Wrong advice please.... He can add his spouse, post ITA, provided any addition to the application does not make his score goes below the CRS under which he was invited. He is good to go and submit as the spouse addition will still leave him at 470. phemmy26: |
Case analyst said my letter of employment and reference letter issued by HR had conflicting dates. I guess the date I noted i would resume on my offer letter when I accepted it could not hold cos of family issues and the final date I later picked happened to be a public holiday so that sort of looked like a conflict and that was my pry NOC. The analyst completely omitted the other employment reference letter in CIC format. All I did was to attach emails I had with the HR of my company when I was doing the onboarding process to show what transpired and refer them to the pages in docs submitted showing what analyst was looking for but omitted in error. For POF, I liquidated the Tbills and presented statement of account straight up Comoteye: |

Please go for your appointment on Monday regardless of public holiday. If you get there and they are not working, they will reschedule you. I witnessed one of the holidays last year when they worked and just chopped all the monies of those who didn't show up. They had to pay another fee for appointment. They claimed, they never sent any message they won't be working. VFS is run by these Asian guys and you know how they are with business and money..... Just my thoughts. Renee25: |
It depends on the registration status of the supermarket with corporate affairs commission CAC. If it was registered as a Limited liability company - LTD, you go to FIRS. If it was registered as a business name or enterprise OR you are just trading in your individual name, you go to your state inland revenue service or Tax authorities. Regards. jany: |

You already have a good command of English Language. I suppose the issue here is CONCENTRATION - within and without the text and speech. Increase your practice before you register for any further exams and be sure you max scores at practice test. God is on your side... AuntyKoko: |

Noted. Thank you. It's clear we still don't understand what immigration applications are all about. Emigration is a privilege and at the discretion of the approving authority. This has nothing with being a Nigerian. Have people not created a thread here to address transcripts delay at UNILAG? It's your right to have your transcripts process because you have graduated from the school. I threatened legal action against my school when they claimed they couldn't find my results even when the admitted my name is on their lists. It's entirely different, that's why I laughed when some said its a defeatist mindset. I fight battles but I choose them wisely. I have it on good authority that they are not running this to rake in as much fees. The priority is what you add to the economy when you get there. That's why they are willing to refund you if you withdraw your application before a decision. If I must intervene here, any change sought to this process should be via the Canadian parliament. What happens to getting an MP to sponsor a bill to address this. Even at that it's complicated. When we say there's no information, the response you'll likely get is that you have a portal that tells you your application stage, however how inaccurate it might be. The process of approving these applications, by their nature are meant to be shrouded in some "official secrecy", especially the security risks that new immigrants are viewed as. As to why certain demographics enjoy higher approval rates, your guess is as good as mine. We are the third highest population in EE, yet how many of our brothers take up employment with ircc..... I can go on....... I have nothing against what others choose to do, I just think it should be moderated. Regards. ifevictor: |

