I didn't say MTN doesn't send pop or flash messages. What am trying to buttress is the fact that op is trying to mislead people to say that MTN wants to pay their fine via increase in call tariff that took place before the ban. Those experiencing hike maybe those on MTN zone bla bla because I wouldn't advice anyone to join that dynamic plan. The flash message you saw was an advertisement, it is left for you to accept or decline. it is only when such message pop up asking you to click ok and you mistaking respond, that is were I would agree with him.
Nehi! What I am trying to say is that MTN had been screwing us for too long with no one to the rescue and are still screwing us.

Abeg stop spreading lies. MTN true talk plus was increased to about 20k/sec before the ban, secondly those pop sms and calls are from their VAS which had be one ever since inspite of subscriber's plea to stop them, thirdly MTN wouldn't increase call rate as it would attract another fine, fourthly MTN would end up paying less fine after negotiation because other foreign investors are watching. Infact about 5 popular tv carried the news. NCC categorical stated that the fines were to serve as warning to all service providers that disobeys orders from the commission.
Are you holding brief for MTN, can MTN said to be innocent of these accusations? Oga!

Welcome to friends of Nigeria @ http://friendsofnija..com.ng/?m=1

The other day, I caught a reply on a thread on Nairaland, the Nigerian online forum where a member threw a jab below the belt at MTN, following the fine that was slammed on the tele-communication giant for inappropriate business practices.
“MTN, how market” the online forum member demanded, sarcastically to his peril.
While the unsuspecting public are here feeling that MTN, a South African company, whom no Nigerian citizen or a Nigerian business can try a quarter of the criminal and dubious activities she perpetrate here in Nigeria deserve the penalty, the telecommunication giant have concluded plans to continue stealing, even more from unsuspecting subscribers to pay the fine without feeling the pain or loss a thing.
The other day I made a 15 seconds call on my trutalk plan, which they said is supposed to be 11kobo per second, and I was deducted a whopping N22. Can you believe that? There is also the case of the sms of free offer for a ring tone, and criminally laden promos, which either you accede to it or not, they would start billing you indiscriminately.
The other day one of the South African companies’ customer representatives called me from their GoTV company to enquire if I am enjoying the service they’re rendering, and I was categorical in telling the dude to go to hell with their criminal company. So sorry I wasn’t that nasty to the fellow, whom I discovered are only helpless and only surviving, but I was quick to point out to the guy that those guys can get away with every atrocities against the Nigerian unsuspecting customers because of the collaborations of most of our people, who encouraged them that they can get away with whatever they do. #GODBLESSSNIGERIA.

Fani-Kayode also berated former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the spokesperson of the APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who he said were accusing him of many crimes, including bad health.

He said, It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but rather Bola Tinubu that slurs when he speaks. It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but Bola Tinubu that has to take 20 pills before he can speak.

“It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but Bola Tinubu that his hands shakes when he tries to eat and lifts a fork and knife. it is not me, It is not Femi Fani-Kayode that his breath is so bad, it is so bad enough to knock off the beard. It is not Femi Fani-Kayode. So, if anybody is to talk about ill health. They should talk about themselves and not about me.

“My name is Femi Fani-Kayode, and nobody can Kill me before my time. Nobody can cut me short and I habour no fear of violence and I do not take threats lightly. Neither do I fear for my life.

“Because I have never shed blood and I do not believe in violence, the angel of the Lord will strike that person dead before they point a gun at me in Jesus Name.”

Meanwhile, the party has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their renewed solidarity and overwhelming support for President Jonathan.

The party said its National Chairman, Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, has directed all PDP candidates as well as would-be government appointees under the party to prepare to go the extra mile to make huge sacrifices after victory.

PoliticsObasanjo An Example Of The Kind Of Leader Nigeria Shouldn’t Have. by Tonway(op): 5:16pm On Feb 17, 2015
Friendsofnija..com

How long would Baba Obasanjo keeps shitting on everyone and expects them to keep packing it? Can any man ever be so callous and mischievous in utterances and deeds? A graver disappointment to young people of this generation, who seeks positive exemplary models to pattern their lives after so as to actualize the developmental goal of our country. And here we have leaders and elder state’s men like OBJ, whom people should be looking up to failing in every moral senses and wasting the grace the creator, and the goodwill and resource the country had invested on him.

Chief, General, grand master know it all, and do no wrong OBJ, the principality and the example of the kind of leaders a country shouldn’t have, except a cursed nation was at it again when he announced that he love Nigeria so much, against those seeking her to destroy! What a paradox!

OBJ, just as the military had warned recently-needs know that he’s not the only general or leader this country had ever had. We have Gen. Yakubu Gowon, (aka Jack Gowon), the civil war chief commander, we have the ever evasive maradonic and chameleonic darling bomb, General IBB, what about GMB, Abdulsalam Abubakar, Shagari, Shonekan, and all these respectable compatriots and leaders who knows how and when to advised themselves on how to behave and respond to national issues are in this great country, not like the ‘Motor park touts’ style of OBJ, if I might borrow from the President’s adjective.

OBJ it is, not too long ago, his atrocities it was which went against the Nigerian Nation, bastardizing and the degrading our institutions, the most instrumental pillars on which any expected fruits from any democratic practice could be realised.

Here is what Iyabo Obasanjo, the daughter of our ‘not the kind of leader we deserve said about her father “

“It brings me no joy to have to write this but since you started this trend of open letters I thought I would follow suit since you don’t listen to anyone anyway. The only way to reach you may be to make the public aware of some things. As a child well brought up by my long-suffering mother in Yoruba tradition, I have been reluctant to tell the truth about you but as it seems you still continue to delude yourself about the kind of person you are and I think for posterity’s sake it is time to set the records straight.

“I will return to the issue of my long-suffering mother later in this letter.

“Like most Nigerians, I believe there are very enormous issues currently plaguing the country but I was surely surprised that you will be the one to publish such a treatise. I remember clearly as if it was yesterday the day I came over to Abuja from Abeokuta when I was Commissioner of Health in OgunState, specifically to ask you not to continue to pursue the third term issue.

“I had tried to bring it up when your sycophantic aides were present and they brushed my comments aside and as usual you listened to their self-serving counsel. For you to accuse someone else of what you so obviously practiced yourself tells of your narcissistic megalomaniac personality.

