Finance Financial institutions in Ik should do their work, for without the people’s money you would be jobless and Ikot Ekpene people are not less a people than their fellow compatriots living in Lagos, Abuja, PH, Kano and every other place. Uduote Ekpo Uko (Staff Reporter) To say that we are our own problem in this country is merely but stating the obvious, in a country where everyone uses the slightest opportunity or privileged position they found themselves to oppressed others, as witnessed with almost everyone in this country, from the politicians, civil servants, security operatives, and everyone behaving as it pleases them without fear of God, regulatory agencies/bodies looking the other way, feigning as all is well and only bearing the name (regulatory agency), we can only but hope that one day, a truly discipline government that truly understand the concept of government and care for the people would come on board and insists that sectors or service providers carried out their services, to which purpose they exist, to the people. Despite the giant stride made by the government of Akwa Ibom state and some private individuals in providing infrastructure to give Ikot Ekpene, the oldest LGA in Nigeria the status she deserved as a metropolitan city, financial institutions and security operatives in the city continue to undermine her. Apart from GT bank that is not in Ik, as the city of Ikot Ekpene is commonly called, all the other financial institutions exists in the city, but the routine service they provide can only be best confound to the refuse dung, as personnel of these financial institutions only goes around with air of importance as if they are doing the people a favour, doing their work. Yesterday evening, the 1st working day of the week I decided to go and get some of my own money from the automatic teller machine, (ATM), I got to Diamond bank on Aba road first; with over five ATMs operated by the bank, only one was working, with a massive queue. The only one ATM working, only worked for, may be just one hour or less and then shot down for the day, a Monday. We now all migrated like colonies of birds to Zenith bank, still on Aba road. On getting to Zenith bank, one staff of the bank was busy feeling as if he is saving the world, doing his own work, which he gets paid for. We waited and wasted over two hours, as the Igbo guy ....for complete reading, click..http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2019/04/the-terribly-smelling-service-banks.html

Ikot Ekpene also have a mini Stadium, which sometimes host the Nigerian Amateur and premier league games, it is also the venue where Senator Godswil Obot Akpabio decamped from his former party, the PDP, to his new party, the APC, with over thirty two (32) Senators of the Federal Republic, over forty (40) members of the House of Representative, Nigerian Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Nigerian Jagaban, Boss Mustapher, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the dancing Oshiomole, other ministers and the who is who of the country in attendance to witnessed. Not too long ago, the city also played host to Vice President (Pro) Yemi Osinbajo, who was in the city’s markets, Urua Mbakara and Urua Otou, respectively, to flagged off his “Traders’ money” campaign in the state, where he empowered poor traders with Ten Thousand naira (N10, 000) each. I want to believe that was the first time, those government’s personalities and officials ever stepped their foots in the country’s first LGA, Ikot Ekpene, and I bet most of them would want to returned again, as it is one beauty of a settlement....... APR 7 "Pray for me, my Girl Friend Got Me into this Mess”, Man Who Killed Two Children on Allegation of Witch Craft sent in Prayer Request. Trouble of any kind or any irrational undertakings are only known when and where they are started, but nobody knowns where and what they could snowballs to. If people could have a grasped of where any kind of trouble could lead to, they would always learned to avoid them. Maryama Ijabani (Staff Writer) Uyime, the Atan Ikot Abia Idem, Ikot Ekpene man that tricked his two children to Akankpa, Cross River state two years ago, only to poisoned them to death on suspicions that they are witches, has succeeded in smuggling out a letter from the prison cell, pleading that his community people and the church should pray for him, even as he laid the blame solely on his girl friend. It should be remembered that a man that goes by the name Uyime, who was in his late twenties as of the time of the crime, two years ago, from Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom was in the news, when the men of the Nigerian police force, Akamkpa division, from Cross River state stormed Atan Ikot Abia Idem, a community in the oldest local government area in Nigeria, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state to arrest him, after he dumped his two children in a “supposed” unknown place, after poisoning and living them to die. Though the children did not die without granting the statement that gave the men of the Nigerian police the lead that led to the arrest of their murderer, who incidentally turned to be their father, who is currently serving life term in a prison in Cross River state, it has also been confirmed that, the man did what he did, as a result of the constant instigation of the woman he was seeing as a girl friend, after separating with the dead children’s mother, as she informed him that his children ...for complete reading, click...http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2019/04/pray-for-me-my-girl-friend-got-me-into.html |
