god blessand always be with you that dude is unteachable and he is an engineer that is why i do not believe most of the engineering stuffs i read in car section cos i will research Thanks lomomike: Gazzuzz, auhansen, Camaro, adanny, Siena et al come see kazeem. I wish trac was here.
Abeg who ever did this to this chuna1985 didn't do him any good.
Back to basis. @ bolded, no electric motor spin any coil in any generator. If an electric motor was there then they would be no need. What you have is an electronic induction for a generator to work.
There's an electro magnet fixed to an axle and a large coil of conductive material (copper) wound round the electromagnet but in fixed position. As this copper+magnet works and rotates, there's a current generated.
Hope you now know the simple principle about how generator works. And this is a Michael Faraday's invention.
Go back to physics bro. |

meaning? why do we have funny fellows here ...I am just tired of lecturing people here...I think I will be charging people cos it is tiresome to explain and explain and explain The A/C compressor pulls power from the engine wasting some gas, the effect appears to be minimal in modern cars. The A/C can lower the fuel efficiency from 10 to 20 percent depending on the type (and age) of your vehicle. Using the air conditioning does require your vehicle to burn more fuel, but it is more efficient than driving with the windows down. Putting the windows down is not a good idea. Putting the windows down tends to increase drag on most cars, canceling out any measurable gain from turning the A/C off. The increased drag of the car means your vehicle will have to work harder, because of the change in the aerodynamics. Therefore, open windows cause your car to burn more fuel. If your considering fuel economy, it is okay to use your vehicle’s air conditioning. Yet, it should be used sensibly. If you’re driving around town, or in city traffic, then you’re better off leaving your windows open. For highway driving, roll the windows up and turn the air conditioning on. It’s advisable to roll the windows down for city driving, because speeds lower than 30 - 40 mph vehicles consume less fuel, then using the A/C at those speeds. Using the A/C at highway speed has no appreciable effect on fuel economy compared to rolling down the windows. IGNORANCE IS BLISS i now believe Everybody is talking about fuel consumption, windows up or down, and aerodynamics; if it's hot, we all want to use our air conditioning. Running an a/c is work; work takes energy; yes, maybe less than the old a/c units from the 60's and 70's but still it is work for the motor. Nothing is free; yes the lights use energy too, how about that debate? I know the alternator is making the light but what do you think is turning the alternator? And though you may not know it, more load on an alternator makes it harder to turn. Guess what's turning it; the motor; nothing is free. Much more importantly is making sure your car temperature can handle the additional strain of operating the a/c during the very hot weather. Gas is not cheap, neither is rebuilding the top end of your motor because you overheated it with the additional strain of running the a/c. A/C on, watch the temp gauge closely, if it climbs too much, turn it off, if it doesn't, leave it on and be cool, even for a few more . chuna1985: Please stop using common sense for engineering explanations, ignore those sounds u hear wen u on fridge as well.....Lol.
An electric motor spins the coil rapidly @ a fixed pace n the coil inside the electric motor generates electrical energy from the mechanical energy generated (Energy conversion) Now no matter the number of electrical units u leave on, the coil can only dissipate what it Generates......U basically don't need more fuel to power the coil to carry more load.
Please don't browse for answers on this, u might meet people like u online n get wrong info. Ask any experienced mechanical or electrical engineer directly.
Or u can run the experiment urself. Get ah pass ma neighbour, put 1 litre of fuel on it, also on all appliances....... Repeat same with 1 litre with very things on, or u can off everything, The fuel will finish @ the same time (give or take some minutes)
Bro please, electricity from ur generator is directly borough about from coil, it has zero direct connection with fuel. |
Politics › Capital Oil, Cabal And Grounding Of Nigerian Economy by tonychristopher(op): 9:15am On May 27, 2015 |
A man is not recognised by how many lives touched him but how many lives he touched. The fuel scarcity saga made me to recall the advise that my father used to tell us the sons” in any situation you find yourself say your mind irrespective whose ox is gored” after watching the Channels TV interview with Ifeanyi Uba the MD of Capital oil and the recent saga of fuel subsidy, scarcity and madness I have come to realise that there are few good men left maybe handful of them.
Capital oil boss was frank, plain and unambiguous and undiplomatic in his submission (which I like because,The truth is always bitter ) as a stakeholder, player and patriot in the Nigerian economic space with emphasis in petroleum marketing sector. We would analyse his nuances, postulation and charisma.
Herd or Flock Mentality
Uba was very clear that the strike that grounded the African biggest economy to a halt was caused by some few disgruntled elements in oil marketing sector. Having the biggest oil storage facility in Nigeria, he was never consulted and as a founding member of association he felt that it isn’t reasonable and rational to embark on a strike after receiving subsidy payment some months back. This his position did not go well with some marketers who have smaller storage facility. To me personally This strike issue is the base of Nigerian fall… it seems that some people can’t do without Unionising the whole eco space, not that union isn’t a good thing but if not checked it kills competition and forms a monospolistic and cartelization of the economy. A situation where a petty tomatoes seller forms a union in the market to control the prices of tomatoes and thereby not allowing the market forces (DEMAND AND SUPPLY) to determine how much a tomatoes should be sold is anti competition. A situation where one can’t sell below a certain price isn’t competition but cartelization. This bring up laziness and indolence without having a good way to retain customer. This is my personal analysis of Petroleum products marketing. He made it clear that due to some few elements in the sector, they have decided to control the market without considering the plight of the masses.
