Politics / Re: Tinubu Restores Funding For 13 Health Regulators by toni68: 5:08am On Jan 18
Deeeepandholy:
What do these health regulators do with the multiple dues they collect from members ?

The government should also approve Nigeria association of psychologists

You just come and type nonsense... Are regulatory agencies professional bodies?
Politics / Re: FG Excludes 26 Professional Bodies From 2024 Budgetary Allocations by toni68: 4:52pm On Jan 03
lokoloko84:
you don't know what you are talking about.
Do you know the roles these professional bodies play in Nigeria.
Take PCN for example, that body regulate pharmacy schools, the number of students to be admitted in pharmacy schools, license of pharmacists after graduation with yearly fees to continue to practice legally. This body also license pharmaceutical companies, community pharmacies, drug distribution, control and sales of drugs and consumables generally. These are just a few roles, it plays
Mind you the number of persons working in this council is not even enough to work effectively.
What will the council do? Increase fees across board to work effectively with the pharmacists having greater control of their profession.
Let me see how the government will direct NMA on the type of lecturers who will work in medical schools or the number of students to be admitted yearly in these schools.
Expect high costs of medical services in this country in the next few years.
I can't really say much about other sectors involved.
The Government mixed up regulatory with Professional bodies to deceive Nigerians and claim they saved 27 billion Naira in the new budget...... To be sincere how many government agencies can self fund themselves and carry out their core mandate? Very fews, Akabueze has been on this matter for year as if the Regulatory Agencies are a threat to his life. Look at the media blitz that covered the story with him smiling. He has succeed in compromising the core values of these regulatory agencies..... To set standards for health care for Nigerians.

And he has thrown hundreds of families into peril in the name of self funding by removing Agencies from Federal budget. This government is callous. Meanwhile funds have deployed to frivolous projects like this one.
Politics / Re: Tinubu Certificate Scandal: Constitutional Implications By Aisha Mohammed Agashi by toni68: 11:29pm On Oct 07, 2023
You are trying to be clever but by half!

Also, we need no stick to the facts here and not mere emotions......

Tinubu did attend CSU.
Tinubu sworn under oath that his certificates including his A levels were destroyed in a fire incidence.
CSU do not issue certificates twice to students
A lost certificate can be replaced by a third party vendor

The next step is for Atiku to verify if the submitted certificate was actually issued to Tinubu by a third party vendor......

To me, Atiku should ditch the case of certificate forgery because following the these facts, he has no case.

But the major achilles heel in this Tinubu saga is how he got admitted to CSU in the first place

He used A levels to gain admission into CSU and these A levels has descripancies

Atiku should investigate these demographic discrepancies in the A levels .....

and if it shows that the A levels belong to another person, his admission into CSU can be nullified and his certificate rescinded......

Then, Tinubu would have failed to meet the minimum requirement of WASC for the position of Nigerian president which will invalidate his presidency.....

But i believe if Tinubu can be triumphant in this case.....Atiku is finished in Nigeria[/quote]

babaolofin:
President Buhari should reinstate Daura back on his return from UK. Daura & the police acted in the best interest of President Buhari. The election that brought Saraki & Ekweremadu was a robbery on democracy. Few days ago, Falana wrote government that constitution requires 2/3rd members of the total senators to impeach Senate President which implies that the same condition must be met to elect Senate President. What happened in 2015 was a violation of this constitutional requirement.

The DSS & the police may act on an intelligence information to prevent unconstitutional use of legislative power to work against the President while on vacation

I gather there is already 68 signatures gotten by Omo Agege for this impeachment process.

I commens the Vice President for giving this directive (if indeed he was the one).

He is a lawyer and understands the constitutional implication and also knows that the leader of the senate must come
from the majority party and Saraki cannot be allowed to breach the law by remaining the senate leader while being in the minority now.

Good.move
you come here to spew nonsense and exhibit your ignorance.FYI the presidency of the senate is apolitical.A single apga member in the senate can be the President if other members elect him.

I believe the President and subsequent ones have learnt there lesson. Don't ever allow senators to pick their leaders by themself, don't allow neutrality in the Senate else, they frustrate your effort for their personal gain.

For the open minded, I decided to open this thread.
President Buhari has received lots of criticism over the current challenges of the country. In all fairness, the man has genuine interest in turning for the better fortunes of this country, but some people who may still be bitter by the loss of their hero, sees nothing good in anything PMB is doing or has done so far.

I decided to create this topic to actually verify if Nigeria was indeed better under Jonathan than it is now, under PMB.
Power sector is the first to examine

Under GEJ January to April, 2015

Under PMB

Causes of drop in power supply under GEJ

Causes of drop in supply under PMB

Its very clear from the foregoing that the magic that GEJ couldn't perform from May 2010 to May 2015, its not easy for buhari to do same within 11 months