SPONSORED We at Conscientious Annang People’s Assembly have watched with keen interest the unfolding of the 2019 general elections, and having also carefully considered the facts and intrigues that played out in determining the result, we plead with HE, Senator Godswil Obot Akpabio, to in the light of the following facts, call off his challenge of the result at the tribunal, as this would open further avenues for people who cannot matched his record of attainment and accomplishment to wax their mouths and pour invectives on him. (Conscientious Annang People Assembly) .1. That the people really wanted and would have happily elected Senator Godswil Akpabio to represents them at the red chamber of the National Assembly, but for the shady, greed and ineffective execution of the election by his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), in the state. Eg. i) We have engaged, interrogated and listened to old and uneducated women who thought they voted for “BROTHER GODDY”, casting their votes for the umbrella, without knowing that the Umbrella doesn’t symbolized “ABRO CODY” anymore. And with the simple fact that a particular team members choose to sabotage the performance of their team would not in any way make the umpire to cancel the matched. ii That our elections in Nigeria is a highly monetized one, and with the PDP paying so much money to the electorates, prior and during the elections more than the APC, the result only shows clearly who wins, as it would automatically be for the highest bidder. iii) That the APC did not do any work, canvassing for votes as the PDP did. iv) That the leadership of the APC in the state, more especially in the local government’s level undermined the chances of the party by their greed and their beliefs of what determine electoral result. v) That there was a ganged up, not only from the opposition party, the PDP, but there was also a grandeur ganged up, even from within the APC to thwart the chances of the former governor and Senator. 2. The APC talked their selves into a corner. It is actually only the APC in Akwa Ibom state that want to go to steal in someone’s house, and are telling you all in to-to how, when, why and, even the types of arm they would be coming with and how and when they are going to shot. EG. i) It was a common and an open knowledge in Akwa Ibom state among the APC members, even among their Media team, even lawyers to bragged openly that they control the security, INEC and every major players of the electoral system, and as such, everything had already been concluded. ii) They vindictively bragged that, “The same pattern AKISEC, ie, the Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission and the security used in dicing the 2017 LG election, would be the same pattern INEC and the security would used in dicing the 2019 general election, since INEC and the security are controlled by the federal. 3. That Buhari allowed rigging in some states of the federation, eg Kano, Lagos, Kaduna, etc, and did not allowed in Akwa Ibom 4. Considering the quantum of work the PDP put in, APC did not measure up. 5. The Umpire is not corporative, and as such, it would be difficult to win against an umpire that had already, from the unset shown you that he is not ready to cooperate with you. It is like a teacher taking your report to the school Principal. National embarrassment Mr. Ekong, who had watched helplessly as his boss, Senator Godswil Obot Akpabio, the Senator representing Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district of Akwa Ibom state at the red chamber and former governor became a target of fake news peddlers in the state, prior and during the recently concluded general election, couldn’t take it anymore, as he slide to the comment section of the said post on the facebook timeline of the fake news peddler to reply thus, Toney Etido (Senior Staff Writer) The Media Aid to Senator Godwil Obot Akpabio, Mr. Anietie Ekong, in what looks as “haven taken enough” of the flagrant abuse of privileges, disregard to media ethics and infringements on the rights of others, as characterized in Akwa Ibom state, most especially among PDP hired social media hands, took on a social media user, Jerryz Edoho, who posted a disparaging post on his timeline against his boss, with the caption “I WILL WIN AT APPEAL IF TRIBUNAL JUDGES REFUSE TO PERFORM - AKPABIO ...SAYS APPEAL COURT PRESIDENT IN HIS PALMS”, a post insinuating that Senator Akpabio was heard boasting that he would reclaimed back his mandate at the Supreme court, if the tribunal refuses to grant him his prayer, as he has the supreme court judges at his disposal to do his biddings. Though Mr. Ekong did not let us know if they would explore the option of the court nor lodge a libelous complain with the police against the libelous tirade of Mr. Jasreal Idoho, who had already received several cautions and knocks from the comments on his sensational, unprofessional and immature post, but didn’t minced no word, as he called out the poster, and reminded him of previous incident of this nature that landed him in trouble with the police, if not for him, (Anietie Ekong) that stood in for him and signed his bailed and freedom bond! Jerryz in his latest unprofessional, immature and foolish undertakings had posted the following assertions against Senator Akpabio, which elucidated his media aid, Anietie s reprimand. “The defeated former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio is back to his devious and boastful ways, assuring that with or without the tribunal in his favour he already has the judgment of the Court of Appeal. Exclusive information made available to our reporter has it that Akpabio is using fake photographs purported to represent violent situations in the State in order to have the venue of the Election Tribunal moved from Uyo, the State Capital to Abuja. The fake pictures are said to have been manufactured by his devious cohorts and have found their way to the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. The embattled senator is also reported to be boastful that he will singlehandedly influence the outcome of judgment when the case gets to the Court of Appeal. “I have already received the assurance from the husband of the President of the Court of Appeal, my dear brother and our party-the APC Senator-Elect for Bauchi North Senatorial District, Alhaji Adamu Bulkachuwa that he will prevail on the wife, Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa to change the tribunal members and ensure that only those who are sympathetic to the APC will be made members of the tribunal. "As I speak, I have the names of those who would be made members of the tribunal and the President has approved of it”, Akpabio was said to have bragged to several people. In their reactions, some people in Ikot Ekpene senatorial district wondered why Akpabio has failed to realize that he was rejected and beaten fair and square. They also queried why Akpabio is unaware that the people of Akwa Ibom State have made their choice and the choice was done at the polls that were adjudged to be the freest and most credible and transparent election ever conducted in the State. "Why is Akpabio playing with the destiny and the will of Akwa Ibom people, when the people have spoken and made their choices known as to those they prefer to lea... for complete reading, click...http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2019/04/false-news-peddling-akpabios-media-aid.html |
