Chae:Let them make provision for the decking soil and waste pipes. The ground floor or German floor can be rectify later. Also the pipes suppose to have pass through lintel before casting. Breaking of the lintel won't be nice if you have round lintel or chain lintel. The reinforcement would be pressed or affected when Chisseling the lintel in future for passing the pipes. |
SamIsreal:I can give you a comprehensive list of what you can get for the first fix work. This will include the provision for the solar inverter DB. Ourown:Your electrician should follow this step sir. -Have 3 socket in each room apart from master Bedroom -Master bedroom should have 4 socket - TV point in each room - Water heater in the bathrooms -AC power outlet in all rooms - 4nos reces light in each room -He should also make provision for strip/rope light depending on your ceiling design. - Let all your light be on solar inverter if you plan to have one. It will reduce the cost of electricity bills. -Separate your raw power DB from Inverter DB. You can install single phase DB for inverter - if all the appliances in the kitchen are going to be recess in the cabinet, let him provide a control switch for the socket PLUMBING Use correct pipe for your cold water supply and hot water supply line - Let him use measuring tape and not couch/block during measurement to avoid wrong installation. - Let him make provision for washing machine water supply pipe and also the drainage pipe. - |
SamIsreal:Full conduit is better as TwinsKenny said earlier. Leaving your cables inside the ceiling void without protecting is not the best practice. Safely and Protection is very key to avoid bridging of cable(live and neutra). Those are okay if he's buying correct materials. Let him him give you analysis of what he plan to install I. e BEDROOM 1 Double socket 3 TV point 1 Recessed light 4 AC switch 1 Water heater connection point/ switch 1 |
Happy Eid Mubarak to all our Muslims brothers and sisters. Happy celebration to everyone. |
Billions123:Na money dey talk |
Billions123:Before you install pressure pump, you need to sure all your cold water supply pipes can withstand pressure of at least 5bar to avoid story that touch.. Thank you. |

Happy weekend to everyone |
twinskenny:Yes any of the Nigeria cables imported cables are not full gauge. Purechem, Coleman, Nigerchin. |
Beframia:25mm reclin cable is okay.. Note reclin is an aluminium cable. |
Beframia:How many AC and water heater do u have. Also, are you using 3 phase meter or single phase meter |
Ayohbk:Lagos State is really making hell of money with this lis. I believe the 2.2m for tax can be negotiated. |
BIGGIE121:Was in Abuja on Saturday too.. Mabushi area. We have a renovation work in that area.. Wike is really working in Abuja. Serious road construction is really going on there |
Celepope:You might not necessarily plaster the decking if you want consider using pop in all the area. For the kitchen and toilet you don't need to do a smooth plastering in those areas if you are installing full wall tiles. |
michlins:Check my post very well. Did I mention bulletproof? It's just ordinary Security door. |
Celepope:My client bought this door at Onitsha, we used it at Nnewi. It's a security door 5ftx7ft. See the picture below.. Manufactured in Turkey.
|
christ007:Don't know much about Asaba but this is what they are selling in Nnewi as at yesterday that we bought Plastering sand 5 ton #80 000, Sharp sand #110 000. Cement #10 000 per bag |
dollarnaira:My home is also good or Interdab |
dollarnaira:I have not use or install this type of pump before but a client bought it about 3years ago for his borehole. I don't know how strong is the pump anyway. |
rotecch77:Hmmmm... I have prepared bill of quantities for client on this forum. It's an estate in Abuja. I gave a detailed BOQ without appreciating my effort.. Preparing a detail BOQ require a lot of time, energy, money, etc... Some people don't know. I don't charge for preparing a detailed BOQ because it's one of my hobby also part of me. But don't try it with QS because that's what they do for their daily bread. It's nice to give advice boss. Don't relax and don't stop giving solution to someone's problem or issue . God will help us.... |
RandomForest:Your plumber is right... 100mm(4inches) pipe is okay for the waste water to your soakaway pit. That's the normal practice |
mrphysics:The location must have been chosen based on geophysical/ geotechnical survey. The location is not too close since you are drilling a borehole and not a well. The size of the borehole should be 6inches so don't think it will affect the building |
odimbannamdi:I will try |
odimbannamdi:The best is to involve the experience guy during the first stage of the project.. There is no way you can install fittings immediately after pipe works. Remember, the place must be tiled (both floor and walls).. The only way it can be avoided is by engaging experience plumber or get the measurement right from the on set |
rotecch77:Thank you very much sir, I have been trying to upload the one I have but wasn't successful |
ceelog:The plumber got it wrong from the beginning of the pipe installation. There is normal height for WC waste pipe from the finished floor level and from the one-meter or defence level level. Close couple 160mm Basin waste 530mm Supply 600mm Conceal Waste 280mm Basin Waste 530mm Supply 600mm Some artisans like using courses as against proper measuring tapes and and this will definitely have negative effect when installing the fittings. The use of plum, one-meter level or defence height is very important ,the height of the fittings is very key in plumbing installation. Standard operating procedures must be followed. Both Electrical, plumbibg and AC have measurement to be followed. The best solution now is to re-run the pipes and follow the proper mounting height. ... I find difficult to upload the mounting details but will try later. |
