Nairaland / General / Free For All Gun Battle In Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State(photo) by Tonway(m): 6:55pm On Mar 01, 2018
IKOT EKPENE CRIES OUT TO THE AFRICAN UNION AND THE UNITED NATIONS, AS CULTISTS UNLEASHED MAYHEM.

Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state, the first local government area in Nigeria and British West African colony has now completely degenerate into a lawless region, and as such, should be declared a fail zone. This should prompt the African Union and the United Nation to come in immediately with humanitarian aid in order to save the good people of the city, as hunger prevails. Romance / Reasons Most Ladies Would Remain Single And Not Marrried For So Long(photos)! by Tonway(m): 9:28am On Feb 15, 2018
Trust me I’m not going to pretend or lie to you just because I know my pastor may see this post or one of those “monitoring spirits’ members of my church might tell him of my position on this issue and he might conclude that I have “backslided”, I would tell you the truth out of experience because “We too have the mind of Christ” and we can taste everything.
You see my weakness is that I love Big Black Women (BBW aka Miss Endowed). Recently, having remained celibate for over a year since my fiancée travelled to the US for her curse, I decided to change brakes and bring a lady home. I brought in this matured beautiful lady, with fully concentrated mammalian glands just the way I love them, sensuous backside that can prompt, even the Pop to renege on his oath of celibacy, everything were just standing in ‘awe’ and in adoration of its maker, living me to wonder “why such a beautiful lady could still be single till now! Politics / No; Not That Fulani Man, Not That Hausa, No, Not Thone! Yes That One! (photo) by Tonway(m): 6:03pm On Feb 04, 2018
These people are the real enemies, not that Herdsmen or that Hausa man that’s just like you, struggling to egg out his own survival. If they had done what they were supposed to do, developing and expanding on what they took over from the colonial masters, we wouldn’t have had this present challenges we are facing today. What I’m inferring here is that, we should look beyond our current challenges and start looking at what our problems are, where they all started from and who our real enemies are. Our real enemies are our leaders, who refused to do the needful over the years. These include Buhari and everyone that has ever mounted our leadership seat and saddled with the responsibility of moving our country forward but failed. These people are the real herdsmen that we should direct our pains and grievances toward, not those seven Fulani travellers, nor are they those Northern settlers in our respective communities or those in their own respective states. Sports / Chelsea 0: 3 Bournemouth, Conte’s Football Suicide Continue by Tonway(m): 7:58am On Feb 01, 2018
Antonio Conte, the Italian, Chelsea Coach last few hours ago continue with his football suicide and decision blunders which started coming to noticed in the beginning of the season, when he dropped one of the most prolific and worlds’ most deadly strikers in football, Diego Costa for Morata. Yes Costa could sometimes be so annoying and could sometimes appear blank with no clue of what to do with the ball when he’s face to face before defenders, but the man is a poacher, and poaching he really knows how to do and he always delivers, the man is a striker. Where’s it ever done for crying out loud! Whoever does that in football?http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2018/01/chelsea-0-3-bournemouth-contes-football.html?m=1

I know you're thinking,... “what’s it that I want to accuse my pastor of than the usual “pastor don chop money and 10% tithe controversy”!” mmmm! Mbanuunu!

A church in my area started their tarry or vigil night since yesterday around inside the 9’ o clock hour and up till now as I’m doing this text, 10 minutes after 6, my friend who’d heard of the ability of the new man of God on the block, who can predict accurate winning coupon and lotto numbers, including white paper from his girlfriend who’s a chorister in the church has been chatting me since around 5am, letting me know how the man of God is taking too much time, repeating stuffs he’d already said, and making them feel they’ll be disobeying God if they leave before the Holy Spirit leaves.

Politics / 6, 500 International Worship Centre, Logic, Fallacies And Reasoning! by Tonway(m): 4:53pm On Jan 23, 2018
Recently, anything that has to do with church and men of God has come under severe attack and criticism in Nigeria, no thanks to the convener of the Free TheSheeple movement and leader of the FreeNation, OAP, Ifedapo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze’s audacity to speak out and bring to the fore the antics of some so call “men of God”, who were regarded before now as god. But after said and done, after all the criticism, logical, emotional and all kinds of arguments, including psychological, political and whatever else anyone has to throw into the mix, what remained and would remain constant is that nothing can change God and no mortal’s argument can change what God wants and expects of us, which is to strife to please him, even when we don’t seem to know what he expects of us. And at the long run, it is His (God) will that would prevail, whichever way it comes through. Fore morehttp://friendsofnija..com.ng/2018/01/6-500-international-worship-centre.html?m=1

Nairaland / General / Ten Reasons Why Nigerian Police Is The Best In Africa. by Tonway(m): 10:28am On Nov 24, 2017
The Nigeria police is currently making frantic efforts to convinced the world that they are not the worse as proscribed by World Internal Security and Police Index International, WISPI. And with these ten (10) reasons, the debate whether they are the best or worse would be put to rest.