Death comes to all without announcement, but when it comes painfully as this one, man is left to ponder on the essence of his existence on earth. What Winners Chapel Church is Doing Right and Why Every Church in Nigeria Should Emulate Her. RELIGION. Luke 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! Toney Etido (Senior Staff Writer) I’m aware of the argument out there that if one is offended by the offenses emanating from church to the extent of quitting church, then that person didn’t come to church for the purpose he or she should had come in the first place. Well, in as much as I agree a thousand times with that valid argument, but I also want to draw the operators and managers of churches’ attention to the above quoted scripture. Some Churches today which was supposed to be a place of worship has since become a place of offenses to the point of disenfranchising many without recourse to people’s feelings. How do you explained a situation where a Church announced three hours of service as the case may be and on getting there, one person would just pick the microphone and be forming super star, saying irrelevant stuffs and massaging his or her ego and wasting armful of time, and when it’s time for the church to close he would tell you “as the Holy Spirit leads”? Is the Holy Spirit of God an author of confusion? Absolutely not! How again do you explained the situation where one went to Church with the intention of giving a certain amount as offering, and on getting to the church you would see the operators calling for all manners of offerings which was not announced before hand, which usually embarrassed people and sometimes they even labeled those who didn’t obliged them as stingy, and sometimes blackmailing and threatening them with all manners of damnation as witnessed recently at the Adoration Assembly of Father Mbaka and PDP Vice President flag bearer, Mr. Peter Obi?.....for complete reading, click...http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2019/01/what-winners-chapel-church-is-doing.html |
MAR 24 How Buhari Cost Many APC Candidates Their Chances In The Recently Inconclusive General Election POLITICS Though the APC would be retaining eighteen states, as against the PDP’s seventeen, but to say that the ruling party, the APC with their arrays of stars and brilliancies, would experience the kind of rejection in the country, as witnessed in the results of the recently inconclusive general election, one would have begged to think otherwise, it could been worse, if not for the obvious “perceived fowl play” in states like Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, and some other states like that across the country, Buhari and his APC would have ended up with a much more bloody nose and perhaps, a returned to the role the Nigerian public believes they are good at, “Opposition” Maryama Ijabani (Staff Writer) To further understand “what a bad omen and toxic a plaque, PMB and his All Progressive Congress, once the people’s toast and hope prior to the 2015 general election have become in just less than four years, you would have to look at people who would have on a good day stood a chance of doing well in their former parties or other parties in the election, only to lose out woefully and shamefully just for identifying with the APC,...for complete reading, click...http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2019/03/how-buhari-cost-many-apc-candidates.html

FriendsofNaija 8 hrs · MAR 23 How HIV/AIDS Destroyed over One Million Nigerians within One Year and the solution at last. Health With such alarming figures of casualties, it is thereby, justifiable to conclude that the disease have succeeded in quietly eliminating more people, than in any war situation, where atomic bomb and other deadly weapons are being used. Maryama Jabani That the Nigeria Aids Indicator and Impact survey (NAIIS) have released the latest position of the country on the HIV/AIDS epidemic with the cheering news that suggests that the number of carriers of the disease in the country have dropped from its initial 3.1 million to 1.9 million, and also from second to forth position in global HIV/AIDs prevalence is no longer news, however, what remained news, as it was not told us in clear terms is the simple fact that the epidemic have succeeded in wiping out over a million people from the country, thereby, reducing the population of those living with the sickness that was put at 3.1 million between the time the result was last published and now that suggest that it has dropped to 1.9 million.....for complete reading, click... http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/…/how-hivaids-destroyed-ov…

The Nation “All these bloody civilians are criminals, your eye go see pepper today”, Phrases like this above is not new in Nigeria and many parts of Africa, as a matter of fact we have come to accepts, rephrased it and used it in several versions, yet not losing its origin nor what it connotes. The Prophet of God of the Salvation for the world Chapel, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Rev. Anietie Inyang, has revealed that he is not one of those reigning prophets. Clarifying the congregation of what he meant, Rev. inyang insisted that whatever is reigning today would someday go into obscurity. Rev. inyang further revealed that he in the other hand would always be in circulation, as long as he keeps saying and doing only what God tells him about the people and the nation as a prophet, without adding or deducting to suite certain individuals no matter how highly placed. “I only say what God revealed to me and asked me to say”, Rev. Inyang concluded. The Amazing and mind boggling experience at Salvation for the world Chapel. The liturgics music that sends everyone dancing in merriment of adoration, thanksgiving and prayer of warfare, leads to the charged and changed atmosphere at the chapel, including the man of God, who