MESSAGE TOPIC: BREAKING FAMILY AND GENERATIONAL CURSES

SERVICE OBJECTIVES:
1. Knowing the reality of family and generational curses
2. Understanding what it takes to break them

WHAT ARE FAMILY OR GENERATIONAL CURSES?
1. They are negative patterns or occurrences that are noticeable within particular families or communities
2. They are negative bloodline transfers, possibly from disastrous parental transactions with the enemy
3. They are limiting or disempowering forces of ancestral or generational connection (Zech. 1:19-21)

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF FAMILY OR GENERATIONAL CURSES:
1. Abraham’s extended family had negative family patterns which God brought him out of. (Gen. 12:1-3)
THE NEGATIVE PATTERNS IN HIS BLOODLINE:
i. Starting without finishing
ii. Dying before time
iii. Living without relevance

2. Jacob’s determination and desperation brought him deliverance from the negative patterns of his family house (Gen. 32:24-28)
THE NEGATIVE PATTERNS IN HIS BLOODLINE:
i. Barrenness
ii. First born irrelevance/denial of the blessing
iii. The struggle for things

3. The widow of Nain (Luke 7:11-15)
THE NEGATIVE PATTERN IN HER BLOODLINE:
i. The loss of the male seed

FORCES FOR THE BREAKING OF CURSES:
1. The Blood of Jesus (Gal. 3:13-14; Col. 2:13-15; 1Pet. 1:18-19)
The reason why what affected your parents, or people in your village is not permitted to affect you is because of the Blood of Jesus
The Blood of Jesus disconnects you from your natural bloodline and connects you to a new, spiritual
bloodline; that is what it means to be born again
You may have inherited some good traits from your parents but without your permission, negative traits were also handed over to you but by the Blood of Jesus, those negative traits are not permitted to happen in your life anymore!
You cannot be a Christian and be imagining that what happened to your mother or father (negative things) can happen to you
Anytime you take the communion, you are enforcing your deliverance; that is why the communion
is called the Cup of the Blessing (1Cor. 10:16)
All you need to do about the darkness is to turn on the light; similarly, all you need to do to break the curse is to receive the Blessing (1Cor. 10:16)

2. The revelation of Truth (John 8:32, 36; John 1:1-5; Jer. 31:29-30; 2Cor. 2:14)
Truth is stronger than fact!
Truth: By His stripes you are healed (Isa. 53:5)
Fact: Everyone in your family has hypertension or diabetes
The truth is stronger than that fact!
The Word is Truth; sickness is a darkness. Once the Word shines inside the darkness of sickness, the darkness cannot comprehend it and must bow!
Never over-empower the problem; no demon is stronger than the truth!
Dream a negative dream 1,000 times, if it is contrary to the Word, it is TRASH!
The Truth is absolute
Increase in Light is the decrease of fear
If you see your fear of things is increasing, then it means that your Light is low
The knowledge of the Word is our reason for triumph (2Cor. 2:14)

3. The force of prayer and fasting (Gen. 32:24-28; 1Chron. 4:9-10; Isa. 58:6,8; Matt. 17:21)
The power of desperate praying broke the curse on the lives of Jacob and Jabez (Gen. 32:24-28; 1Chron. 4:9-10)

4. The power of the Blessing (Gen. 12:2; 1Chron. 4:9-10)
Whatever connects you to the Blessing, connects you to deliverance and excuses you from the curse
Service brings you the Blessing (Ex. 23:25-26); tithes and offerings connect you to the Blessing (Mal. 3:10); Sacrifice connects you to the Blessing and excuses you from the curse; Obedience connects you to the Blessing (Deut. 28:1-2); Righteousness connects you to the Blessing (Ps. 5:12).

5. The prophetic mantle (Hos. 12:13; Num. 6:23-26)
God’s prophets are relevant and vital in the deliverance of God’s people from captivity

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for the Light of Your Word that we have received today. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
COVENANT RENOUNCEMENT:
Father, I come before You today, to renew my relationship with Jesus Christ. I come today to rededicate my life to Jesus. And today, I come to reject every ancestral, generational and family curse, every work of diabolism, or witches and wizards; I reject you! Every altar fighting my life, I reject you by the altar of Calvary; every blood sacrifice fighting my destiny I neutralise you by the Blood of Jesus; every decree fighting my life and destiny, I neutralize you by the decree of Jesus on Calvary when He said, ‘It is finished’; today, I reject every spirit of failure, backwardness, limitation, stagnation, delay, I refuse and reject you! You have no place in my life! Your tenure in my life expires today! GO!