1. THE NIGERIAN POLICE AUTOMATICALLY BECOME A CRASH PROOF ONCE HE WEARS THE UNIFORM AND CARRIES THE GUN: An average Nigerian police man is the best in standing on the road once he is wearing that uniform and carrying the gun, without minding whether an upcoming vehicle could loose break. This I think they believes makes them invincible and the best in Africa, against the worse tag that they have been tagged the by WISPI.

2. THE NIGERIAN POLICE IS THE BEST, AS THEY HAVE SUCCESFULLY DECIEVED THE GOVERNMENT, COUNTRY AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT BAIL IS FREE, BUT COLLECT AS MUCH JUST TO BAIL. The slogan that bail is free is not only misleading and a lie, but a successfully conn man tactic, which can only be pull by a very, top and best conn man. That to me makes them the best and they know they are.

3. THE NIGERIAN POLICE IS THE BEST IN FRAMMING, CREATING AND MANUFACTURING PROBLEMS FOR THE PUBLICE THEY ARE SURPPOSED TO PROTECT, JUST TO EXTORT MONEY THEY NEVER REMITTE TO GOVERNMENT. who can do that, if not the best in Africa?

4. THE NIGERIAN POLICE ARE THE BEST IN MAKING SO MUCHONEY ILLEGALLY ASIDE WHAT THEY AEE BEING PAID. This to me is an ingenuity and a fit that can be accomplished only by the best, an innovative way of heeding the admonition to have alternative stream of income

Nairaland / General / Disco! They Are Going To Be Talking To My Lawyer, And I Advice You Do Same! Phot by Tonway(m): 5:16pm On Mar 17, 2016
But having had it up to ‘here’ with this evil electricity stealing, ‘sorry’ billing and bulling me to pay or cut me off in an economic reality brought about by a regime that since she came to power to change things for us as we voted, she has only succeeded in changing our socio-economic condition from bad to worse, I have decided to sue. I am pressing charges against DISCO for the violation of my economic right and forcefully collecting my money without delivering on the bargain. I am also suing the government for, despite the fact that they have admitted to failing Nigerians in the supply of electricity, they allowed DISCO to raise the billing even unto over 500% on the citizens, even unto this month. I am going to be seeking redress. And I advise you do too. More details here.http://friendsofnija..com/2016/03/disco-they-are-going-to-be-talking-to.html?m=1

Politics / Why We Can’t Stop People From Talking Rubbish ------ Akwa Ibom’s Commissioner. by Tonway(m): 11:06am On Mar 05, 2016
FREEDOM OF SPEACH, AKWA IBOM STATE’S COMMISSIONER DEMANDS RESPONSIBILITY.

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umana has cautioned against the abuse of the freedom of information and speech right as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution and guaranteed by our democracy.

Speaking in an EBN’s “SITUATION ROOM” PERSONALITY TV PROGRAMME earlier during the week in Uyo, Mr. Umana who was also the spoke man to the Akpabio’s administration, informed your Naijafriendly platform that Akwa Ibom State has over a hundred and twenty community newspaper publications in the state, a record higher than every other state in the country, indicating that Governor Udom Emmanuel is a law abiding citizen, running a law abiding government and would not tele-guide or infringed on the people’s freedom of information and expression rights. The commissioner however, advised people involve in newspaper publication in the state and elsewhere across the country to be responsible and not allowed themselves to be used as an instrument of propaganda and lies by the forth columnist. Nairaland / General / Jumoke The Bread Seller And Corporate Hypocrisy by Tonway(m): 10:00pm On Feb 22, 2016
Dr Reuben Abati devoted his intellectual energy and time to arrive at the beautiful caption, “Jumoke the bread seller, the Nigerian Cinderella story”. The former Special adviser to former President, Dr Goddluck Ebelle Jonathan, (GEJ) even spend more time to lavished more praise on the Photography wizardry and the ingenuity of TY Bello, artist, Entrepreneur, mother and wife.

In fact, Dr Abati and many other sophisticated writers and journalists in the country, who like our corporate organisations, who wouldn’t lift a finger if there’s nothing in for them, but are now running neck over heels, like vultures that have found a carcass, exhausted enough ink and vocabularies to tell and re-enact this beautiful story of our time.