would’ve at this moment changed into a realm that radiates glory on his face. He would then start picking people at random to tell them their problems, practical solutions and sometimes plunging back the entire money he realized from collections, sowing and other means of generating income to the church in to the lives of the extreme needy who came to seek refuge from their creator and anyone that’s in need through several social initiatives. Experiencing one of such worship and deliverance session recently, the man of God after preaching and leading the people into a tensed session of warfare prayers, doesn’t just declared and make open declaration, he picks you out specifically and tell you succinctly, with such accuracy your problems. He would usually pause to ask you “Is it true?” before proceeding, until your deliverance and reprieve to whatever problem is come. “But always remember to returned with thanksgiving and to live a holy and sanctified life”, the man of God would always stressed.

WHEN I KNEW I DON’T LIKE BUHARI AS A LEADER General Mohammadu up until 1998 used to be my hero and icon because of those mythical war and bravery stories that used to fly around in the barracks about him where I grew up, just like every other military General and other soldiers. We even loved him the more when we heard he refused to plead to reach a truce with General Ibrahim Babangida, the man who overthrew him. Even when he made a comeback under General Sani Abacha, we were still happy and even allowed another rounds of tale to fly to us that Gen. Buhari was going to be reinstated, a thing that has never happened in the history of the military before, except for Jonathan’s regime, where a soldier was either dismissed or retired and later called back. Then fast forward to 1999 when another General, Gen. Obasanjo won election and returned to power as a democratically elected President. You see Buhari didn’t have faith in the transition that was organized by Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar, because Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar was perceived as the choice and imposition of Gen. IBB, a man Buhari has sworn to make and have as enemy till eternity. To me that was when I began to know that this man can be so consumed by personal vendetta, unforgiveness, and bitterness to the point of being eaten up by the past over the country where he was supposed to be an Elder statesman. Then came the Sharia issue that was threatening the unity of the country and killings everywhere in some states in the North in 1999/2000. Instead for Buhari, a former leader of the country to say what would have doused tension and cemented peace, he rather made the most “un Leadership” statement that further fueled the crises and continued the divide. Again there was the case with the fighting of the insurgency in the Northern states, when Buhari had categorically challenged the then federal government and told the world that the fight was a fight against the North. What a statement, as he just sorts to pitch the entire north against the government of the day. And you’re aware that throughout the PDP’s government of sixteen years (16)yrs PMB never attended any of the National Security Council meetings, which by law he was eligible and supposed to attend as former head of state and leader of the country? I hope we are not forgetting so soon, the post election violence that claimed several lives, including those of some National Youth Service Corp members, as a result of a certain “Baboon and monkeys soaking in their blood”, a statement by a “supposedly” elder statesman. |
Why I don’t like Buhari 1. Buhari is not a true and a good leader 2. Buhari is not a man of “true” integrity and honesty 3. Buhari is corrupt 4. Buhari lacks the capacity and understanding of what our today Nigeria requires 5. Buhari is runnig us down 6. Buhari’s appointments sucks 7. Bhari is running our country as if we are in 1979 8. Buhari is not a just leader 9. Buhari is an hypocrite 10. Buhari can never be a democrat 11. Buhari allows injustice, bias and victimizations of citizens to prevailed in his government and he looks the other way round |
I’m disappointed at the standard our society have agreed as yardstick of measurement of integrity. I’m sick and tired of hearing all this Mr. Integrity, Mr. Fighting corruption, Mr. this and Mr. that, Mr. yen yen and Mr. yeng yeng without hearing mentioned of his achievements as if the President was voted in to office to come and prove to us that he is a righteous man. Oga, Keep your self-righteousness to yourself and your family if they too may care; after all who your integrity hep? People are hungry and nothing is working all you are talking about is a kind of integrity that cannot stand basic integrity test. With your integrity and so much noise about fighting corruption, Nigeria is adjudged to have become more corrupt under your watch by the transparency international, an integrity rating, and internationally recognized institution. After corruptly obtaining power through blackmailed and deceit in 2015, all you have to show us as accomplishment and what progress you have made with the country as you seek second term is integrity. Haba now oga, na so you wan doam? Oga na integrity we go chop? Were you voted into power to come and prove integrity mbo Dokinta Sani Awudu! After all what kind of integrity are you depicting when you and your party would openly make deal with criminals agencies of government had established cases against just for selfish political gains? What kind of integrity when you select those that are not of the same political party with you to investigate and haunt around while yours’ walk freely and enjoyed freedom. Which kind integrity bi that? When you would upturn previously proven cases and sanctions of corruption by previous administration, absolved, promote and reward the culprits’ for whatever selfish affiliations. What are we talking about here? Isn’t it corruption worth investigation when you have Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) and some of the finest brains in this country in your government, yet what we’re getting is a shambolic governance that has make a shame of the country and embarrassed us all in this jet age and world of high standard competition. This itself is corruption I swear!

