You need ALL your qualifications evaluated.... WAEC, BSC, MSC.

neyojust4love:
Thank you for your response.
I want to know if BSc and MSc is submitted for evaluation, will it not affect my admission for PhD?
Thank you.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by topeolu1: 7:08am On Jul 08, 2018
Sorry for that. But there is no other way around it. Someone I know did his own and has is admission plus study visa for PhD too.
neyojust4love:
Good morning house,
Please I need your assistance.
Someone is trying to help with my SAQA to go for my PhD in SA and I gave her all the certified coloured photocopy of my certificates ( certified from the school), but on reaching SA, she told me that the fee for the first certificate has increased from R1000 to R1600 and subsequent certificates increased too from July 1st.
She also told me that SAQA won't be accepting the school certified copies again and I need to go and do black and white photocopy and certified in court.
And also, with the increment in fee, she will be submitting only BSc and MSc certificates to SAQA.
Right now, I'm so so confused, please help me out.
If she submit only the two, will it not affect my admission?
Do I need to go through all these?
Is there alternative way for these?
Thank you.

It doesn't matter so long as you don't exceed the 30days. Just have sufficient proof of funds and accommodation booked for the number of days you intend to stay. I was almost sent back cos of hotel booking for 1night while I was to stay for a week! Immigration in SA don't respect anyone, they have sent back an American for similar issues before. It doesn't matter to them
j132c:
That's what I'm saying. They said "each visit not to exceed 30 days"
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by topeolu1: 9:07pm On Jun 23, 2018
Hello, congratulations on your visa. PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR VISA VERY WELL, THE NUMBER OF DAYS YOU CAN STAY IS CLEARLY STATED. FORGET THE 30 DAYS VALIDITY! So you don't run foul. My first visa had only 15days at a single visit even though I had 90days visa. Second was 30days/6months

j132c:
Pls I was given 30days single entry visa. How long do you recommend I stay as a first time traveller?

Hello people, kindly critique my application.
Planning a personal vacation without the family for my birthday week. Will share my birthday here with my family and travel next day for 7days.
1. Budget is about GBP1350 (hostel + breakfast 104, London pass with oyster card for 6days 199, flight 500, living expenses/shopping etc. 550k)
2. Employed with salary of 390k excluding allowances paid 3ce a year (evidence in my acct & pay advice). Acct balance 800k+; $900 Tbills & fixed deposits of 3m. Stated regular monthly spend is abt 200k considering wife and 2kids. Salary Acct balance should be abt 800k when submitting application.
3. Ties: married with kids, employed + letter from employer, own house
4. Had previous US refusal in 2017 summer and later travelled to SA instead with the family. Also had UK refusal in January 2018 for travel with family during Easter. Refusal says inconsistent credits & swing in my acct went as low a N300 2months to application cos I moved all funds at that time to term deposit since I was expecting some others wt which I applied; even though evidence was provided. I have learnt from this and no other funds has entered my salary acct nor swing gone below 400k December till date.
5. Recently returned from a 5 day travel to SA 2weeks ago.

Kindly advise.

Which consulate is that? We've been submitting in Abuja without any booking? Or I'm I getting something wrong here??
lanyomex:
You cannot book and submit same day ooo. You book and come back like next 7 days. If someone wants to book for you. The person will have to go with your data page and book on your name.

Thank You.

Dear all, kindly ensure you have your hotel booking complete for the number of days you intend to stay in SA. i almost had issues at entry point cos I booked one night to be sure I have a good hotel, else I'll change. The officer had issues with it and sent me to the 'red line' inside this cold weather. Not first visit though. I stopped explaining to him, listened to all his comments with noted as my only response, God intervened. He advised that I should not do next time, and he let me go.....

Hi,

The only thing saqa evaluates are certificates. By implication, any certificate you submit MUST be backed transcripts. Hence any certificate for which you do not have the transcript cannot be evaluated and there is no need submitting same. You have to register and submit online first on saqa website and then follow the process there.
ottycan:
please i want to apply to SAQA for my degree evaluation. my questions are;
1. what documents am i supposed to send
2. is it compulsory i send my transcripts too? cos they are not ready yet.

the main reason im applying for the SAQA evaluation is for postgraduate studies. can i also include other options like general employment and professional registration as the purpose of qualification?

TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by topeolu1: 10:21pm On May 03, 2018
You may have to look at Universities of technology as the conventional ones will not accept that rating for Msc....... From experience. The reason why they rate Nigerian degrees as such is still not clear.
Silvabae:
Hi
Please I need assistant with my school admission application, I just got my Saqa evaluation for my degree, Nqf 7. I want to apply for MSc in any of the universities in Cape Town. Can I get assistance so I can get it right. Thanks looking forward to a response.

But why did you say not to use booking.com?

I just got my visa extended using same? I queried this comment of don't use booking.com. is it a directive from the embassy? Vfs would have said so either. Let's reconfirm and be sure please.

Thanks

samuelzion:
Don't use booking.com
You need to book directly with the hotel.

I decided not to comment on your post till I get a response to my application. I got my visa renewal today for 6months instead of the earlier 3months.
Sometimes it's better to keep your data instead of posting things that don't edify. You mean everyone with delays did something wrong during the previous visits? I got in touch with a contact at the embassy who said they had a lot of back logs, actually confirming people's posts about delays here. Imagine an application submitted 16/03 and actual visa issued 03/04? Thank God for people like Jsegskenny whom we have been in touch and encouraging one another. I'm sure he'll get a good response to his too. Please, always ponder before you post!
Frankdavid8:
Nobod. Only you know what you did in your first visit that’s making them to delay your second.