Everyone around for even a few minutes knows that the only thing you respond to is praise and worship of you. People have learnt how to manipulate you by giving you what you crave. The only ones that can’t and will not stroke your ego are family members who you universally treat like shit (sic) apart from the few who have learned to manipulate you like others. Before I continue, Nigerians are people who see conspiracy and self-service in everything because I think they believe everyone is like them. This letter is not in support of President Jonathan or APC or any other group or person, but an outpouring from my soul to God. I don’t blame you for the many atrocities you have been able to get away with, Nigerians were your enablers every step of the way. People ultimately get leaders that reflect them.

And here is what his son, Gbenga Obasanjo admitted about his father, our “NO!” leader:

Gbenga Obasanjo

Gbenga Obasanjo, first son of former head of state, and president, Gen, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who alleged that his father was having an affair with his wife of eight years, thereby, seeking annulment of the abominable adulterous union.

“The Petitioner avers that the Respondent also got rewarded for her adulterous acts with several oil contracts with the NNPC from his father, General Olusegun Obasanjo, amongst which was the NNPC consultancy training in supply chain management and project management awarded to her company Bowen and Brown. The Petitioner avers that the lurid sexual relationship of the Respondent, with her own father, Otunba Alex Onabanjo and his father General Olusegun Obasanjo, has brought him great pain and psychological trauma and is the primary reason for the breakdown of his marriage to the Respondent” and lots more.

Here also is what Gen. Alabi Isama said in response to OBJ’s “My Watch” Super story book:

I’m gravely pained to be trading words with General Olusegun Obasanjo once again on the history of Nigeria-Biafra War. He is an elder and a former ruler who, ordinarily, should be treated with utmost respect.Olusegun Osoba

But how can one genuinely respect an old man who tells lies like a badly raised child? Obasanjo has obviously not recovered from the shock inflicted on him by my book, The Tragedy of Victory in which I exposed the tissues of lies in his civil war memoir, My Command. It is
said that a lie may travel for a thousand miles, but it takes just one step of truth to catch up with it.”

What about what Prof, Wole Soyinka, the Nobel laurel thinks of the mischiefs tendencies of General OBJ:

In response, Professor Soyinka, in a piece titled “Watch And Pray, Watch And Prey”, said:

APC’s visit to OBJ: Nigeria heading for a shipwreck -Soyinka “I despise that species of humanity whose stock-in-trade is to concoct lies simply to score a point, win an argument, puff up his or her own ego, denigrate or attempt to destroy a fellow being. However, even within such deplorable species, a special pit of universal opprobrium is surely reserved for those who even lack the courage of their own lies, but must foist them on others.”

PoliticsElection Postponement, The Truth Apc Governors And Inec Are Not Telling Us. by Tonway(op):
friendsofnija..com

This is a line in the “Sucker Punch” of James Hadley Chase that describes APC now:

“It’s when a man is full of confidence that he’s wide open for a sucker punch.
I’ve seen it again and again. In my own racket, a man committed murder.
He took a lot of trouble and thought to cover up. All he imagined he
was free, but he wasn’t. Just when he least expect, he was down on his back,
with something coming to him a damn side worse than a busted jaw”

Prior to the announcement that the Feb14th poll as earlier scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been postponed by six weeks, the almighty Council of state had met Wednesday and the outcome of the meeting as told us by APC governors was that PDP governors were the ones pushing for a shift, which the council, made up of all past and present Chief justices of the federation, all past and sitting Presidents or Heads of states, the Senate President, the Speaker and all the thirty six (36) states governors rejected the call, and agreed that the Valentine’s day election would hold as scheduled, prompting some of us ‘News merchants’ to go to the market with our wares, posting, commenting and informing our listeners that the much anticipated shift would not happen after all. They didn’t just stopped there; they went on in their typical cynical, propaganda and fault finding nature as seen by the governor of Lagos State, Governor Fashola in a campaign ground somewhere in Lagos. He accused the government and the PDP of being afraid of losing, hatching a coup against democracy and all sorts.

That put pen to paper, and the assurance informed jubilations and calmed anxieties in most some quarters, until some hours later, when we started hearing again that the INEC boss, Prof Atahiru Jega and his states’ residences commissioners would be meeting again in two days’ time, being Saturday to consider if it would postponed the election or not, the outcome being the current stands by the electoral body that the election has to be shifted as a result of the military’s none guaranty of security to INEC staff, materials and the citizens at large on the stipulated date of feb14. None of them admits that INEC is not prepared with all the lapses noticed and being talked about. Like the recruitment and training of 7,000 ad-hoc staff, the outstanding PVC still pending where they’d been contracted to, none issuance of over 34% of PVCs and lots of others. They choose to play to the gallery all in the name of opposition, just as the INEC boss is, also afraid to admit that he had once again allowed the Nigerian syndrome of not being serious with serious issues until final minutes score on him and his commission. So it was with lots other national issues like the fuel subsidy removal that boomeranged on the President, which he’s still being vilify for. They were all part of the meeting that rectified and approved that the subsidy should be removed because it would mean more allocation. But when it boomeranged they distance themselves immediately and even joined in knocking the President. What about THE SOVEREIGN TRUST FUND, meant to save proceeds from the excess crude? We forget so soon that once upon a time, not too long ago, Governor Ameachi of River’s State and some governors vehemently opposed the President and the Finance and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy not to save any money, but to share as it comes, even up the extends of going to seek interpretation from the court. And now everyone is using it for campaign and pointing accusing fingers at the President for corruption and refusing to save for the rainy day. Just as a caller called in on a radio programme last week and pointed out “When you say that the President is corrupt because he is not checking corruption, what is the judiciary, national Assembly and others, even up to the states doing?” Not forgetting the opposition, as they have members in the National assembly. “more on friendsofnija..com

PoliticsWhat APC And Buhari Seem To Be Doing Better Than The PDP And Jonathan! by Tonway(op): 5:50pm On Feb 13, 2015
friendsofnija..com

What APC and Buhari seem to be doing better than the PDP and Jonathan!
After the 2011 poll and the aftermath violence that ensued, Buhari himself and everyone in the country, including political pundits all over the world that are interested in Nigeria and African politics concluded that ‘that was the end of Buhari in anything related to politics in the country’ Him, himself realised say him don Bleep up, and he declared that he was done. Shi ke’ nan angama, Ba ni, ba tsiasa(No me, no politics).
All these were because of the comments that triggered the wanton destruction of lives and properties in some parts of the North that was linked to him. But today, after just a little less than four years, Buhari has become the darling of everyone; I also, almost caught the bug. The media, the almighty, all-knowing, and revered Nobel laurel, Prof Wole Soyinka, even the once upon a time El Rufai and everyone now seems to be singing Buhari’s and APC’s praise in the highest of tones. APC!!! =CHANG!