The man Senator Godswil Obot Akpabio, Senate Minority leader, many things and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State is a man that has been so maligned and vilified, most especially by people of his own state, (His own brothers, people that once drank from his cup and shared from his meal, the people that now turn around and malign him, they sell him out to outsiders to hate and persecute without knowing why they do so. But as the scripture says, I love it more in the Akwa Ibom dialect, “Oh Odiodiok ono owo odo edade mei ono Pilate”. Love him or hate him, Senator Godswil Akpabio’s man whom God has blessed and as such no man can curse. If you’re such with an ear to the ground, and you are from Akwa Ibom or just interested in issues within Akwa Ibom, you would have heard what people, most especially most elites, political jobbers, even some clegies of mostly the Uyo Senatorial district say or think of the man Akpabio, despite the many strategic infrastructures that completely transform the entire Uyo, Itu, Ibiono and the other LGAs that make up the Uyo Senatorial district, executed during and under the leadership of Akpabio, which they should be grateful. Most of you would say the man is a thief, he’s a murderer, he’s a cultist, he’s “ntiang, he's nkwong!”, he has embezzled and mismanaged fund meant for the state and whatsoever! What are you talking about? Are you for real? This is Naija for crying out loud. Let him that’s without sin be the first to cast the stone. Not even your “Mr. Integrity” in tje Rock or the Magu magu fellow who oversees financial crime and other related cases who himself steals more than ‘utere’. What we’re saying is that, “among them all, Godswil "afon akan mmo", inluding your father and mine, may be. That’s why they hate him. They hate him because they know that he’s better than them all. “Even among thieves, there is honour”, They know that Godswil is more honourable among all of them. You see it is now that I have come to grasp in clearer perspective, the corruption bug bugging everyone in Nigeria. “All have sinned and come short of the glory of the Lord” Shikena’n! Even in the next ten generations of the unborn offspring of a Nigerian, hardly would there be any born without the corruption gene in his or her DNA! All have sin remember! That’s the bitter reality with us all as Nigerians, let no man think he’s holier. Yes everyone in Nigerian is stained one way or the other, that even among the “puritanicals” or those that claimed to be holy, you would rather have Akpabio’s koboko and burden than all these their own! That’s why they don’t like him, because he’s better than them all. His liberality, compassion, generosity, the feelings of genuine care and the lifting up of fingers so that things would be better with someone else, especially the less privileged That’s why they hate him. They prefer the status quo where one would go to them every day to bootlicked and at the end of the day they managed to find you a day's meal and just transport enough to return tomorrow, as they continue to beat their chest that they are doing something for you. God pass them, that’s why Akpabio is better than them all. They accused him of wasting money. Nevertheless, what did he do with this money? Are there people in Akwa Ibom state, who have seen the sun shine, whom if not for Akpabio, may be, even for a thousand years to come, light and sunshine wouldn’t have shone on them and their entire generation? The answer is an emphatic and an affirmative YES because God knows how he does his things, Akpabio came on board and now some hate him. For what, why should you hate him? Do they hate him for opening their eyes and that of their unborn generation to good governance? Do they hate him that they have now started un-burying their money from the ground where they used to keep it endlessly and non-profitably and started building good houses for themselves and in their respective compounds? Do they hate him because they have now started living a good life and using modern facilities? Why do they hate him? Just tell me why! Ok, I now see why you hate him! You hate him for using Akwa Ibom state’s money to lift us all up and out from the psychological dungeon of the “etok syndrome” that had bastardised and conditioned our psyche to accept and think less of ourselves, to where, like the Israelites, others from other state now just want to be associated or have something to do with Akwa Ibom state. Do you think that it is such a cheap feat to have accomplished what Akpabio accomplished as a governor and now a Senator? If you don’t know, let me educate you, these are what Senator, Dr. (Chief) Godswil Obot Akpabio has done for us as a people, which we should be grateful for. A dynamic, sophisticated, well-groomed/cultured, sociable, charismatic leader that emerged in our time to rescue us from the mediocrity life that had characterised us as a people. A revolutionary thinker with a clear-cut emancipation agenda of his people that brought the whole world to Akwa Ibom in his time. And if you still don’t know what Akpabio is worth, let me tell you, the entire states of the North would give anything whatsoever it takes to just have Senator Akpabio as their leader, even if it’s just for two weeks, an Abuja based Barrister from Borno state said recently. We now know why they don’t like him, like some sadistic parents that have everything yet don’t allow their children to enjoy them. Balderdash! If all them criminal politicians in Nigeria, the likes of Senator David Mark, Bukola Saraki, Tinubu, OBJ, Donald Duke, Victor Attah, Chimaoroke Nnnamanni, Orji Uzoh Kalu and a whole lot of more greedy others are like Godswil Akpabio, I wouldn’t mind that they steal all the money in Nigeria and be given a trillion at the Senate , as I am confident that the money would still be used and ploughed back into bettering our society, not like you and your fathers’ that do not steal, yet Millions keep disappearing from the tresury, we are still hungry, nothing that suggest anything is happening at all. If Akpabio is a thief, I think we would be lucky to have that kind of a thief “They hate him because he has come to open our eyes but he’s better than them all”, Ndifreke from Mkpat-Enin contributed.