Reach out to @Johnnybravo1990 and @wasseynewest Regardless of what you read, leant OR are taught, be calm and believe in yourself first that you can do it.... That's the key. Some passed once, why not you? Trice2: |
This is not true. If you follow ircc on twitter you will see they operate on a bureacratic level that even PR in Canada are complaining. They take their time to process applications wither PR, PRTD, ETA etc. Yes, they have suggested timelines but it's not cast. There's a caveat it keeps changing. Comparing AVO to OVO will not work as they are staffed differently according to them and they have different priorities. I understand processing PR applicantions is not the main priority of any VO. It's additional. They have economic, political and other interests they pursue first. If it weren't, they should be happy making more money from these fees we paid! It's gruelling, even for me clocking 8 months today; but I know this too shall pass.... Somaris: |
Dear @johnnybravo1990 , I observe with studied silence the way some of us display some exuberances on forum like this. Maturity sometimes take a lot of things away. People don't understand what this journey entails. It's a privilege and not a right. How do you force a man to open the gate to his house for you even though he sent you an invite to his party? I joined this platform since the days of the oldies - @Ifeoma77 etc and I'm careful what I throw here and there except it's useful. I'm 8 months post AOR today and I still have my peace. What can I do? Worry more? Nooo. I noticed you display similar maturity in your post and engagement helping people with ielts issues et al. I'd love to but my schedule will not. On a last note, people should note these threads are being monitored by VOs of countries of interest! That's why you see MODS hunting down those posting rubbish and scam. I personally read a thread where US visa officers in Nigeria barged into a thread and apologized for barging in and responded to a guy who says he was looking for Yankee visa bla bla bla. Guess what, the officer apologized for barging into the thread and said they've seen his post on another thread where he said once he gets a top notch visa, he won't come back to Naija. He ended by saying, if they could see through his intent on Nairaland, the same way the VO at the interview window will see through his lies. This is just to underscore the point they monitor various fora. It's a US visa thread and I'll try and search for it again. Sometimes in life, good things takes time and everyone has their path to take. That someone got to Canada before you doesn't mean they will do better than you and vice versa. Our path may look alike, our destinations are different Patience is a virtue! johnnybravo1990: |
A big congratulations sister! See you soon on the other side when Ottawa releases us..... Godspeed! ladymarshall: |
I can't see a lot of managerial or supervisory roles in this reference letter. You will need a preponderance of that to claim 0122 safely. However, you can cross check with 6235 again for best fit. Regards. KayLayChi: |
It's also possible. Does your former colleague have any evidence s/he worked there? By way of his own payslips, ID card or business card? You need to consider all these even though it will still be under notary, but plain sheet Phaytie: |
This may not be sufficient. You may need to get a staff there who is familiar with your JD while serving to provide additional reference for you stating all your duties performed on plain sheet and get this letter notarized. S/he to attach his business card and/or staff ID. Add this to what you have from your erstwhile boss Phaytie: |
You're welcome. Happy you got it. Good speed! TITILOLA88: |
It may be worth paying attention to or may be nothing, depending on what was raised for review - you have not mentioned the exact comments of the officer. The senior officer may pass it if it's nothing serious. Did she include a detailed statement of account for the MF showing account number, her name, transaction history etc. or is it only the letter from ARM she used? Sometimes the first reviewers just raised it to watch their own backs too. However, if her mind is not at ease, she can liquidate and present funds in liquid form in her account. We should note that with the recent happenings and attention focused on Nigeria and Nigerians, our apps will be strictly appraised. Hence, I'm not surprised with this sudden extra scrutiny by most VO's. After all, others have had their ppr with these same docs. bimbok2: |
That's the alpha or alphanumeric characters you get when you do a reservation. Book as though you want to reserve the ticket and not online payment or choose hold your fare option, if available. Then copy out the code and proceed to their office TITILOLA88: |
Hi @titilola, do your booking or reservation online and get your Pnr. Then take it to the nearest Lufthansa office or the airport for payment. I don't know where you are, Lagos or Abuja. But if Abuja, I can link you with their staff who will guide you further on what to do. TITILOLA88: |
Based on this post from @ednut1, please do not use stanbic money market funds letter in isolation without the account statement. ednut1: |
Hi @gretop; you will win this. I'm very sure and my faith is strong. Do liquidate as you're doing and update them with it in addition to what you've already done with an appeal. God will favour you! The VO must have fixed his thoughts on US mutual funds when appraising this considering that you're based there. gretop: |
If it's Naija MF, then he will get his groove back. I thought it was from the US. However, it's clear the VO was in the wrong cos I know several people who have their ppr with the same stanbic MF. Stanbic MF is not the MF type your see in the US or Canada. Their dollar variant comes close to that though, cos of the terms of liquidation. Let everyone planning to us stanbic MF dollar fund take note. You can't liquidate at will without penalties ednut1: |
Check my post again ednut1: |
Hi gretop, you see why I requested for your refusal letter? The VO never said any word about not being able to use mutual funds. As a matter of fact he never mention any mutual let alone funds. What he said was that he is not convinced the funds can be moved to Canada which is the regulation. That takes me to the type of mutual funds you used. Is it from the USA, if I'm right? It's not the same with what obtains here in Naija, especially the type we do with stanbic. Mutual funds are derivatives which is tied to other treasury indices and are subject to vagaries of the market. Hence, they are not as liquid as term deposits, though high yielding. Stanbic knowing that Nigerians don't have time for all those treasury nonsense only came up with a variation of this product under this name and xtics. That is why we can liquidate our stanbic mutual funds and get credit same say. Ordinarily, in the US or Canada, it's not always so. Like @ladymarshall said, you should not have resent the MF you did again to your explanation since you already have sufficient funds in your account, because that is the crux of the matter. So many people have used MF from stanbic and got their ppr, so MF is not the problem, perhaps the type and clime it's coming from. I join you in faith for a positive review on the strength that you now have sufficient funds in your personal account without even factoring the MF in contention. It will end in praise by God's grace. gretop: |
Can you blot out your personal information and share the refusal letter here. It's better to know exactly what to address beyond just adding funds gretop: |
I think you didn't understand his question. He has three names ABC. On some docs it's ABC while it's BAC on others. This is not a mismatch as there is no clearly defined way of arranging names. Ircc rules which I read recently is clear that family or surnames must be constant while the rest is regarded as "Given names". If "C" is your surname, it's stays. If "BC" is your given names it stays, it doesn't have to be BC or CB. We are the ones that separates first name from middle names, they are all given names. Where the affidavit may be useful is if using only surname and one given name and it's prone to misrepresentation, then fine. I'm sure our official documents which evidences our names, international passport, also confirms those are given names. ladymarshall: |
This is not a mismatch. It's okay. No organisation determines name arrangement on documents and ircc perfectly understands that. So long as the docs did not specifically state that your surname is your middle name or first name, there's nothing wrong with it. Just make sure all names appear. Sometimes only 2 is even needed by some organisations and it doesn't invalidate your identity. Name arrangement is purely for administrative convenience padix: |
I don't think so Bro! You can not use "was" when the date will show you were still in the employment of the company...... If you get your letter before resignation, it has to be "is" else the other way Topsmamen: |
Your best time, from experience, to reach them is when they just resuming for the day, which is around 12.50pm - 1pm Nigerian time or around that time. That will be around 8am over there. They open at 7.30am EST. Wait time will usually be around 10minutes. The highest I've waited was 20minutes cos I called 4pm Nigerian time. Sashafiercediva: |