The question now is: what has APC and Buhari done so well that now swayed potential voters, including the likes of OBJ, who’re members of the opposing party, PDP to all be rooting for their governance as a substitute for the failed and handicapped PDP? Are there lessons or indications to draw from this “Sai Baba and the APC’s wind that’s blowing?
Just a little while ago, before political activities for 2015’s change of baton kick started, there was a rumour of the hiring of Obama’s campaign manager by the APC to come and strategies for them, while the PDP and her media and Public Relations’ handlers, in their arrogance and self-confidence went to sleep, under-minding what the foreign strategist could be bringing to the table that could give an edge to any candidate from potential opposition. Their PR and media handlers refused to rehearsed the objective of PR and to device winning strategies. They forgot that PR and information and actions to keep the people on your side are none static, and so required continuous tinkering and re-strategizing. You can’t win today’s war with yesterday’s tactic

“Public relations is acknowledged to be very vital to the survival of organisations, institutions and individuals. Through its multifaceted functions of evaluating attitudes and executing actions, it eliminates suspicion and friction thereby, providing bridges of understanding upon which goodwill reigns between an organisation and the publics that deal with it. As a planned communication, public relations is capable of redeeming an organisation’s image (however poor an organisation finds itself) and in its place, restore confidence, goodwill and mutual understanding and patronage that every organisation needs for survival. Since public relations is all about creating mutual understanding through action, information and communication, as well as, knowledge management, the imperative of every organisation seeking to maintain mutual understanding with its teeming publics for harmonious coexistence can no longer be overemphasized” That’s just the difference, just the international touch of sincerity in managing conflict. (www.bpcomms.org)

Yesterday, let me remind you, Buhari was in the Church in his region (North) to confer with the pastors, whom they said he was going to persecute and kill if they don’t convert to Islam. And that was after meeting with their southern counterparts the previous day. And you and all of us, all know that Buhari wouldn’t had even entertained that piece of killer punch in his rigid thought, talk less having it in his campaign itinerary. What does that suggest? Just one thing. Our media planners and strategist are lazy, they lack the capacity to think, and even if they do,More on friendsofnija..com

PART2
THE BATTLE OF KIRNUA, A BORDER TOWN IN BORNO STATE: FRIENDSOFNIJA..COM
Kirnua, Bodaga told me was his beat alongside the other members of the security operative that comprise of the JTF, as they fight from several fronts to repelled the insurgence away from Baga, the head quarters to the joint multinational task force that was captured by the insurgence some couple of weeks ago. Apparently the insurgence had identified Baga as their key operation target, and had been making frantic attempt to capture the town and the combined military base before they finally did the day they did.

And according to my friend, he’d just finished his sentry at six o’clock that morning in Kirnua, one of the villages in New Marte local government area of Borno State, one of the strong centers of the insurgence, and was just about removing his booth to ease his aching feet, when he saw two vans full of the men of the Nigerian custom service, who were holding operation some meters ahead of the team my friend was a member.

“O boy these stupid and crazy boys don dey com’oo!” The Van paused to announce.

But before my friend and his crew could pack the few belongings they could take and to rescue the arms at their position from finding its way into the insurgence’s hand, the frightful van and it passengers took off immediately, refusing to wait and carry along the JTF men.
They stood dumfounded, as they watched their only hope of escaping from an impending slaughter in the hands of over a thousand insurgence that were advancing toward them with a back up armor tank and foot soldiers with sophisticated arm and endless rapid bullets strapped round (some) their jalabia top over a camouflage or khaki trousers they would’d stripped off their previous victims, (JTF) or the camouflage top on their jalabia trousers, as they would’d managed to share among themselves that at least everyone was holding something, no matter how small. Caps, belts, booths and anything they would’d stolen from their captured victims.

Unknown to the fleeing custom men, the insurgence, in a Tom and Jerry game with the government’s troops had either came during the night or through a saboteur among the soldiers, or still some of the indigenes and carefully and successfully laid explosive mines round the vicinity without the knowledge of the JTF, trapping them completely. And as the custom men sped off, without premonition, they ran into the mines, which detonated instantly, sending the two vans up in shrapnel, the whole custom officers in the two vans completely destroyed.
Apparent and contrary to speculation that the head quarters of radical group is the notorious Sambisa forest, their real head quarter is in Bagaza, a desert enclave inside the Chad republic. And they’d in the night laid their mines from the surroundings of east, and south of the entire position of the little over twenty men of the JTF, and were attacking from the west and living north, which would eventually lead to their head quarters in Bagaza, in Chad, an orchestrated plan to capture the security men alive.

The insurgence, whom my source revealed, that on quality and withstanding power would require approximately two thousands of them to withstand ten motivated and ‘willing to fight’ Nigerian security force, were cursing while shooting sporadically as they approached the soldiers, rejoicing at the sight of the explosion which they believe had destroyed the infidel’s government force.
The soldiers warning themselves with the lesson from the destroyed custom men, packed what they could pack from their threatened position, and brought out their mines and bomb detector, as it began to identify areas laden with mines from a distance. Taking a retreat, they approached the spot where the bloods and the remnants of the custom men lies and tip toed between blown off turn flesh and blood soaked ground and past out of the trap that was set for them, as the insurgence which my friend said just shoot without aiming at target started appearing in sight. more on friendsofnija..com

I came out last Saturday; 8’o clock in the morning, following a relatively favorable weather as a result of the rain that’d fell Friday morning, though I learned APC is accusing PDP for the rain, as they said it was meant to disrupt their presidential campaign in Lagos. You’ll agree with me that since the harmattan finally bided us good bye, not sure if she’ll return next year or not, the nights had been unbearable as a result of excessive heat, but for the Friday night/Saturday morning, sleep was good.

The boys’d already started congregating, as I’d heard them talking earlier by my window before I went out to joined them, to see if there was anything to lazy on along, while we wait out the all powerful Lagos State’s end of month’s sanitation exercise. Thank God for the charged up political activities that now offer something to talk about, plus the ‘Sai Baba’ ‘disease’ which my neighbors seemed to have also caught the bug.