This current generation of the Nigerian Army have failed, they are a national disgrace and do not merit our sympathy nor support. I deliberately settle on this title so as to see if I can communicate or register a thing in the consciousness of all the other top military hierarchy and Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, Director, Army Public Relations, who in a statement debunking Elder Statesman, Brig General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma’s allegation that the military is colluding and aiding criminals and killers in the land. The military Spokesman in his statement directed that we used our respective platforms to disseminate military’s denial of the allegation to Nigerians. But you what, I vehemently refused to carry out this directive of the Military’s Public Relations’ Directorate because I want to let the military know that they don’t have any right or what so ever to just handover a statement we believe otherwise with just a command to go and disseminate. I want the military to learn a thing from our refusal to carry out their biddings on professional and ethic ground, as well as on matter of principle and good reasoning not to be their hatchet man as they have on their part jettisoned professionalism, ethic, good conscience and principle and turned themselves into politicians’ hatchet men in a democratic government. I want the military to wake up and be professional and refused every time politicians hands them an unpopular script and asked them to interpret. If there’s anyone the 8th Senate would really love to hate right now, I swear it’ll be one of their own, the outspoken and erudite Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna central senatorial district. To them he’s their public enemy no1 and not Magu, Malami, or the rubber stamp President who probably might not even know who Saraki is! But love him or hate him, but I bet you Senator Shehu Sani, (SSS) is the toast and darling of every conscious Nigerian now as, he’s the latest “mai gaskiya”, and not Buhari. And if party politics can allow him emerge as the Presidential flag bearer, I bet you again you’ve got for yourself a real revolutionary as a President. But for where? Whose side e’for take happen? The curse that was placed on Nigeria by Sir Fredrick Lord Lugard’s girlfriend, “ever to see and know the truth and what’s right but to always go for the wrong, a lame duck decision that always stall our development and a system that works for everyone wouldn’t allow that. But one day, just but one day! For complete reading click...http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2018/03/senator-shehu-sani-curse-or-blessing.html?m=1

In the entire history of the world, without exaggeration and without mincing words, the Nigeria Army has always been and remains the most vicious and barbaric of every country’s Army, not even the infamous Uganda Army of the Idi Amin Dada era or that of the Poyang North Korea is anything near barbaric and brutal as our Nigerian Army. Though she boast of the famous Nigerian Defence Academy, (NDA), but one wonders what those lads that comes out to run the military learned there if in a 21st century of information age and democracy, a country’s Army cannot imbibed professionalism that brings herself under the confines of animal civilisation that structures the culture of respect for human right and subscribing to the law of civilisation that distinguish humans from other lesser animals! Watching “Finding Fela”, a Hollywood documentary film of the life and times of the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Africa’s Afro beat Legend; you would just realise the volume of carnage and sacrilegious barbaric act committed by the military government using the Nigerian Army and the police against an individual, a citizen. You would weep for “civilisation”, as the combine team of the Nigerian Army and the police used by the state abused the treaty of civilisation which she is a member! And not quite long before the 1970s of Fela’s dynasty, was the Nigerian-Biafra civil war, where you would watch in nostalgia as the Nigerian army sacrilegiously demonstrated disgusted barbarianism of exterminating armless citizens and POW, taking curses unto themselves. Even in our today 21st century democratic era, our military have continue to live in ignorance and the discipline that’s expected of a soldier in today’s civilised world, as they continue with their brutality and the abused of the rights of armless civilians uncheck. Funny enough, when their high handedness snowballs into a full conflagration where the people sort to defend themselves, they always find it difficult to quail, always causing