We've never had an inter communal clash despite being so close. When fulanis invaded our bushes, Orogun people chased them from Orogun to Amai, and Amai people joined hands till we crushed the invaders.

My both great grandmothers were from Amai. My great grandfathers from Orogun. My great grandmother was the Onwai during her life time being the oldest woman then. When she passed on, she was taken back to Amai despite marrying an Orogun man to be buried. Till date we have a family house there and Amai was our favorite holiday spot. We went to hunt snails there during the holidays because Amai people didn’t really eat snails.

If the OP isn't being mischievous, perhaps he'd have also said many Amai Ukwani people speak Orogun Urhobo too (ours is deeper than the usual one just as okpe Urhobo) because as I said, we are very much intertwined.