We’d already started analyzing the individual effectiveness and political savvy of the Jagaband, which we all agreed was the back bone of the opposition’s push to capture the country’s throne of power, which seem to be gaining momentum on daily bases, when my phone rang:

“Toney inna ke ke?” The voice demanded, excitedly, as if it’d everyday you have someone that rarely relates with his old and formative years’ peeps! {TRANSLATION} (Where are you?)
(Kai, dan Shedan, where in Hell’ve you been?” I demanded. (You son of a devil)
“Don’t worry am alive” He announced, before he set out to informed me that he was in town, and would want to see me, before he goes back to his beat next tomorrow as they battle to recapture Kirnua, a post he said they lost last week to the insurgence, after a fierce battle that lasted for days.
Bodaga, as commonly referred to is one of us, like Rex and others, who decided to go into the security service after we graduated from the Army Day Secondary School, in Bama some over fifteen years ago. And Bama is the largest local government area in Borno State, which is reported to be currently under the control of the members of the radical insurgence group, Boko Haram. At a time everyone of the old confraternity seemed to had given up on Bodaga as they’d in the past called several times to complained of his annoying habits of not returning calls, and keeping up with the old ‘confra’, which though most of us haven’t seen each other for those long a time, but still keep track with each other through the exchange and our old boys and girls association’s facebook group.
Last July, when I’d had course to travelled to Kaduna, and was told that he’s based in Kaduna, I’d made effort to hook up with him, only to had the phone rang without him picking, nor had he considered it civilized to returned the call later, if he claimed he was busy as of when I called. And I was told by the guys and ladies that’d experienced him that that is a typical Bodaga’s treat. So his calling and coming to see me last Saturday was something others considered I was lucky for, or that he really might be holding me in high esteem.
Bodaga told me lots of first hand stories about the Boko Haram war, which he confidently told me that men of his constituency have the capacity to quail, but for undue politics and complexities involving the politician, some Islamic clerics, welfare/motivation, and sincerity and commitment toward stamping out the insurgence on the parts of the military hierarchy.

EQUALING THE SCORES, BUHARI MIGHT HAVE OLAMIDE INTERVIEW HIM ON LTV OR TVC! friendsofnija..com

Following the decision of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to boycott the upcoming presidential debate organized by the presidential debate team over what they term as biased and compromising body language of the organizers against their candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, it remain to be seen and unconfirmed whether APC might be considering toying the path of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s model of 2011 when he rather agreed to be a guest to Nigeria’s pop star, D’Banj, alias the koko master on a Silver Bird Television (STV) talk show than to honour the debate.
In a similar instance now, we are advising the APC to bring the game to a draw by having Olamide and other great A artists to host the coming GMB television show to make up for their absent in the BON organized debate. And if the APC are to in any way consider this option, we hereby, advice them to choose from the long range of talented and rave of the moments super stars like Olamide, Phyno, Wizkid, Davido, Yemi Alade, and etc, and anything short of those great A act, they should forget it.

It was a bizarre sight that sparks of a country where everything has gone out of control, including law and order as youths wearing APC branded T-shirts held commuters and people of Bajulaiye Street, in Shomolu to ransom yesterday. They operated freely, threatening people with arms ranging from guns, machete and other dangerous weapons.

The youths in their hundreds completely took over the street, forcing commuters to either park aside, or they’re pushed off the road, after being extorted. According to eye witnessed report, the party thugs were chanting anti PDP songs, which forced a certain passenger who was wearing a TAN T-shirt to be hidden under the bus’ seat, as fellow passengers covered him with their legs, while the thugs approached the bus to collect their shandi from the driver.

QUESTIONS OBJ, GEJ, AND ALL PDP MEMBERS, INCLUDING, ATIKU ABUBAKAR, AMAECHI, KWANKWASO HAVE TO ANSWER! friendsofnija..com

Am reporting live from Benin, the capital of Edo state, and here are some few questions raised by APC leaders to Mr. President and all the PDP members, but I included the others because they’d been part and parcel of these menace call PDP which APC is planning to solve.

• Before PDP took over in 1999, the megawatt generated by NEPA was over three to four thousand megawatt, but today sixteen years after, and after spending over $20B, we can only generate less than two megawatt.

• Six years after Jonathan promised to revamp and gets the refinery working, no single refinery is producing; we keep exporting crude oil and jobs to other country, by extension boosting their economy, while importing joblessness to our country.

• Six years ago you asked for votes and promised to serve and now you’re making excuses
• You admitted there are Boko Haram members in your government and yet you haven’t sack and prosecute anyone in connection to terrorism.
• PHCN collect money from Nigerians and yet there is no power and you haven’t done anything.
• You appoint and promote known corrupt people to exalted position.
• The roads constructed are only ‘political construction’ deceiving the people.
• Lie, lie, lie, lie and lie they conclude.
PoliticsIn-eligibility For Us Visa As Penalty For Elections’ Violence Papetrators--usa by Tonway(op): 8:08am On Jan 28, 2015

This American government must be ‘highing’ up on some strange substance to think that threatening to deny Danlami and the other ‘election violence’ offenders in the North and the Rivers would deter them from hacking down and sliding the throats of innocent NYSC members and destroying people’s properties? What’re they thinking, who told them that Ganiyu cares for their VISA anyway?
Even if they managed to established that the killers and destroyers did their evils on behalf of GMB or GEJ, who told them that Buhari cares about their VISA, are they not aware that GEJ prefers Germany and Asari Dokubo, Saudi Arabia, while Abubakar Shekau deals with Russia and the Sudan, while Buhari knows an Alfa in Daura that mixes agbo that agrees so well with his systems as it always renew his age and courage.

I was thinking the old man was coming to scare us personally that President Obama would not hesitate to send his strike force to come down and haul our asses, or hunts and extradite whoever instigate violence and can’t call their followers or sympathizers to order anywhere they may be. If just threatening not to invite me any more for lunch in your house is all you have, you might’ve as well just send a mail to the American embassy here in Walter Carrington in Lagos, and they would’d gotten Punch and Guardian to tell us. Do they know how many people they’d been denying VISAs for how long? Heaven fall ni? Abbbeegggi, I see why you couldn’t win election.

PoliticsTo Crush Boko Haram In Two Weeks! The President Has Come Again! by Tonway(op): 11:58am On Jan 27, 2015

The President has come again with his promise!
Yesterday in a campaign rally in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State and the “Saraki’s conquest”, the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan revealed with confidence as the commander in Chief of Nigeria Arm forces that in two weeks time, the insurgency challenge facing part of the country in the North would be a thing of the past. The President, who also promised to free the people of Kwara from the claws of the none existence slave masters, should they and other Nigerians vote and returned him again as the President come Feb,14. Assuring the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sule Gambari, he informed the Emir that” in a couple of days, the military would be taking delivery of some sophisticated and modern effective arms to combat terrorism in the country, and insha-Allah!” He promised “In two weeks from yester, there wouldn’t be a single member of Boko Haran, killing people in Nigeria any more” SO IT’S POSSIBLE? WE’RE WAITING.

