Dear good people of Canada, this is just an observation, and my opinion, from trends of prospective Nairalanders seeking info going back to the previous parts of this section. It can be taken or let go! Situations where people come to the forum to seek help or advice and the contents of the write ups are loaded with either outright or laced denigration of their spouse/partner is not the best. Yes, we have challenges, yes our partners may be sometimes 'uncooperative', but that is still not a sufficient grounds to wash these valued persons here in public, wittingly or not. I have been through this myself and its not something I cannot relate with. However, the love we profess, if its still there, should not be taken away by Cannyland dreams. IMO. We think we can go it alone until the other party is no longer there and you truly need someone to count on. No affection, support you get from this forum or elsewhere can surpass that of a commited partner! And for those hurting, and rightly so, we can seek help to help us heal and not use the 'tonto dikeh' method - pun intended. You can imagine how your partner will feel stumbling on or reading up some of these write ups one day..... It may or may not be funny. And before someone takes me on, and while I also wait for the good success in this journey like many good-spirited guys here, it took me almost 6 months to convince my spouse to write IELTS. Not because she wasn't good, but just the fear of failing, I perceive and I may be wrong. I took it upon myself to study well and passed at one sitting LSWR - 8/8/7/8.5 in September to further encourage her. Still, she did not sit the exams until January this year. While I boil atimes reading people's success stories here, I still have to patiently use persuasive appeal till she agreed to December, then January, then I will do it later. Eventually she sat only once in January and had the score required to complement for US. Yes, for those of us married, it is an US thing. At least as long as we are married! I came to this forum to seek help on if I should go ahead and book medicals with a 440 score. As usual, many came with negative comments. But, only Ifeoma77 (and I'm bolding this part as a lesson for us on this platform) said please go ahead and book, you will likely get an invitation within the next 3 draws. And so it happened, as if she were a prophetess. Did I begrudge the others, NO!. Do I appreciate what Ifeoma77 said, YES, to the moon and back. Everyone will agree that she's a sweet spirited fellow, whom I've never met or spoken to. Finally, and not to deviate too much from my point, I will conclude by admonishing everyone passing through what I have described above, either below or above it, that my philosophy remains "There is very little you can do about other people's bad behaviour than to be correct yourself". Be the change you seek. If your spouse is sick, you're both sick; if s/he's rich, you're both rich; if s/he's poor, you're both poor; and if you come here to portray to us that your spouse is unintelligent, I'm sorry, you're both unintelligent. A mixture of 2 different people with varying strengths is the elixir of any strong relationship. I hope someone picks a lesson from this. Kind regards. |
No. It is not wrong. Provided it is presented 'as it is'. E.g. If the family business was your main job, a reference for it will not be wrong. But if you had a job with say, a Tobacco Coy, and the family biz was a side hustle; you already know the family business will not be your main job. It will be part of your history IMO. I think this is where the issues stem from. Fidesa: |
It is well bro! It's all fine. We're all different people and we have our idiosyncrasies. If it will end in apologies to the house, then it shouldn't have started as brawl in the first place. At least not on cold Monday morning. Like I said earlier to you in my post, I believe you are a good person, perhaps exuding too much passion. We'll still benefit from each other around here and I hope those who felt offended will understand this too. Much love to you. Once again, see you (oh sorry, your Bro) in Cannyland soon!!! 1StopRudeness: 1StopRudeness: |
