When you go through this long list and notice how just a few South South people made the list, you understand that Nigeria is a country that doesn't care about fairness, justice and equity. You just grab whatever you can and run with it - like our president taught us. 😂😂😂😂

Mom is not a grammarian, she's just teaching you what you refused to learn from teachers daddy and mummy paid for for YOUR school teachers. You can call her names but these little things will save you for life. You start asking why you don't have jobs when you don't know how to conduct yourself and have conversations with people. Not everyone is in your generation and those who hold the economy for now are her agemates.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Can Zelenskyy Accomplish What Napoleon Failed To Do In Russia? by tommy589(m): 2:44pm On Aug 14
Russian Winter, sometimes personified as "General Frost"[1] or "General Winter",[2] is an aspect of the climate of Russia that has contributed to military failures of several invasions of Russia and the Soviet Union. Mud is a related contributing factor that impairs military maneuvering in Russia and elsewhere, and is sometimes personified as "General Mud".[3][4] Russians call those muddy conditions rasputitsa, which occur with autumnal rains and spring thaws in Russia and make transport over unimproved roads difficult"

Hitler failed in Stalingrad. Many others including Napoleon also failed. Russia always consume invaders

argument has been that we black Africans lack the detailed exposure, mental capacity, integrity and objective mind to preside over the affairs of such huge geographical contraption made up of people with diverse socio-political and cultural backgrounds

Since he personally lacks the above, why should anyone take anything he says seriously?

This is the same black Africans that had Empires bigger than Nigeria. We should not blame those that sees nothing good in blacks when an elder is saying this

From your story...

Your brother was stopped at about 10pm on his way from work.

Can you explain why the pictures you presented as evidence was taken during day.(daylight)?

Can you also explain why the transaction was carried out at 2pm or thearabouts...which is the time the transaction was carried out from the receipt, when your brother was allegedly stopped at 10pm and you said he was forced, cajoled or persuaded to make the transfer as at the time he was stopped?

Why is there a 16hour gap?

Pls I am curious!

He did not imagine the North as a competitor. Awolowo understood the differences and was just looking out for his people

“Nigeria is not a nation. It is a mere geographical expression. There are no ‘Nigerians’ in the same sense as there are ‘English,’ ‘Welsh,’ or ‘French,’ The word ‘Nigeria’ is a mere distinctive appellation to distinguish those who live within the boundaries of Nigeria and those who do not” - Chief Obafemi Awolowo, 1947

I wonder why paint with the same brush. The influence of the first and second child most times affect the remaining children. Do I need to stereotype after witnessing where an all male children in a family became armed robbers.

Food sufficiency is the goal of every country. Nigeria is in crisis mode now and needs short, medium and long term solutions. The Naira is on very shaky grounds can still fall to N3000 within the next few years if structural changes aren’t made.
The time for trial and error has passed. The federal government has tried many programs which have mostly failed. This is simply my opinion.

Government has to stay off granting loans directly to farmers and SMEs. Those foreign loans company, offline and online, operating in Nigeria for years are not running at a loss or bankrupt yet. Government needs to work with them in providing templates on how to make it work. Government may even provide the funding and tell them what to set as interest.

Anything that has to do with Nigerian government giving out money or managing money won't ever work. Where are all the government owned commercial banks today

Tianamen1:

the government can defend the naira by raising tariffs and taxes on non-essentials such as imported cars, building materials and ready-made clothes and then reducing taxes on food imports. This should reduce imports and strengthen the Naira.

Imported cars (mint or tokunbo)including bend down select clothes are essentials. We can not do without them.
Manufacturing outfits that should have ended importation of certain items are no more, when they can not compete with cheap imported products. All the textile factories that get supplied by cotton farmers are dead. This applies to tobacco farmers and manufacturers too

Our focus should be on food production not importation. We are not helping naira with food importation.I do tell people if we are at war are we not going to manage and survive. We survived COVID.