The President, who seems to gain the full supports of all PDP flag bearers across the country, including former and recently aggrieved members of the party, as they now tend to be sounding the President’s trumpet louder than theirs, even in their own turfs, when they should be selling themselves. Just like Lagos State governorship aspirant, Dr. #Jimi Agbaje called in on a live Beat FM Radio Show ‘Beallyoucanbe last Saturday’, hosted by #LanreOlusola, aka the catalyst and revealed that “The President’s achievements are being under reported and his mistakes over exaggerated by the opposition’s propaganda machine ”friendsofnija..com//Jonathan’s Achievements under reported---- JImi Agbaje, a similar position the President held last week in Bauchi, when he told the people there that the activities of Boko Haram have overshadowed his achievements.
But the reality and what we’re all saying is that the people, the majority masses are suffering lack and scarcity in an economy CNN just last week lend credence with their independent position to what the government and the coordinating minister of the economy and the finance, the big party men, and money choppers of the PDP have been forcing down our throats all the way since last year, when they came out with this unrealistic biggest economy’s hog-wash. What an irony!

PoliticsLai Mohammed Thinks Wife Cheating On Him! Friendsofnija..com by Tonway(op): 10:35am On Jan 24, 2015
All Progressive Congress’ Spoke Man, Alhaji Lai Mohammed is in a dilemma over suspicion that his wife could be cheating on him. Alhaji Mohammed, who had all the while believed his wife of many years, was honest, loving and sincerely committed to their relationship, only stumbled unto some revelation recently from the ruling party that suggest otherwise, and got him so worried.
The revelation came during a heated debate between the APC scribe and Dr. Kachi Onunuju, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) when the PDP man told the audience in the Nigerian Political Parties Debate on Thursday in Abuja, organised by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), Abuja, that the price of food stuffs and other items has started coming down, and others have remain relatively stable, even during the festive period. Dr. Kachi, who spoke with much confidence and optimism got the opposition man so wrath, that he had to excused the moderator, and demanded “If Dr. Kachi is living in this same country, or just arriving from the moon?” Mr. Mohammed also questioned his wife’s sincerity in the light of the aforementioned information, by informing the gathering that despite the claim by the PDP scribe, his wife has continued to demand the same amount of money, even more, required for housekeeping, and conclude that either his wife had been cheating on him, or Dr. Kachi is living somewhere out of reality.

PoliticsSay Me A Prayer FoR Rex, He’s On His Way To Damboa.http://friendsofnija. by Tonway(op): 9:25am On Jan 18, 2015
http://friendsofnija..com/

Most of us might not know where Damboa is, but most of us who’d been keeping up with the News and latest happenings lately should. But for a reminder, and bringing you up to date, Damboa is a local government in Borno state, where it was reported and awashed in the news some times late last year that members of the Islamic Sect, Boko Haram ran riot, slaughtering soldiers and the inhabitants of the place and completely taking over and burning the town down as it is their custom.

So when Rex, (Not real name) a child hood friend, and a year my senior in secondary school posted in his FB time line that he’s on his way to Damboa, we all in our old boys association prayed, and wished him well, while he go to fight for me and you, and our country. So I’m using this exalted platform, Friends of Naija (FON) to canvassed for more prayers for our Rex and all the other gallants and patriotic soldiers, who’re putting their lives on the line to push the terrorist back and to stop their continuous advancement, to where they’ll get to us in Abuja and Lagos.

With a heavy hard and apprehension, I’d simply commented and pleaded with him to avoid trying to be a ‘Commando or a Rambo’, which I know we all love to, but to be careful and stay and return back to us alive. I told him categorically that we need men, not heroes. Incidentally Rex’s father, like mine and others is a soldier, who died on active service since 2003, and up to the time I was putting this texts together, Rex is not on talking terms with his younger sister, Asabe and his mother, reason being that they believed he’d collected their father’s gratuity and entitlement and denied them a share, being the next of kin, while in reality as he told me, the military’s finance department/ authority haven’t paid him after several attempt and pursuing it and risking being fired from his job.

How much more can a country demand from a young man? How much more would they continue to ask Nigerian youth to contribute? Have we not contributed enough, while they continue to mismanaged our collective common wealth?

Drop me a line and I’ll tell you more about Rex’s predicament, but for the mean time, pray that he comes back alive, along all the other Soldiers.

God bless Nigeria!

God bless our military!

And may God bless and grant them victory over the evil forces fighting against our country in all front!
PoliticsThree Years After, Why The People Might Never Forgive The President by Tonway(op): 11:53am On Jan 06, 2015
http://friendsofnija..com/

If you ask me, na who I go ask, the matter wey you see so, he hevy for my eye, if you ask me, na who I go ask, eh na who I go ask!

The above opening lyrical line by Nigerian afro pop star, Miss. Omawunmi Megbele is a line I love so much, and permit me to adopt it as I try to unearth the reason why Nigerians refused to forgive President, Goodluck, Ebele Jonathan, as he battle with how he is going to sail through come February’s presidential election in the prevailing unpalatable position he now found himself.
Why have Nigerians refused to forgive the President three years after? What has the president done so terribly that dries up the well of mercy against him within the Nigerian people?

We understand the plight of fellow Nigerians over there in the North East as members of the terrorist group, Boko Haram continue to throw their lives in unrest, killing, maiming, and destroying and shattering their peace, home and belongings, as they now become refugees in their own country. Schools had been shot for God knows how long, those that can afford it have send their wards overseas and outside the states to go and school and remain safe, others have to send their wards away from home to the streets as they now sell drugs in the water front area of Lekki phase1 in Lagos just to remain alive, not minding how they survive or fare over there. To them it’s better for their children to undergo police harassment and degradation, or still end up in prison as long as they remain alive than to be killed like their unfortunate friends, and brothers. Yes it’s not the president that created the monster, Boko Haram that is threatening us all, it’s an institutional/societal and a collective leadership failure over the years, but the bulk must stop on the president’s table as the leader at a time like this, and if doesn’t want this is the time for him to ship out or buckle up. It’s not the president that caused oil price to crash so low, but it was the president that removed fuel subsidy, a noble decision according to experts but wrongly timed and advised on new year day without pity on his friends, as he now have new friends away from those that didn’t had shoes like him. The number reason Nigerians refused to forgive him.