Hi, but why are you so on edge. I may be wrong or so it appears All people are doing is to advise you and are you are free to take it or reject it.It is true some banks have a policy of closing staff accounts once you exit e.g. Zenith, Skye/Polaris etc., like you mentioned; it does not preclude you from requesting for it. You can actually apply for a statement of account on both an open or closed account - This is a fact. I believe this is what people were advising you to do. I want to believe you do not have any dishonest intentions, neither is anyone around here, particularly the 'seniors' that have seen the good, the bad, the ugly. That said, let's try and stay safe, for us all. I'm sure there should be some smile on your face now and a renewed energy to pursue your dream, albeit the right way.Have splendid week ahead and see you in Cannyland soon....... 1StopRudeness: |
Please whats the avg pay for the banking advisors you mentioned earlier. Similarly which of the courses is most preferable. I see you have several of them to CFC, cifc (not sure though). Which is most widely accepted and recognized. kike100: |
You didn't understand the post! Church marriage certificate are of two types. The one issued in the name of the church and the other one issued by the church on behalf of the govt under the marriage act. What was presented was the former, what you likely have is the latter. Hope it's clear now. My advice, get a documentary evidence from the church that they have been in custody of your govt issued certificate since you married and that what was given to you earlier was the marriage blessing certificate. This way, the VO won't start thinking you've gone to procure a certificate as an afterthought. dmydee: |
OK then... PPR is close, but your adr smacks of AVO trademark. Congratulations in advance johnnybravo1990: |
Seems your file landed in Accra, is it? johnnybravo1990: |
Exactly my thoughts on this..... If she were to work God say Nigerian Prisons Service, the VO most likely won't have doubted it Ifeoma77: |
Hello people, to provide perspective to this...... Find below a summary of what happened based on the post on the referenced forum; The VO claimed the wife, PA, misrepresented job duties. The job claimed is that of correctional and social worker manager noc 0423 & not satisfied invited them for interview bla bla bla. At the end ban!!! He claimed they had pictures etc to back it up but no certificate in training, CAC docs showed the object clause of the Coy was for a different purpose etc. It was a SINP. Again, the Coy the works for belongs to the brother and the VO requested for CAC docs to proof the coy is into such. Unfortunately, like in Naija where a coy is registered to do general contracts and is into pharmacy, it didn't sell. In all, it looks like a set up JD to the VO. We can learn. I believe this can be overturned via judicial review if sufficient docs exist to clear the grey areas. spinner500:

OK thanks. I've done that anyways. But you know that will be till request is approved. The info pulled therefrom could be beneficial here without everyone here going to join the group ? amaya21: |
Could you please share the link again. This leads to nowhere. spinner500: |
You can do one affidavit to cover all errors you observe. It should suffice jerich: |
IMO, and based on what I know, there is nothing wrong with your names nor the arrangements. Every organization have the required format they want applicants name to reflect in their databases for administrative convenience. Ircc will not ask WAEC to change its format from ABC to BCA (assuming A is your surname). What is important is all 3 reflects in the right spellings and what is surname, middle and first name remains wherever they appear. If you still are not satisfied with the above, please go and get a court affidavit to help you sleep well at night. By the way, I have similar experience like yours and I didnt do anything cos I don't see it as a problem and my call to ircc yesterday on my status has not thrown up any queries or reviews required on any section thus far. My only affidavit submitted, which was even done since 2008, was for WAEC showing dob as 27/7 instead of 25/7, year was correct. Hope this helps. jerich: |
Please pull down this image you posted for the sake of innocent and genuine applicants on this platform. Let it not be seen that racketeering is being promoted here. I've been rejected 3ce too even when I have a well paying job, that can pay my return ticket a couple of times, but I think going all the way with these agents is the right thing to do.... Not imposing. Just my thoughts.