Let the government adopt an agricultural loan program like the student loan. It won't be the direct cash to cooperatives or to individual that's ridden with corruption.
For accountability, this loan should only be accessible from accredited providers at the point of buying fertilisers, pesticide, hiring of equipments and other stuffs needed for farming. Let it be LGA and private partnership program funded by Federal government.

EponObi:

See how Baba Iyabo dey talk like say the rot and mess we are experiencing today didn't start with him.

He's talking about Nigeria putting all her eggs in one basket. Lol. What did he do to diversify our economy as a military head of state and the first and a two-term president after 1999? The man even pushed a third term agenda.

Didn't everyone of them since 1960 abandon agriculture and chase after oil money?

"I believe we made a very, very deadly mistake" - No sir, I believe YOU made a very, very deadly mistake.

When you invited Shell and they told you about the corruption ruining our refineries, sir, what did you do with the power given to you by the people to crush the cabal and rot in our oil industry? You were president for 8 years, what did you do to put the interest of the people as priority? What efforts did you make to change the trajectory of the NNPC for the benefit of the common Nigerians?

What was OBJ's stride in our gas sector? What policies and reforms did he introduce to the gas industry? What were his implementations? Didn't he flare our gas too?

OBJ is saying shit, with all due respect. This is the person some idiots are rallying around because the man they hate so much became president.

Tinubu's bad policies implementions aside, at least for the first time since 1960, we have a brave president who has the political will, muscle, and clout to repurpose our economy. And if he and the APC had allowed GEJ the weakling remove the subsidy in 2011, we would have moved past this pain - Tinubu has a share of this blame too.

There's no going back from here, inshallah. The economy must be rejigged, no matter how pain and strenuous the process may be. History will remember Tinubu for not taking the easy route of padding our economy.

Edit: Some idiots are quoting me to say trash. The truth is bitter, so deal with it. Some were saying shit about good economy under OBJ. Lol, even a retard could run our economy like he did because of the oil boom. Go and check how much Nigeria earned with crude oil sales between 1999 and 2006. Then compare with next successive governments.

The crazy oil money during that time was one of the reason they all abandoned other critical areas of the economy for oil. They took the easy way and we are suffering it today. They didn't foresee that the oil mania will end, or perhaps, they saw but didn't care because they knew they won't be the ones to deal with the problem. Nigerians just don't think, that's the issue. So far any 10 IQ president can subsidize their PMS and dollars, they think all is well and won't give a f*uck about their own future or that of the next generation.

All you want is government handouts in the form subsidies then you later cry that the country is retrogressing in economic and infrastructural development. One idiot even asked me to mention one third world country that isn't subsidizing their citizens. Oponu, must Nigeria remain a third world country for life, even after 60 years since independence? This is the kind of imbeciles that sell all they have and secure loans to japa to sane countries where nothing is free. Ode!

The country using 96% of our revenue to service loan; shouldn't that be a concern for any right thinking citizen? Instead of asking past governments how and why we got to this point, the average Nigeria won't so far you give them subsidies as if they are orphans. And before you say dogshit, OBJ didn't have to borrow because of massive oil revenue. We started borrowing after the oil boom was over. And mind you, we shouldn't have borrowed to the extent where almost all our revenue is used to service loans if OBJ diversified our economy from the start with the massive influx of income Nigeria earned during his time. He should have been the person to lay our economic blueprint and like I've said, he took the easy route and avoided the hard work.

What happens to your business when 100% of the money you make per month is used to repay loans and the situation is even worse that you are still sourcing for more loans to make your business stay afloat? If you can't answer that, keep shut whenever the Nigeria economy is being discussed.

Zero agriculture, terrible gas economy, no other economy sector, zero manufacturing + production just subsidies, vibes and inshallah plus crazy level of importation, and you, OBJ, is now complaining that our youths are redundant. Thunder fire you, sir.

Obj the luckiest president grin Every time he comes on board he makes so much petrol dollars without putting it into good use

While Buhari own is to come with his bad luck