Having established this fact, I believe that in every institutional failing, while the leader must assume responsibility and can’t exonerate himself from the blame, somebody has to be identified and sacked within. And for bringing the president that was once loved, and voted for by majority of Nigerians to this sorry state of hate and disappointment within his once upon a time friends (Nigerians), the president should ensure that some people in his kitchen cabinet also take the internal fall, while he, the president dance naked in the market square and take his bashing publicly before all. And the people that should be penalized for so ill advising and bringing the president to this seemingly almost “lost course juncture” is not Reuben Abati, no, it’s not Doyin Okupe, nor Abba Muro, or Professor Rufai Alkali, Gulak, Jerry Gana, Tony Anenih, or Akpabio, Shema, Baba Jang. No it is not Isa Yuguda, but Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, the supervising Minister of the economy and finance, and her petroleum counterpart, Diezani Alison-Madueke. This two individuals should be held liable should the president failed to win the 2015 presidential election and clinch his second term mandate.
It was these two that pitch the president, whom prior to January,1st, 2012 was the darling and friend of the people because they thought since he didn’t had shoe, which might be the same story and the case with almost 85% of Nigerians, he should understand their plight in defending them, and implement policies that favours the masses, which the “evil”” foreign trained” “Aje butters” and “disconnected from the reality” fellows, who can’t find it anywhere in their pipers paradise that there could be people who still find it difficult to egg a living, because they couldn’t even come close to the 1$ a day living standard, which a group in America revealed over half of the population of the country lives on. Little wonder President, idle Parrot, Obasanjo immediately sacked her as the finance minister when that report came out, before President Jonathan returned her to come and advised him to give the Nigerian people a Greek gift of oil subsidy removal on a New Year day, which it was, still is and always would be the common masses that would bore the blunt of such unrealistic policies. And now again, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is at it again with her abracadabra telling us that our economy has improve, and grown to be the biggest in Africa, yet Mali, Sudan and Chad are adjudged to be a much more prosperous country than the giant of Africa, and the sixth oil producing country in the world.
What on earth do they tell the president, who had no shoe and bed and electricity to make him forget who he was, as he now acquires for himself private jet at almost every year bases, and budget a whopping 516 million naira this year and more in previous years for feeding and entertainment, while Nigerians groin under the heavy hand of poverty and economic hardship and demonic policies. What is going on here? Why are they not telling the President to reduce the cost of fuel, now that the product has crash worldwide, and countries, whose leaders knows that the nobility of leadership is in service to their people have reduced the price of the commodity for their people? What is stopping the finance minister from following suit? Mr President should know that these fellows are setting him and his regime up, and are courting a space for him in Nigeria’s history in the gloomy and dark side of the book.
The President should immediately sack the finance and the petroleum ministers, and if by the same good luck that had been working for him and conferring on him unmerited favours and such lofty height all these while he makes it for the second term, he should do otherwise and be his own man, and return to his friends, the ordinary people, from where he rose. Less I forget, let me not forget to let you know that federal roads, most especially the Benin Ibadan Express road which killed my friend MC Loph and many other fellow Nigerians has only been given attention under this regime from the 60s. The frame work for improve power sector has also been attended to, same with our agriculture, aviation, and many others. And if you don’t agree, travel round and see for yourself, like I do, not listening to the opposition who would never see anything good, even if it’s Jesus Christ that come and make everything beautiful.
God bless Nigeria
God bless and grant the President wisdom to know who his friends are.

Nairaland GeneralMtn Duping Nigerians And A Government That Is Careless:http://friendsofnija.blog by Tonway(op): 4:03pm On Dec 24, 2014
Jonathan should try defending Nigerians from little thing like this and see the love he’ll get come 2015.

With a none existing customer care where people can call and resolve complains:

The role of government everywhere in the world is to protect and make living condition of her citizens bearable, but our government, in the drive toward attracting foreign investors and attaining the vision of being one of the top twenty economies of the world are ending up attracting foreign defrauders that short changes her citizens, and agencies responsible to regulate and monitor the activities of the so call foreign investors looking the other way round. Little wonder we’re having a robust economy on paper with confusing figures that are not translating to improve living condition of our people, because MTN, the Chinese, Indians and the Lebanese through their free and unchecked dubious activities siphoned the money that would have improved our lives through illegal and dubious means to wherever they launder these funds, a practice that can never be attempted in their country by Nigerians doing businesses there. (We no blame una, na our careless government we go blame)

MTN call themselves communication giant, but in actual sense, they’re thieving and deceitful giant, and I await them to sue me for libel if they can, while I want to also inform await my suit and my fury in the coming days. I have seen lot of complains on line, on Naira land and lot of people, most especially illiterate Nigerians complain the same. If MTN is a responsible social responsible company, they would immediately stop this racket and commence investigation immediately.
Last week, after recharging my phone, I saw a prompting telling me to text free to 2020, and yes to 1010 and win some shits ranging from gen set and what have you. But on doing that, it went on to where they now said you can now win a car for N100, and at that juncture I stopped, having had my fingers burned sometimes ago with their free caller tune, which they ended up stealing my money for over six months before I could discontinue, despite texting stop to the short code they provided that one can text and stopped subscribing for something someone didn’t even subscribed for in the first place. From text for free, they systematically and dubiously started embezzling my money and denied me the use of my money till Monday, when I had to connect with whoever is managing their MTN’s twitter handle and I was told to send in my number, and subsequently told that I played the cash quest promo, which I denied, knowing I didn’t, and as am talking, the illegal deductions of my money is still on, that all I can do is to stop recharging, and you can imagine the inconvenience they’ve caused me!