FEBRUARY 2019 PROPHETIC PARENTAL DECLARATIONS:
1. The Lord bless you, and keep you, the Lord cause His Face to shine upon you, the Lord be gracious unto you, the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and the Lord give you peace in the Name of Jesus.

2. I declare that the Lord will cause every ancestral curse, every family curse and every generational curse of your life to be swallowed up in the Blessing in the Name of Jesus.

3. The Lord will cause your days to be fulfilled. Every force or altar of your father’s house that is after your life and after your existence on the earth, I declare that they are set on fire, in the Name of Jesus!

4. The Lord cause your destiny to open up; may He cause His purpose for your life on the earth to be fulfilled without any hindrance in the Name of Jesus

5. The Lord cause every stubborn affliction, every stubborn situation, every stubborn condition and every stubborn operation of your life to perish today in the Name of Jesus.

6. The Lord cause every distraction of your life – everything that distracts your worship of God and your focus in life, I declare that they be instantly arrested in the Name of Jesus. Receive the grace to serve God without distraction in Jesus’ Name.

7. The Lord release upon you the Blessing of direction and the Blessing of guidance; the Lord cause you to take the right steps and to make the right moves for your life and destiny in the Name of Jesus. May He cause you to be at the right place at the right time in Jesus’ Name

8. The Lord visit you with every Blessing that is available in this Commission and upon this altar; every favour, every help, every mercy, and every breakthrough that is available in this Ministry that you heard about, every testimony you have heard on this altar that you desire in your life is released for you in Jesus’ Name.

9. In the Name of Jesus Christ, February shall favour you. It is well with you. It is well with Nigeria. It is well with your family in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.

TOPIC: WHAT TO DO TO STAY HEALTHY

SATURDAY 2 FEBRUARY,"2019

SCRIPTURE": That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet,"saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8":17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your revelation determines your possession.

Yesterday,"we saw the need to understand our Divine heritage in God; we saw amongst other things that Divine Health is the heritage of God’s children. This is very important because until you know what is yours in God, you can easily become a victim of the negative circumstances of this world.

Now, the important question is, how do you activate the force of Divine health? In other words, what do you do to stay healthy?

Possess the scriptural light regarding your heritage of health!

Beloved, in order to stay healthy in life, it is very important to possess the light or revelation of God’s Word regarding your heritage of Divine health (Isaiah 60":1). Possessing this light is important because your revelation determines your possession.

Let me give you a practical example: one day,"Papa Bishop Oyedepo saw one light in Matthew 8":17 where the Bible says,"‘…Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.’ He said that when he read that verse, the Holy Ghost made the word ‘took’ to stand out. He understood by revelation that God has already taken away every sickness in his body on the Cross of Calvary even before he was born and so, the sickness cannot be there. This means, what has been taken cannot be untaken.

Beloved, what a vital lesson of life! Believing that sickness has already been taken from your life on the Cross of Calvary is a major key to staying healthy (Matthew 8":17). What has already been taken cannot be there. Let this light dwell in you; this is one secret of living in abundant health.

Remember this: Your revelation determines your possession.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Meditate on our Anchor Scripture.
2. Believe that Jesus has taken away all sicknesses on the Cross and what has been taken cannot be untaken.

SCRIPTURE": Then shall thy light break forth as the morning,"and thine health shall spring forth speedily": and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward. Isaiah 58:8

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Not to know one’s heritage in God is to become a victim of the negative circumstances of life.

It is very important to know that we live in a world where the devil is doing overtime in his destructive activities (Revelation 12:12). Apart from polluting humanity with sin,"he also afflicts people with all manner of diseases. This is why we see the outbreaks and escalations of all manner of demonic diseases today such as kidney failure, cancer, HIV, hepatitis, etc.