losses and unnecessary expenditure for the country. “Serves them right”, someone said! A readily coming to mind is the ongoing war against Boko Haram. If not for the piling up of our force men high handedness and abused of civilians’ rights by the military as witnessed on every streets of the country which gathered momentum into insurrection, the Boko Haram war wouldn’t have been of this magnitude. Should we forget in a hurry Zaki Biam, Udi, IPOB and not quite long, two days ago to be specific a force man slapped a pregnant woman along Oshodi, Lagos and she died, and what even happened to the lady that was assaulted by a Naval officer some years ago, whose case got to the court and it became a national issue and embarrassment! And in all of these, they always get away with it, all th more reading...http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2018/03/nigerian-army-got-away-and-still.html?m=1

Call from www.friendsonaija.com.ng Like the American genius and Scientist, Stephen Hewnkings, who died last week requested for an audience with the Pope only to informed him “Now I believe”, before he passed on, so also, but in the negatives, after considering happenings in the country under PMB and the APC government, lot of compatriots, most especially many who only believed in Gen. Mohammandu Buhari and his APC congregation because of the born again Professor turns politician, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, have now altered their believes in lot of things they used to believe about the Prof, Nigeria and the hope they had in the APC regime before she came to power. Anybody at all who had any iota of believe in APC and her Presidential candidate prior to the 2015 general election, most especially the learned and informed West and others across the country only did so because of the emergence of Professor Yemi Osibanjo in the political equation. Many believed that because of his understanding of the world, social savvy, knowledge of law, fear of God and integrity, he would at least bring his influence to bear in the many anomalies that goes on in the secrets, they call governance in Nigeria. So if the truth be told, you would realise that lot of people who supported and voted for APC did so not because of Tinubu and the other political heavy weight in APC but solely for the Prof. Nobody, knowing Buhari’s past record of nepotism, religious extremism, lack of education and charisma required of a leader, incompetence and social savvy would have given the General any chance, but for the Prof and the many professionals whose deafening voices were beginning to cry against the confraternity parade call PDP. Nobody knew Buhari for anything good beyond fighting corruption, and you would have to agree with me that Buhari’s incompetence is as worse as corruption itself. With latest unfoldings in the country, like the brutal used of force and proscription of IPOB as a terrorists organisation, the refusal to proscribe the deadly Fulani Herdsmen who have killed thousands of Nigerians, including children and security personnel, the many blatant disobedience to competent courts and rulings, selective fight against corruption, lopsided appointments and appointment of incompetent people in sensitive positions, the clamping down on the press and denying the press information on the state of the nation and government officials, despite FOI law in operation, the many incompetence and failings of this administration and many other more jagons that continue to make Nigeria a laughing stock in a democratic government that has a Jurisprudence university lecturer as the number two man in command and a former governor of Lagos State, a law officer himself with the high rank of “SAN” and many, whom we used to hold in high esteem as members of cabinet, one is only left to wonder if the VP and the likes of Fashola still in this government still believes in their convictions and beliefs about democracy, social programmes, rule of law, democratic tools and institutions as they used to propagate? What has happened to the very fine ideological and principled Professor and many fine politicians in this government we were anchoring our hopes on that they would salvage our situation? Is the Prof and others men of integrity in this government under some kind of blackmail or are they under some kind of threat that they cannot disagree or offer the President any sane advice that would ameliorate this national embarrassment as we are currently undergoing! What has happened to common sense? I only needed to sit under Prof Yemi Osibanjo once in an entrepreneurial training organised by Real Men Unlimited (RMU), the Men Fellowship of the Redeem Christian Church of God, City of David, Victoria Island in 2010 to be convinced that we still have people in the country who haven’t sacrificed their conscience on the altar of greed and wickedness, people who seeks the good of the country and her people. After that, I have attended many other events and listened to tapes that has the Prof as the speaker, as I came to believe so much in his integrity and Christian uprightness. But with the VP’s daughter marrying a non-believer, he participating in the sharing and arrogating our common wealth to themselves in the name of governance and many other stuffs playing out in our country which are not supposed to be in a democratic government, and him not opposing any, I don’t believe anymore because I don’t think he is still bind to those convictions.