Business acumen,humanist and patriotism
Uba made the country to understand that after asking those embarking on strike their reason which they couldn’t give any satisfactory answer he decided to open his storage facility for some reasons • People are dying in hospital daily due to lack of fuel to power critical hospital equipment and couldn’t watch Nigerian die just because of few disgruntled elements • From business perspective, it is pointless to store PMS(Fuel) in a depot for more than a week due to its volatility and evaporative nature. The fuels will definitely evaporate and it doesn’t make sense. • Holding the government at jugular and crippling the economy isn’t the best way to go about subsidy issues and there were no pre warning strike so he has to go against the wishes of union
Royalty, Loyalty and Bravery
Bravery and Loyalty was displayed in the interview. Uba took responsibility of his action when he was accused of been playing politics…he made it clear that his part in TAN (transformation Agenda of Nigeria) isn’t a government effort and challenged any person that said that he was paid by Government to do such stating that whatever structures, projects and facilities in TAN is the work of Jonathan and he doesn’t have any regret whatsoever over his action. To me that is bravery considering the fact that this is the period where many people are talking ill of President G.Jonathan and dumping PDP. This has shown that we still have brave men left and to me personally this is the stuff leaders are made for. Not chameleons jumping from one party to another or fair weather politicians.
Way out of Subsidy
Uba took the same position I took when they were having jamboree and carnival in Ojota in the name of Subsidy Protest….he made a categorical submission that PMS should be fully deregulated and allow people that understand importation to handle it. He made a postulation that , the market forces should determine the prices of Petroleum commodities and not having priced fixed by government. This will bring availability of the products and price stabilization after the equilibrium price must have been reached. He opined that there should be modular refineries in states and individuals should be encouraged to build refineries instead of people in some quarters blocking their efforts to build refineries and allowing only one ”person” who has no knowledge of petroleum product marketing to build refinery in Nigeria. To me this is masterpiece. Heaving a sight of relieve still doesn’t show that we should shout “UHURU” the earlier we deregulate the petroleum product sector and allow private firms like CAPITAL OIL to build refineries the better for the country. We cannot be paying billions to some group of people in name of subsidy while infrastructure suffers. |

ovation232: I need advise and ways I can go about it from my Igbo brothers and sisters,i and my Igbo girl are seriously in love with each other since we met,the desire now is for me to marry her,as I have d financial and mental muscle to adequately provide for her,as God blessed me early in life. The challenge I have now is that the lady's family do not want their daughter to marry outside Nnewi or east. The family find me as a nice person and matured dude for their daughter, however they do not want her to marry from another tribe, not minding the choice of their daughter who is ever ready to go all the way with me. My girlfriend in question was posted to Kano recently to serve her NYSC,however she is relocating to my home state of Ondo, so she can learn Yoruba culture the more and she feels southwest is a peaceful zone for her to serve without issues.I have done my homework to finally convince my parents of marrying outside Yoruba tribe and they are now comfortable with her and have accepted her after the intervention of our family pastor. I need advise from my Igbo brothers on how best I can convince her parents that their daughter is in safe hands and get their blessings.A couple of my friends in back in Lagos are married to Igbo ladies and they are growing from strength to strength. I speak Igbo language now fairly having lived in various places in East for the past seven years of working as a auditor with one of Nigeria's reputable banks.I admire the Igbos and am an ambassador of the hospitality of Ndigbo. Please help a brother,am so confused right now. Culture › Re: What An Elderly Man Told Me About Choosing A Wife by tonychristopher: 1:23pm On May 26, 2015 |
when you mean culture what do you mean are u a non igbo trying to marry into igbo culture try and be specific maka ihe o gwara o kahara: After answering my question regarding why they have two different marriage lists:the one for outside suitors and the other for suitors who are from the village. The elderly man called me and said," my son listen and listen good. The reason you must marry from within your culture is "Maka adighi amama Onicha gwara Obosi" (I.e.in case of necessities Onitsha told Obosi). What I gathered the man means can be summarised thus: If I picked a wife from within my culture my wife who already must have been in the know about the dos and don'ts of our culture might not offend them. However,if in any likely event she happened to break the rules her own people would understand that yes their own daughter actually transgressed. But this might not be the case if our cultural backgrounds differred. This elderly man went ahead to cite an instance in Igbo culture where a woman is forbidden to kill a fowl or a goat. And I asked him why. Then the man said, because if women were empowered by traditions to kill anything. Then they would not only kill and eat up a full chicken while their husband was away in the farm, but would thereby become experts in killing and so could kill their husband at will. Interesting."Papa", I called, " could that explain the reason why you placed taboo on gizzard, stating that women must under no circumstance eat it in order for you men to checkmate them?" Papa is yet to answer this question. Now do you believe, judging by this story, that men have been deceiving women since the world was young and innocent? |