Now, considering the dangers of these diseases, it is very important to know our heritage of Divine health. This is because, not to know one’s heritage in God is to become a victim of the negative circumstances of life. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Now, I would like you to take note of the following key thoughts on health":
1. Divine health is the heritage of God’s children
As God’s Children,"God created us to enjoy Divine health. We are wired at creation by God to be healthy. So, we don’t have to beg to be healthy (Mark 7":27).

2. Man was created in the Image of a sick-less and die-less God
Man was created in God’s Image (Genesis 1:26-27),"and God is a sick-less and die-less God. As a creature in the image of the sick-less God, you are expected to live a sick-less and diseases-free life.

3. Jesus was absolutely sick-less and existed with an unbeatable strength on the Earth
While Jesus Christ was on earth, He was absolutely sick-less and existed with an unbeatable strength. By redemption, you are expected to function in the realm of the same strength as Jesus Christ. That is the kind of strength you were created to manifest as a Christian.

My counsel is, fight against every form of sickness and weakness in your life with this consciousness; make the choice to remain in the state of perfect health always by believing in God’s Word concerning your health.

Remember this": Not to know one’s heritage in God is to become a victim of the negative circumstances of life.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Read and study Scriptures on your heritage of Divine health in God.
2. Resist every affliction,"sickness and disease in your life at the place of prayer

PRAYER": O Lord,"I thank You for Your plan to keep me healthy always. I reject every sickness, disease and affliction by the finished work of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To love God is to spend time with Him.

It has been confirmed that we live in a generation where people have zero regard for God who is their Creator. Everyone does what he/she likes and this is why the Power and Presence of God is scarce in our days. We see little of God’s manifestations because dedicated people are scarce. To be dedicated to God is to stand up in life; to be dedicated to God is to stand out in life. Therefore,"what does it mean to be dedicated to God?

Dedication to God means a life of affection for God. Now, let me show you what it means to have affection for God. It is":

i. Living a life of addiction to God (Matthew 22:37)
To have affection for God means living a life of addiction to God; it is living a life that cannot do without God. It is being addicted to God the way a person would be addicted to drugs. When you are incurably addicted to God,"everyone around you would know and feel it.

ii. Living a life that is in love with God (Mark 12":30)
To have affection for God means living a life that is madly in love with God. When you are in love with God,"people may look at you and think that the way you serve God has crossed boundaries because you are madly in love with Jesus.

iii. Loving God and spending time with Him (Mark 3":14)
To love God is to spend time with Him. When two people love themselves,"they enjoy one another’s company. So, your love for God makes you spend time with God. Dedicated people spend time with God. People who are dedicated to God spend time in the study of God’s Word and in prayer.

Remember this": To love God is to spend time with Him.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to be addicted to God and His Purpose on earth.
2. Spend time with God in personal communion regularly and consistently.

PRAYER: O Lord,"I receive the grace to be addicted to You. Help me to spend time with You in personal communion and fellowship always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

THOUGHT FOR GOD: To be dedicated to God is to make God the Centre of your life.

It has been confirmed that dedication is the doorway to stardom. In the Bible days,"people who were dedicated to God, like Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Job, etc., were stars and prominent figures in their generation. Therefore, in order to become a star for God, dedication is the pathway. This makes the understanding of dedication very important. Insight determines conduct and conduct determines outcome.

Therefore, what is dedication? Dedication is living for God.
Now, what does it mean to live for God? It means":
i. Making God the reason for your life (Isaiah 43:21)
Dedication to God means making God the reason for your life. When you are dedicated to God,"pleasure, money, fame, and popularity are not the reason for your living. God is the reason for your living.

ii. Making God the Centre of your life (Luke 2":49)
God is the Centre and Controller of people who are dedicated to Him. On the other hand,"God is not the central focus of people who are not dedicated to Him. They do not consider or consult God in what they do. To be dedicated to God is to make God the Centre of your life.

iii. Making your life revolve around God
Living for God means making your life, relationship, job, career, business, etc., revolve around God. This means, everything you do in life, you consider your relationship with God first. Your life revolves around God (Matthew 6":33).

iv. Allowing your decisions and actions to proceed from God
Living for God is coming to a point where your decisions and actions proceed from your relationship with God. When you live for God,"you do not just make decisions or take actions that revolve around God but you make decisions and take actions that are sponsored by God. God is the One who tells you what to do and the steps to take (Acts 9":5).