Ever since the breaking out of this bread seller trend, I have heard many motivational speakers and Life Coaches retold and analysed the event of the grass to grace story around their coinage to attract attention to whatever they are doing. A certain construction company has offered her a fully furnished luxury apartment, Stanbic IBTC made her one of their products ambassador (Payporte) and many other goodwill that though, one is happy for a fellow ‘wailing’ citizen in this hard economic times getting a respite, and wouldn't mind such fortune replicating itself on one, one is also quick to point at the hypocrisy of corporate organisations and all these big and successful people that had gone ahead in their chosen field of profession, and can lift a finger to make a different in several people’s lives around them like TY Bello and Jumoke, but won’t. Nairaland / General / The End Is Here, Cancell Your Plans. (photo ) by Tonway(m): 7:36pm On Feb 21, 2016
If you are the type that makes plans beyond the moment, even into ten years ahead and more, you might want to reconsider, or perhaps cancel out and instead, start thinking of life after here, after reading the predictions of what is to befall the world in 2016 and beyond, by this mystic blind woman, Baba Vanga, who passed away in 1996 at the age of 85yrs.

The prophetess, whose hundreds of predictions over the years has recorded 85 percent success rate, earning her the title of the ‘Nostradamus from Balkans’ had prior in 1950s predicted the melting of the polar ice caps and climate change. She was also reputed to predicting the 2004, boxing day tsunami.

Politics / People’s Democratic Party (pdp), A Ship Doomed For Destruction by Tonway(m): 2:21pm On Feb 18, 2016
How stupid, blind and dumb can a group of people be? This people think we are still in the dark era of military regime, where anything can be forced down the throats of the people by a group of selfish ones. They refused to realise that the social media, trends and the demands of the time has thrown open a new frontier where citizens can accurately analyse actions and inactions of individuals, group of people or an organisation, and at such form an opinion that would informed their actions and perceptions toward the subject matter. Politics / Budget Padding, Why Nigerians Should Be Happy! by Tonway(m): 3:07pm On Feb 14, 2016
Even if PMB hasn’t succeeded in reversing the dollar to one Naira as he promised during his campaign which we all knew he can’t, we should all be happy that Liar Mohammed, the guy at the Health ministry, Iseac Adewole and others are disowning their budgets. Ameachi, Fayemi, Fash and the rest are behaving, Ricky Tarfa is being prosecuted, a judge jailed in Bauchi, Tompolo seized to be a government, Metu in handcuffs and Dezienyi, former NIMASA boss, Aleru and others on wheelchair.

Now tell me how can they fight? Before now a soldier used to live by the hour and for the day. You would hear them said often “Na one bullet na im go kill man!” They don’t used to save or make plans or any of such things. All they were interested was to have sex and procreate more children, believing and accepting that they might die any moment soon. That was when the military used to be the pride of the nation. But today when an Army General would steal some whopping cool billions and more, that means the man isn’t in anyway ready to fucking die soon, thus the reason he would sabotage the country he swore to protect with his life and aid politicians to to destroy it. Before u get time to get a message on ur TV or internet, they already caught the vibes..especially when u understand that many radio stations in Nigeria lack originality... They either copied news from BBC or CNN...now, what do u think abt hearing it first and clear?

There have so many opportunities av missed since I stopped listening to radio decades ago... Just cos I prefer to play music, browse or watch the TV...

When my time gives me information abt an opportunity, they are either diluted, no more available or no clear enuff...

Politics / Why The North Would Continue To Lead! Photo by Tonway(m): 8:36am On Jan 30, 2016
The North would turn on their radio, which most of the time would be programmed at what they want them to hear. And here, they would hear that Nnamdi Kanu wants to divide Nigeria, PDP shared the money, Tompolo has become a Government, Jonathan did not procure the arm for soldiers to prosecute the war on terror, or still did not supervised Rambo to deliver, an indictment and failure of leadership to our South-south people. The South would continue in their entitlement seeking, immediate gratification chasing, lacking in fidelity, accountability, indiscipline, civility and incompetence, and of course they would remain in their mediocrity. The Igbos like their South-South counterparts is practically not ready for this race to lead. They are selfishly stealing what they can steal once opportunity beacon and the rest soiling their souls, all in the quest to have money and they are not interested in their larger society. They expect to get everything they want with the Biafra civil war as their blackmail tool. David Mark, Akume, Suswan, Bokola Saraki, TY Danjuma, Jangolova, Dariye and others from the Middle Belt simply don’t know what is expected of them as leaders. The Yorubas, they are the people that actually fostered on us this paper qualification affliction, but with legacies from Pa Awolowo which any onward thinking people can use to build a civilised state, they remain the centre of civilisation for a country that is not moving forward. This is the trademark of my country. For further reading, http://friendsofnija..com/2016/01/why-north-would-continue-to-lead-632.html?m=1

WITH INFORMATION, THE NORTH WOULD ALWAYS LEAD AND THE YORUBAS FOLLOW, THE IGBOS WOULD GO AFTER THEIR MONEY, THE SOUTH-SOUTH THEIR LAWLESSNESS AND MEDIOCRITY, while the North Central of Middle Belt WOULD BE BURIED IN THEIR VISIONLESNESS TO CHART A COURSE AND PROVIDE LEADING FOR THE COUNTRY!