While I might not want to lay the blame solely on the door steps of the foreign telecommunication thieving giant and others, just like we can’t blame blood thirsty Boko Haram whom they said are foreign fighters, but we would completely and majorly blame our fellow Nigerians, who are directing these criminals into the country with their activities, compatriots who works with these organisations’ legal departments, and corporate communications or PR departments, who should be in the right position to warn these unscrupulous elements who would come to this country and flaunt our laws, steal from our people and disrespect us all on acceptable corporate practices and the law of our land. For instance, the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has it in their stipulations that Customer deserve the right for protection, which they don’t insist these organisations adhere to the stipulations. (Provision of information enabling informed consumer choice as well as protection from misleading or inaccurate advertising and labelling-- CPC) But this is not the case with MTN and their misleading and ambushed promo, that won’t provide adequate information before they would start stealing from her unsuspecting customers. The laws are there, their legal department and others know this, and the regulatory bodies like NCC as well, but because they know this is Nigeria where anyone can get away with anything, even if it goes to trial, like in Aminu Oguche’s terrorism case, government officials or respective institutions, who are supposed to handle cases like these would bungle it, and advice these criminal foreigners to go ahead as far as their selfish interest would be accommodated.
Browsing through Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) the body regulating the activities of telecommunications operators in the country and this is what I found. It is stated there that MTN specifically and others are not to embark on any kind of promo, but do they insist they adhere?
Hear them:
“Also in February, 2014, following the failure of MTN Nigeria Communication Limited, Airtel Networks Limited and Globacom Nigeria Limited to meet the various Quality of Service (QOS) Key Performance Indicators (KPI), the Commission placed a ban on any promotions or bonus offers on these networks until further notice.
Our recent monitoring of compliance with the above regulatory obligations revealed various cases of glaring violations of both the dominance obligations and the ban on promotions by MTN Nigerian Communications Limited.
Following the Commission’s findings, MTN Nigeria Communication Limited was invited to provide its explanations for the observed violations. However, the explanations by MTN Communications Nigerian Limited were considered and found to be unacceptable.
Consequently, the Commission issued a FINAL WARNING to MTN Nigeria Communications limited and directed as follows:
• MTN should forthwith collapse the On-net and Off-net tariff on its network and strictly comply with all obligations placed on MTN under the 2013 Declaration of Dominance;
• MTN should notify the Commission of compliance with the act within 10 (Ten) days of receipt of the directive;
• MTN should forthwith discontinue and withdraw all unapproved promotion: including but not limited to “MTN 100% Daily On-net Promo; “MTN 200% recharge bonus”, On-net Bonus SMS Promo”, MTN All day WOW Pr-------------NCC
To be continue:
I advise everyone on MTN network to consider porting perhaps to Etisalat, which is better and more responsible than this disrespectful and criminal network

Nairaland GeneralInspector Emmanuel Ali, One Of The 7,000 Who Haven’t Bow Down To Baal by Tonway(op):
http://friendsofnija..com/

Inspector Emmanuel Ali, One Of The 7,000 Who Haven’t Bow Down To Baal (The Monster Of Corruption And The Roth) That Has So Eaten Into Our Country.

Once upon a time in Israel (in the bible) like in Nigeria, it was believed that everyone had sold their souls to Baal. And like OBJ, Elijah at that time boasted he was the only one who isn't corrupt, but was instantly corrected by God, the creator of the universe that he was either lying or not correct, He went on to correct him with un-disputable statistics that there were still 7,000 people who’d decided and chosen to free their souls and safe their integrity. Wish we have up to 7,000 in Nigeria! ego past jare! From 170million and still counting?

Going into the heart of where transparency international and other related civil rights groups and everyone in the country and the world beliefs is the head quarter of corruption (The Nigerian Police), I unearth a tale of a cop that should be an example of what a cop should be like in Nigeria. That either Inspector, Emmanuel Ali, of the Sabo division of the Lagos State Police Command consciously chose on his own volition to be different and do the right thing that can pass for a cop operation in this part of our world from the pack of the bunch that thrive in impunity and out-rightly soliciting to be corrupt, or a result from an on-going reform by the force that would soon lead to us seeing personnel’s our Nigerian police force, whom they say is your enemy (sorry your friend) start conforming with international accepted practice of their profession and what is expected of them from their fellow citizens whom they’re paid to serve, and not for the people to serve them, like our politicians. Where they would not ask you to pay money before they go and effect the arrest or invite the person you came to report, where they would not charge you exorbitantly for bail to release someone, on the road and every other negative practices the materialistic bug and epidemic that is eating into everyone in the country has driven them to. They say is workchop.

But not so with Inspector Ali, whom I went to report a case of someone who sold a malfunction phone to me, and refused me a refund of my money. Though the inspector didn’t know that one of his boys’d already squeezed something out of me, but he was able to make sure that neither the right of the complainant or that of accuse was violated. And though my money wasn’t refunded as I would’ve wanted, but he was able to extract a willing and convenience commitment from the phone seller when he is going to pay me. And going around among men of the police in Sabo, the testimonies they gave, and collaborated by many I could talk to that’d had dealings in the police station there in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, was one stamp of reliability, none vindictive, efficiency, transparent, fair, just, morally steadfast and love for his country and his profession.

And I ask if everyone, including you and me can adopt such approach to our work, and such dispositions toward people we deal with and our country, oh how beautiful the future is going to be? Less I forget, even when I went to thank him for the way he handled the case, he didn’t insist I should do that by wetting the floor, you know what I mean, even when I wanted to buy him a drink, he declined and simply replied “We’re here for you” How many police, how many workers of organisations, Bank, Fast foods and services joints, customer service operators, business owners and everyone still remember that they’re there because of the people they’re supposed to be serving?
Merry Christmas Nigeria!
Let someone say good about you.