Where did you apply? I applied in Abuja??
Jsegskenny:
Frank Davids sorry about the prolonged delay. My application processing is already more than the official ten working days limit now, and nothing yet visit Visa too

Seems visa processing is quite slow lately. Applied for a visit visa since 16th of this month and haven't got any reply. This is my second visit though. Anyone with similar experiences

Good morning people, I have read a couple of posts here saying hotel reservation on booking.com is no longer allowed for SA visa. Is that an official position from the High Commissionhuh I recently submitted my second tourist visa application, though awaiting response to my application anyway. I thought vfs would have said something about it if it's so? Methinks??
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by topeolu1: 6:12am On Feb 21, 2018
Was that your first application before the 5years?
Menakay:
Applied for 6 months visa last year and was issued in May to expire in early November 2017. Travelled in May and spent just 10 days and went back to UK again in October to spend 2 weeks before the visa expired. Applied for 5 years visa January 24th 2018 visa was issued 3 weeks after.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by topeolu1: 6:22am On Jan 25, 2018
Good morning Justwise &co. I wish to provide feedback that my application with my family was unsuccessful. The ECO based his conclusion on the fact that I had a low balance of N300 at some point and some credits into my account months back which he wasn't comfortable with. Surprisingly, he acknowledged my cover letter and other financial instruments which proofed more than sufficient, but failed to take it to account. He only emphasized on my salary account whereas I have worked at a senior level for over 8years with justifiable savings in other accounts submitted and we'll explained in my cover letter. That said I think I should proceed to an alternative destination for our Easter vacation. That was what I did when we were refused for US last year. Or do you think reapplying would be the right thing to do. I don't want anything that creates impression of desperation......
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by topeolu1: 2:17am On Oct 31, 2017
Good morning,

Thanks for the information on the UK visa processes. I have a few questions as regards my application for my family and I.

1. We intend to visit UK sometimes in March, 2018. Our plan is to submit the application in late December or January. Hope this is OK.
2. We had a US refusal under section 214b last summer after which we proceeded to SA for our family vacation. Will the refusal affect our chances in any way? I believe it's appropriate to declare the refusal right?
3. I am sponsoring the 10day trip for my wife kids 5&1 and myself. Will a budget of 2.5m be considered sufficient i.e Abt £5,200. Hope this will be OK against an annual pay in excess of 8m excluding other allowances.
4. My organisation operates a staggered payment policy i.e pays Abt 390k monthly and others at different times of the year. How do I input this figure under total monthly income and explain the difference paid at other times.
5. When filling the form; how do I state amount available for the trip for my family members? I'm I to state the £5,200 in every of the application or divide it across the four of us. Again how does it relate to the part that ask how much a third party will be giving you if someone else is sponsoring part of your trip?
6. What should the accommodation read for everyone since we are only use one accommodation. Should it be nil for others, then I put the actual value in mine.
7. How do we tie or make reference to our separate applications that we are applying as a family?
8. Is it appropriate to include copies of property docs in this type of application to further proof ties? If OK, what would be required, estate offer letter, agreement, payment receipt etc.

Ok thanks.

This is noted for the future.

Hello topeolu1 -

Prior international travel is one of many factors that we consider in evaluating an applicant's ties. If you are unsure about whether a question applies to you or not, such as in your example of a relative, it is better to disclose the information than to withhold it.
TravelRe: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by topeolu1: 7:27am On Oct 08, 2017
Good day team,

Please I stumbled on this page and noticed it could be of help on earlier enquiry to the support desk with no response yet.

My family and I applied for a visitor visa to visit the United States last summer for a vacation. This was however not successful as the Consular said we were not qualified at the time and passed a blue slip which wasn't specific about the reasons we were found wanting.

That said, we immediately applied to South Africa and upon visa approval, we proceeded there for our vacation. We took this decision partly because of time constraints in reapplication process since we were not sure exactly why we were refused and again since what we wanted was to go on vacation, choosing an alternative destination that would offer a pleasant experience seemed right in that circumstance.

Upon returning from summer in South Africa, I have been doing a lot of reviews as to why our application was not granted based on our submissions.
1. I am financially capable to undertake the trip with my family. My workplace wrote to that effect, though recently joined in January but with similar work experience spanning about 9years.
2. I am married with two kids and wife also works as a lecturer.
4. We've had limited travel experience though and planned this as a dream vacation to New York. My wife and I only travelled to Ghana for our honeymoon. This information was provided to the consular.
5. I don't have any immediate relative in the United States. However, my mother's step sister (of a different father) is a legal resident there. My answer to the relative question was 'No' since I am not a direct relative of hers.

My thoughts about our refusal were;
1. Could it be possibly because we've had limited travel experience, or
2. My answer to the relative question being 'No'.
3. Possibly, there are other factors.

Please I will like to know the role:
1. Travel experience plays in the decisioning process
2. Would my mother's step sister qualify as a relative in the circumstance described above. Our visit is not connected to her neither was she aware of our travel plans.

The above information was the basis of my earlier enquiry via email. I have tried to modify my mail enquiry considering this is a public page but still provided all the elements of information therein.

While I understand you don't provide comments on specific cases, I do hope I can still get your guidance to help in the future.

Many thanks and keep up the good work.

Warm regards.