Politics / Why Akwa Ibom Should Not Allow Umana! by Tonway(m): 12:08pm On Jan 27, 2016
Don Etiebet, former governor of old Cross River state, Ime Umana, Umana Okon Umana, Christopher Ekpeyong, former deputy governor and the rest that had been opportune to represent us at one time or the order at different capacity are part of the past that could have influenced growth and development to our land and people if they so wished and desired. But instead, they choose not, they rather choose their limited mind set of false competition of competing locally, building houses that surpasses every other house in their home town, forgetting that the more they do for their people and their land collectively expands their capacity to play nationally to their improved benefits. And we must collectively for posterity sake without sentiment block their likes and offspring from henceforth finding themselves to the corridor of power! Why Jonathan should be arrested and our Professors banished!

During the weekend, Dr. Reuben Abati, former Media Spoke Man to former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele, Jonathan, whose regime is said to be the most corrupt in the country’s history, in his piece on Weekend’s Guardian, laments the absence of intellectuals and their inputs in the affairs of the country, which some thinkers should drop it as its hot and asked “What has been the benefits of the ones that had been, which he argued used to exist then?” Has it not been their system and results that produced the likes of former Presidents, Late Alhaji Musa Yar’ Ardua, and Dr. Ebele Goodluck Jonathan, Michael Aondoaka, James Onefe Ibori, Dimeji Bankole, Femi Otedola, Jim Ovia, Cecelia Ibru, Erastus Akingbola, Farouk Lawal, Maina, Senate president, Dr. Abubakar Saraki, Ekweremadu, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Ameachi, and all the others across the country, readily aided by an equally corrupt Judges, Lawyers and judiciary system, whom common sense have failed long ago, as they ended up fostering “corruption” emblem on the country. Politics / Nigerian Soldiers Cry Out "Save Us Before Our Leaders Kill Us" by Tonway(m): 3:42pm On Jan 16, 2016
A ‘save our soul’ cry has gone out to the presidency, the Nigerian people, civil society organisations, human right groups and of course to the United Nation from 3,000 Nigerian soldiers for what they term as a deliberate orchestrated plan by the army leadership to victimised them. Despite the decision and order from the president for the soldiers, who were earlier dismissed to be pardoned and reabsorbed into the service because of the unclear circumstances surrounding their predicaments, reports from the soldiers indicate that they are being subjected to untold inhumane treatment and daily abuse of their rights by the evicting of some of their wards from their respective base, starvation, and going without salaries for several months.

It would be recalled that last week, there were reports of 3,000 dismissed and reabsorbed soldiers who decided to go on hunger strike, and to refused being redeployed to the troubled North-east because they were not being posted back to their units. Describing the report as abomination, The Defence Head Quarter, DHQ, through the Director of Defence Information, DDI, Brig-Gen. Rabe Abubakar in a statement last Monday, as quoted from THISDAYLIVE newspaper, Jan. 11, 2016 rubbished the report, and ascribed it to the handiwork of mischief makers from online reporters. In his word, “There is no iota of truth at all in the story” the Defence spoke man concluded. More here

Politics / Udom Vs Umana! This Is What A Grassroot Youth Leader Have To Say by Tonway(m): 8:43am On Jan 09, 2016
Comrade Udeme Auquo Ukpong is not your regular Nigerian youth, who only swing toward where it’s raining. Yes ambitious, but rational, objective, and principled.

Having cut his teeth in politics and student activism in his days as a student in the University of Calabar, where he held several positions and executed the trust with responsibility and fidelity, he now thinks and talks of being the next executive chairman of Uyo local government area.

In a close chat with your http://friendsofnija..com/ platform, the soft spoken and articulate activist turn-politician bears his mind on the politics of Akwa Ibom state, the governor, and the much talked about and anticipated re-run as a member of the vibrant Akwa Ibom state youth forum, where he says have a social contract with Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Advising the youth and the people of Akwa Ibom state, he counselled them to reject the propaganda that the opposition is brandishing, saying he has been and know the state long enough to know those that are interested in seeing and are putting in place programmes and machineries that would guaranty the departure from the status quo of mere electioneering rhetoric. He revealed Udom’s passion and plans for the youth, which he said is to empower them through training, skills acquisitions and a set up and mentoring plan to help them stand on their feet instead running after politicians for a handout, and of course, the plan and steps already taken to industrialise the state despite the distraction.

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, like a child that has been so pushed to the wall, who now resolved to fight back, or perhaps he has learned a lesson or two from his predecessor, or from the grand master of Nigerian politics, talking of none other than the Jagaband, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu himself, whose understanding is that “there is limit to how much blows and attacks a man can take or allow, without hitting back and strong, if he wants to remain relevant with the voting public in this “dog eat dog, and foes become your friend” game called politicking in Nigeria.