Beloved,"make up your mind to come to the point of dedication where Jehovah will prove Himself that He is God in your life.

Remember this": To be dedicated to God is to make God the centre of your life.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to make God the Centre of your life.
2. Do not be involved in decisions and actions that God is not involved in.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Reverence for God is the secret of staying pure in life

Yesterday,"we saw that reverence for God makes a person a reference point in life. Reverence for God is the secret of staying pure in life. Joseph did not fall into the trap of temptation and sin because of his reverence for God (Genesis 39":9).

Now,"what are the implications of living in the reverential fear of God?
They are":
i. Living with a conscience that is alive (Act 24:16)
Those who are dedicated to God have a tender conscience. People who are not dedicated to God have a conscience that appears seared with hot iron (1 Timothy 4:2).

ii. Living to give God pleasure (2 Corinthians 5:9)
Living in the reverential fear of God is living to give God pleasure; people who are dedicated to God make giving pleasure to God the most important objective of their lives and existence. People who are not dedicated to God live to please themselves.

iii. Living to give glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31,"Isaiah 42":12)
When you live in the reverential fear of God,"the actions of your life are carried out with the consideration of glorifying God. You do not do things if they do not glorify God.

iv. Saying ‘yes’ to what God says ‘yes’ to and saying ‘No’ to what God says ‘No’ to (Hebrews 6":3)
Living in the reverential fear of God means saying ‘yes’ to what God says ‘yes’ to and saying ‘no’ to what God says ‘no’ to. People who are not dedicated to God say ‘No’ to what God says ‘Yes’ to and say ‘Yes’ to what God says ‘No’ to.

Beloved,"make up your mind to be dedicated to God by saying ‘Yes’ to what God says ‘Yes’ to. Reject what God rejects.

Remember this": Reverence for God is the secret of staying pure in life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Standing out for God is the secret of standing up in life; standing out for God is the secret of standing tall in life.

Sometime ago,"one of my children who was a student in the university stood up for God when her lecturer spoke against God. The lecturer kept talking against God and church; he said things like people who serve God are wasting their time, etc. Then she stood up and said, ‘Excuse me sir! You are entitled to your opinion, but please, respect the opinions of those of us who believe in Jesus Christ; respect the views and the conviction of those of us who believe in God.’ Then the man said, ‘Oh, I am sorry.’ After the lecture, he met her and told her, ‘What you said in the class was right. I am not meant to be talking about religion in class. Please, anytime I say it again, you can report me to the authorities of the school.’

This is a practical example of being different from others. There are people who keep quiet when God, pastors, Christianity and the church are being ridiculed. They keep quiet when people say all manner of ‘rubbish’ against God and pastors; they keep quiet and pretend as if they know nothing about God in case the people insult them also.

Some years ago, my mother was in a vehicle going to a place and someone began to criticize pastors and the church; the person said something like, ‘All these pastors that gather people together do that only to get their money.’ Then, my mother vehemently replied the person and said, ‘Go and try to gather people and see if gathering people is easy.’ Beloved, standing out for God is the secret of standing up in life; standing out for God is the secret of standing tall in life.

My counsel is, make up your mind to take a stand for God always.

Remember this": standing out for God is the secret of standing up in life; standing out for God is the secret of standing tall in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Decide to stand out for God in all that you do.
2. Take a stand for God even if it is not convenient for you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To take a stand for God is to become a standard in life.

Life is a product of choice; what or where you would be in life is a product of your decision. People remain where they are in life because of indecision.

It is important to note that dedication is critical to becoming great in life. One implication of taking sides with God is making the choice to take a stand for God; a public stand for God. There must be a choice if a person must stand and remain with God. It is taking a public stand with God like Elijah who said,"‘…before God whom I stand…’ (1 Kings 17":1). When you take a stand with God,"people will know you with God. Those who are not dedicated cannot take a stand for God; they cannot tolerate what is not pleasant on behalf of God and the Kingdom; they are allergic to controversy and addicted to convenience. If becoming a Christian would make them look controversial, they would not take a spiritual stand with God. They are married to what is convenient. No one goes far with God who refuses to make the choice to stand with God. To take a stand for God is to become a standard in life.

