Your analysis on plumbing and Electrical might be wrong. Electrical cables are very expensive now... Check the below analysis for cables

1.5mm for lighting
Red 5
Black 4
Green 1

2.5mm
Red 3
Black 3
15mm green 3

4mm
Red 2
Black 2

1.5mm for fence light
Red 2
Black 2
2.5mm 2

10mm cable 1

With the above analysis, 2m will not be enough for electrical because pipes and distribution board is not part of the analysis above. Also, light fittings which is the final fix is not part of it too..

Guys can you please review and critique this plan for 3 bedroom bungalow? Thanks
Having 3 doors to the kitchen looks somehow to me, the switching might be a problem except you are ready for intermediate switch. .. Also, are you using cabinet as store? You need to create storage for the kitchen..

Jaydot:
I still believe that, though all these cables are quite good, but none of them is on the same level of quality compared to Nocaco. I still considered Nocaco as the best electrical cable in Nigeria.
MOCACO is manufactured by kabelmetal.. MOCACO is the flexible brand of Kabelmetal products. . MOCACO can only be used where we are running cable trays or basket or otherwise stated by MEP consultants... Nococa is manufactured in North. Nigerchin flexible cable is also the level with MOCACO
Remember MOCACO price not for Kobo Kobo project.. Very very expensive

Buying over there is going to be because getting in far place like Lagos might be a bit expensive when you factor cost of transportation to it... Also, the risk involve is very high..

@michlins obviously camera has to be visible. I don’t mean the camera. I mean this image. Are they accessories for cameras or solar? I would prefer them hidden and not bare like that. Is there something you can do to hide them so they are not visible
You can build a shelf around it... It must be accessible in case of emergency. They must not be too enclose because of heat.. They need ventilation especially during day when there is hot weather.

They are all solar accessories

ben1daEbiri:
Noted.

Again from the quote it seems 2.5mm would be used for the cooker unit in the kitchen. Cooker units should be able to handle 3k watts if I'm not mistaken. You don't recommend 2.5mm on that do you?
Cooker unit should be at least 4mm but with the look of things I don't think he is installing cooker in the kitchen.
Properties › Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by topsy23(m): 8:22am On Nov 12, 2024
ben1daEbiri:
There's no 4mm for cooker unit.
There's no 16mm for supply from the pole to the house or is your Disco expected to provide that?

The half roll of 10mm I believe would be used to supply the DB from the cut out fuse unit. It may not be enough if there's a considerable distance from the cut out to the DB considering it's a 3-phase wiring.
The 10mm single might likely to be enough if the electrician is using single phase supply to the distribution board... Also, the 16mm you mentioned is going to be service wire(aluminium.). He might not need that now because the electrician quoted for only internal installations

Please electricians in the house, kindly help look into this quotation from our electrician for a 3 bedroom bungalow… project is Ogun state.

PIPING
(1)8 Bundles of 20mm pipes @11000 =88000
(2)7 packets of 3by3 plastic boxs @1500 =10,000
(3)5 packets of 3by6 plastic boxs @1400 =7000
(4)4 packets of 20mm cupplers @2000 =8000
(5)1 pack of 20mm looping box@3000
(6)1 pack of Ubox@3000
(7)1 big gum@ 12000
(cool 1 piece of D4 Distribution box@75000
Total cost is 206,000

Workmanship and transport 150,000

WIRES
(1)4 coils of 2.5mm Red@47000=188,000
(2)3 coils of 2.5mm black @47000=141,000
(3)5 coils of 1.5mm red@27,500=137,000
(4) 4 coils of 1.5mm black @27,500=110,000
(5)3 coils of 1.5mm green @27,500=82,500
(6) half coil of 10mm wires =95000
(7) 1 coil of TV cable @12000
Total cost is 765,500

Workmanship and transport 190,000.
Below is my observation
-The Electricidal pipe the guy quote is not dignity because is more expensive than what he quoted for.
-A pack of looping box won't be enough if you plan to have recess light in all the rooms, sitting room, toilet, kitchen and dining.
-What type of 3x3 and 3x6 did he priced, galvanized or plastic ?

-The 2.5mm(RED and BLACK ) cable must the same quantity since they are taking source from the same DB

-He must also specify the make of cables too, alot of cables are in the market now