Human right Lawyer, Mr. Inibehe Effiong is not a happy man, following the loss of his HP Laptop, which he said got missiing at the Murtala Mohammed International Airpprt, Lagos Nigeriaria, a country full of corruption, yet her leader, President Mohammadu Buhari want to help a lesser corrupt country, Ghana to fight corruption. Here is the account of Mr. Effiong MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF MY BLACK HP LAPTOP FROM THE SCREENING MACHINE OF THE MURTALA MUHAMMED AIRPORT, LAGOS (GAT) ON TUESDAY 6TH MARCH, 2018. My name is Inibehe Effiong. I was a Passenger on the 7:50AM Lagos to Abuja Air Peace Flight P47122 of Tuesday 6th March, 2018. My boarding pass is attached to this post. I arrived Air Peace check-in counter at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) 40 minutes before departure time and was checked-in by Air Peace. I immediately proceeded to the screening point for security clearance in preparation for boarding. On reaching the screening point and in line with the directive of the Aviation Security officials (AVSEC) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), I removed my Black HP Laptop from my pilot suitcase into one of the trays along with my phone, belt and wristwatch and passed them through the Screening Machine for checks and clearance. I equally passed my pilot suitcase separately through the Screening Machine.Unfortunately, I failed to pick up my laptop from the screening machine after clearance but proceeded straight to the aircraft for boarding. Immediately I stepped my foot on the aircraft, before taking my seat, it occurred to me that I had left my laptop behind on the screening machine. I alerted a member of the Crew on-board and sought her permission to go back to retrieve my laptop which she granted. On reaching the screening point, I intimated the AVSEC At that point, I had to return to the aircraft which was being delayed momentarily in part because of me. I reiterated to members of the Crew on board that my laptop was missing. Immediately we landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja I proceeded to report the matter to the Head of Air Peace Security, Mr. Pamzat who linked me with their official in Lagos. The said official Mr. Francis was was off duty but he further referred me to another Air Peace official in Lagos, Mr. Omale whom I spoke with over the phone on the matter. I also reported the matter to the NCA Desk and SERVICOM Desk in Abuja respectively. They contacted Lagos airport and communicated my complaint to their colleagues and officials in Lagos. The sudden and mysterious disappearance of my laptop from the screening machine happened within a space of about 5 - 10 minutes. It begs the question: who could have taken the laptop given the highly restrictive nature of the screening point which is only open to airline staff, airport officials and intending passengers? It is my believe that an important part of the popular Lagos Airport such as the screening point should have Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV). As part of investigation into this matter, I have requested that the CCTV(s) record of the screening point for Tuesday 6th March, 2018 should be retrieved and demonstrated. I believe this will likely resolve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of my laptop. Upon my return to Lagos on Friday, 9th March, 2018 I met with the Chief Security Officer of Domestic Terminal 1 and other AVSEC officers. They obtained a written statement from me and also took photograph of me as part of their investigation into the matter. I have been seriously distressed over this matter. This Laptop is like my mobile office. Laptop to a practicing lawyer is more than a computer device. My law materials, precedents, etc, are contained in that laptop. My Electronic Law Report, Law Pavilion, which I installed with N150,000 last year is also in that laptop. I cannot quantify the value of the laptop in terms of money. I hope that whoever is in possession of my laptop will read this SOS message and will be touched to return it. I have never stolen anyone's property in my life. I have striven to be a good Samaritan all my life. I am not making this public to elicit pity, I don't like to be pitied. PLEASE HELP TO SHARE THIS POST WIDELY. Thank you. 10: 2015 ELECTION: As a Nigeria you never know the extend to be grateful for the 2015 general election that ushered in the opposition, All Progressive Congress, (APC) and President Mohammadu Buhari to power, until you consider the revelations of the staggering amount of money individuals in this country were having the audacity to steal and the many lies the ruling party then was presenting to us about the state of our country. The 2015 election has also helped Nigerians to know that President Mohammadu Buhari and his APC do not have what it takes to fix the country as against the posture he was presenting before coming to power, which was making Nigerians feel that the right person is not being given the chance to rule. We are grateful that we now know beyond doubt that Buhari is old, retired, incapacitated as a result of old age and lacks the knowledge and what it takes to pilot Nigeria as countries in modern world operates. We are grateful for life’s eventual outcomes, because it always have something beautiful to offer us in the long run. For the rest, cluck... http://www.friendsofnaija.com.ng/2018/03/ten-most-important-things-in-life-that.html?m=1

President Mohammadu Buhari’s obsession with “only his own" understanding of the concept of corruption and the Nigerian elderly people’s mentality that the aged are always right is fast becoming a thing of mockery and embarrassment to Nigeria before the international community. This Obsession has now made our President to exhibits traces only seen with dull student who thinks he sees opportunity in the open work of a brilliant student only to proceed and copy everything, including the name of the brilliant student, to his own foolishness.