|
Please I have a question, I have staff loan and a credit card on my salary account which I didn't mention because we did not submit any salary accounts, just payslips etc. I have other accounts/investment/retirement savings account I also didn't submit and whose balances held together is way and above the fund ircc requirements. I just used tbills and mutual funds as pof. Could not mentioning the loans be a problem, even when I did not submit any salary account where the loan is in the first place and I have sufficient funds to pay down anytime? In case ircc request for statement of account later, will it be OK to 1. just pay down the loan and present the statement or 2. Leave the loan as it is and submit all available funds whose net figure after loan deductions will still be more than ircc requirement Please advise. |
Your funds maturing before your medical expiry or expected landing or ppr will be the ideal. Or aren't you planning to go soon, afterall we were told processing takes around 6 months, so why send a negative message to ircc Just thinking manlikegb: |
You may or may not get an adr for this. Just stay calm and be in good shape. The best would have been to run the serum creatinine test at once. But who knows, God may decide to favour you spinner500: |
This should be another case. If you check the rejection she posted earlier, it says the lady sent in 90 days treasury bills dated December and matured March, which was renewed again and she sent in the matured one.... Maybe it was the matured one you are referring to that someone else now signed when she got adr?? I think the crux here is the nonsense clause in the Gtbank letter. People have been using tbills like forever and no issues. Other banks don't have that clause and all the cases referenced are from Gtbank. Kindly get more info for us to stay guided. Regards Crookesmore: |
Hello people, I used treasury bills from another bank but mine does not contain that clause or disclaimer. Just stated the investment details and the nominees and it will be governed by applicable Nigerian laws. Mine matures in November. It's about 50% of my pof. Do you think I should get a confirmation letter from the bank that I can sell off before maturity or it's better to just liquidate and put in fixed deposit. This VO are suspecting people are borrowing the money to do pof. Kindly advise. joo2018: |
For sharing of ideas, I had same issue; different days, same month and year. However, I already swore an affidavit in 2008 which I attach to the certificate anytime I'm presenting it. I included the affidavit and also noted it in my letter of explanation. That should suffice. Ircc understands these things that errors do occur and WAEC will no longer issue a certificate twice, rather I learnt you'll only get an attestation of results like they gave PMB. If you want to manipulate your age, I doubt it's the day you will change. It'll rather be the year, isn't it They know a red flag if they see onekentoski: |
It should be part of what you paid already, if at the location. My wife did extra test, to forestall further delay from ircc seeking re-medical, at the doctors request and we didn't pay anything extra. Scandinavian02: |
Not necessarily.... "their ways are not your way.... " lol. Behind the scenes, no one knows..... johnnybravo1990: |
Gcms notes is the only way forward to craft an appropriate response....

|
Thanks for your comment. I won't overflog this issue. I have the birth certificate @ifeoma77 and Co are referring to also. I also got the NPC own on a cautious note. It's up to everyone to decide what suits best. My original advisory was based on a recent development dated March 2019. I attached it earlier. All the best! Oakville19: |
I think we should not mix up this birth certificate thing. The only body allowed to issue a birth certificate in Nigeria is National Population Commission - NPC. The NPC has implants in most recognized hospitals such that as you give birth, they issue you the NPC birth certificate there and then. This is what some people see as birth certificate collected from hospital. I read @Ifeoma77 comment on this. We can clarify further. What I know is that the hospital gives a notification of birth (some overreach their powers by calling it birth certificate, which is not). If ircc accepts, fine. However, I have shared the message which ircc works with and based on the clarifications provided by NPC to them in 2011. It was clearly stated that the only acceptable document from Nigeria for birth proof and familial relationship is NPC birth attestation, for those above 18 at that time. It means it's safer for those born before 1992/1993 to use attestation of birth, while those born thereafter can use the NPC issued birth certificate. My wife and I used the attestation while our girls used the NPC birth certificate. The hospital is not a population record agency of govt. I don't know, but it might have been possible some have used it successful in the past. Just my thoughts. Scandinavian02: |
Uwc. It's a family and we pray it ends in praise Topsmamen: |
Don't try it! The only acceptable proof of birth and familial relationship from NPC, depending on your age is attestation of birth. Scandinavian02: |
It's still the same attestation you need. It's been addressed here severally. @Topsamamaen could help. See attached document I was referring to babybanky:
|
I'm most certain it's because of the NPC attestation. NPC had written to IRCC in 2011 on the acceptable doc for proof of birth. See attached communication from Manitoba on someone's application Topsmamen:
|
Birth certificates or NPC attestation of birth? Depending on your age, the birth certificate may not be an acceptable proof. Attestation of birth is what NPC advised IRCC on for those born prior the decree setting up NPC. I've read about it somewhere on a rejection sent to someone. This may be one of the snag. babybanky: |
