading books and not buying anything. We made our way back to the exit after getting a good view