PLOT:
The American government, feeling threatened by Nigeria’s potential growth and resources, came out with the game plan to annex and break our strength in diversity, predicted through their CIA, one of their most funded and respectable agency that come 2015, the geographical zone call Nigeria would stop to exist.
The CIA is one of America’s highly funded, reliable and credible underground investigative agency with records of successful bursting of syndicates, criminal gangs across the world and the toppling of dictators and countries standing on their way of consolidating and being the only country where things work and their quest to remain the world super power and police have turned their focus on Africa.
Lots of their operations and predictions and claims can be scientifically substantiated, reliable and have a high percentage of accuracy. And with their resources and personnel that give in their all, even if their claims were unfounded, lacking in basics and wouldn’t come past, they see to it and ensure they achieve their objectives so that their institutions would remain credible, and their country a one and only super power, with a thriving economy. They sow seeds that would bear fruits that would resemble their prediction through whatever means, including adopting immoral and shameful methods to destabilize others.
Most times to get their predictions to come to past, they wouldn’t want to be seen as the discord sowers, they would then need to recruit the locals that would through their actions and inactions bring to past their agency’s predictions and retain their credibility and supremacy at the expense and pains of others. Ask USSR, ask Japan, ask Germany, Afghanistan and the rest.
In this century, the focus is Africa, and Nigeria is the specific, and they’ve recruited Jonathan and told him
“Look Jonathan, you know you’re from the minority, and the sentimental odds are on you, we’re going to arm Abubakar Shekau through whatever means to kill your people, and all we want you to do is do nothing, absolutely nothing if you want to continue playing in our game.”
“Gen. Buhari, You’re a Muslim, from the North, all you and others from the ACF should do is to keep on screaming…
“We want our power back, we want our power back”
“Asari, yours is to keep threatening..
“If Jonathan is not allowed a second term!”
“OBJ, you, IBB and the other past leaders: yours is to lay a faulty foundation for incoming leaders to find it difficult or impossible to operate, after you’re done, keep on dancing shamefully in the market square and weep up sentiment against the government of the day until the bubble burst.
National Assembly and the Judiciary:
Your greedy national assembly, corrupt and selfish Judiciary and unpatriotic civil servants would be there stocking the embers of corruption, shameful judgement and defence of corrupt people and receiving of kickback and caring less about the people.
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala:
We’d trained you for this purpose to deceive the people on the state of your economy. Tell them the economy is working, growing and robust whereas, you’ll be implementing faulty policies that would lay more burden and hardship on the people. Make it completely impossible for the youth of your country to find it difficult to access job, frustrate their entrepreneurial initiatives, don’t border investing on infrastructure, more especially power, share the money to your elite, who were supposed to talk or protest, behave as if all is well and close and block your eyes and ears to the suffering and the hardship your people are going through.
We’ve found a role also for your pastors, Imams and all religious leaders; they’re all in on this.
Some people have been positioned to keep screaming and playing the Christian- Muslim card, while others are to keep screaming marginalisation and sounding the ethnic chants give no care about the country, but your personal interest.
“Doyin Okupe, see nothing wrong in Jonathans indecisiveness and passiveness to governance, in fact deceive and tell people that- that’s how Jesus Christ was. He wasn’t bordered with the ills and decay around him.”
“Allison Madueke, deliberately operate a petroleum policy and system that would allowed the military and criminal people to keep on stealing your crude oil, until what you have is total anarchy and orderliness”
“Alex Badeh, yours and Minimah and others that’d come before you are the continuous degrading of your military, don’t motivate your troops, and discourage them from attacking and fighting Boko Haram and being patriotic. And with all these in place and everyone playing his or her role, come 2015 we’ll once again remain in the accurate prediction and world god that orchestrate how things spins out around the world.
The construct is the imagination and deductions of the author base on his analysis of happenings and the role individuals are deliberately playing that seams detrimental to our country. And of all those mentioned elites and ruling class and others their names could make it up here, am sure they’re aware of all the ills befalling this country and the threat it’s facing. They’ve so make themselves rich that they can’t even feel the pains and the suffering of the masses. They know what to done, but they won’t.
God bless Nigeria.

In The fictional Novel, "The Haram In The Boko" (The Story of Terror And The Nigerian army, The Author went into the military barracks and captured a fascinating story he feels should be national unity story irrespective of how ugly.

Hear him in this excerpt from the novel---

The usually derogatory remarks made toward some tribes, religions, people and others that often result to the many fracases that has now so polarized and set the once united and promising country on the brink of disintegrating in to unimaginable and uncountable pieces should be sternly and deliberately discouraged. Names like Wilagar, Idongesit, Krukrubor, Murbo, Alade, Odumegwu, Ajara, Gogobri, Gambo, Abubakar, Owolese, Balijir, Dukule,Nampin Gotom, Nanji, Ngiang, Ndafantana, Tangale, Lunguda, and many more unimaginable senseless sounds that could mean nothing, but mockery and disdain to many and yet mean the world to others at the same time, are common in the barracks, as we relate, survive, laugh, get silly, fight and disagree, enter in to an alliances for a course and dissolve and above all, always preserve the sanctity, unity, and integrity of the nation they are proud of and ready to share with others without selfishness and greed. The ecosystem that exists in the barracks, most especially a military barracks is second to none.
Some of the stories of happenings in the barracks are the stories that should be told no matter how ugly as part of a national story for national integration and harmony. Not coup and overthrow of government’s stories and soldiers who looted the country’s wealth and thwarted the country’s development, but the regular, human stories that trespass in those enclaves call barracks. And this is the story am going to tell.

Here is another Excerpt-----

This morning, still basking in the euphoria of the military part one order and the announcement of an outside peace keeping operation in Sierra Leone which kind of offers what to talk about among military dependents, most especially in this holiday. The boys’d congregated early to see if there was anything they left out last night when unexpectedly, another drama suddenly unfolded, a typical daily barracks occurrence you’ll say.
We rarely knew what happened, all we saw when we turned was Mama'n Ibrahim locked in a heated disagreement with Michael, and her claws clucked tightly on his shirt’s collar.
Michael is an idiot, and he lacked respect for elders, and only God knows what he might've done or said to this peace loving, free spirited and accommodating woman this morning to have aggravated her temper this much.
"Kai! Kutumma’n Mburo ubanka" She cursed, tightening the grip that made Mike find it difficult to breathe, but for his pride he was still threatening to deal with the woman, despite the obvious fact that he was dying.
"Madam I'll slap you oo" He managed to threaten in between his choked breath, which even annoyed the woman the more.
"Islapi mi, you small boi islapi mi?" she demanded in anger with her passable English, as she kept jacking and shoving him back and forth violently.
"Okay mi islapi you" She promised him, landing him some not too pleasant hot slaps, still not letting him out of her grip.
I love and hate Michael, my friend at the same time. Though we sort of have mutual respect for each other when it comes to mental prowls, as we're both on the A list pupil from the very first day he joined my class in primary four, after his father was transferred from the Armored training school, Bauchi a few years ago to our base. I hate and seldom do some things with Mike because nothing is a secret with him, and I love him because of his extreme extroverted nature which comes with some social privileges and penalties as well, not as if I was lacking in my social grading myself, but just sometimes Michael’s carefree nature can get things done and can also cause you some things valuable or still get you in to trouble just like today. So it’s up to you to decide.
Michael, whose nick name was Boy Alinko, christened after a character in a popular rested comic magazine "Papa Ajasco" because of his hair cut which is the exact replica of the Ajasco character in the rested comic magazine is a trouble to anyone he's involved with either in the class, football team, or anywhere. If he's not singing Bobby Brown's "Baby we have something in common" and moon walking, he'll be looking for whom to dance with without exception, or touching what he's not supposed to touch anytime he comes to your house. A hyper active fellow I sometimes wished he was my father's son.
Like today he'd just started his dance in the crowed of busy bodies before he suddenly stepped on the conservative Muslim mama'n Ibrahim, and when she voice her pain, he tried asking her for a dance as if she was his babe, which pissed her up and made her feel abused and disrespected. Michael was actually maiming a Keith Sweat's "Can we talk for a minute" when he landed faultily on Mama’n Ibrahim which am sure wasn’t deliberate.