Beloved, as a Christian, you must make up your mind to stand out for God and speak against the ungodly work of darkness wherever you find yourself. Make the choice to stand for God.

Remember this": To take a stand for God is to become a standard in life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be dedicated to God is to go up in life.

Dedication to God is the secret of flying high with God. People who are dedicated to God cannot remain low on the earth. To be dedicated to God is to go up in life.

The question is,"what does it mean to be dedicated to God?
Dedication to God means taking sides with God.

Now, what does it mean to take sides with God?
It means":
i. Standing with God (1 Kings 17:1)
Taking sides with God means standing with God when the majority of people are standing with the enemy of God; it is standing with God when the majority of people are standing with the world. When a person is dedicated to God,"he is on God’s side when every other person is on the other side.

ii. Identifying with God (Numbers 25":7-
Taking sides with God means identifying with God when the majority of people have a different identity contrary to the identity of God. When other people choose to identify with other things,"a dedicated person identifies with God.

iii. Making the choice to identify with God irrespective of the cost (Daniel 3":16-20)
People who take sides with God identify with God even if they lose their job,"friendship or relationship. One who takes sides with God sticks to God even when people reject them.

Beloved, my counsel is, make up your mind to follow God at all cost.

Remember this": To be dedicated to God is to go up in life.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Make up your mind to stand and identify with God at all cost.

SCRIPTURE": And Elijah the Tishbite,"who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. 1 Kings 17":1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

Sometime ago,"I went for a program in a 5-star hotel and then met an older man who wanted to speak with me over an issue. He suggested that two of us should sit at the pool bar section of the hotel and talk. I told him that I would not follow him to that place and sit down around half-naked people including the opposite sex swimming at the pool and also with people drinking alcohol. I cannot be found there; we can talk anywhere but that kind of place is abominable to me. This is because that is an ungodly environment. And doing that would not portray a godly image of a spiritual leader to members of his congregation. If the people I lead see me in that kind of place, they would ask, ‘What is pastor doing here?’ I did that because I am not supposed to be found where God is not found; a dedicated person is only found where God is found and absent from where God is absent.

Beloved, to be a dedicated person is to be found where God can be found and be absent from where God is absent. Elijah told Ahab, ‘…before God whom I stand…’ (1 kings 17":1). This means,"walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

Beloved, make up your mind not to be found in a place where God is absent; do not engage in an activity that drives God away from your life. Do not follow people to an environment where the presence of the devil is active and his activity is being perpetrated.

Remember this": Walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Disengage yourself from every ungodly association.
2. Make up your mind to be found only where God’s presence is felt and noticed.
3. Do not neglect the assembling of the brethren together (Hebrew 10:25).

PRAYER: O Lord,"I ask and receive the grace to cultivate and maintain Your Presence. Help me to be found only where You are found, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: DEADLY COMMITMENT TO GOD

MONDAY JANUARY 21,"2019

SCRIPTURE": And they shall be mine,"saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. Malachi 3":17-18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A dedicated person does not turn back from following God no matter what seems not to be working in his life temporarily.

Dedication to God is very critical to the fulfilment of life and destiny. God showcases the dedicated to the world. This was what we saw in the lives of Joseph,"Job, Daniel, Peter, Paul, etc. No one can be relevant in life without being dedicated to God. Therefore, it is very important to look at the subject of dedication.

Previously, we saw that dedication means being sold out to God, the willingness to go all the way with God and walking with God.

Now, another meaning of dedication is, deadly commitment to God. The question is, what is the implication of being deadly committed to God?

It is being dead to the pleasures of the world

To be deadly committed to God means to be dead to the pleasures of the world; it is to be committed to God even till death. It is likened to the way a marital vow is exchanged between intending couple on their wedding day. The couple normally confess that they would love each other in all situations until death do them part. This is how a dedicated person is ready to go all the way with God. A dedicated person does not turn back from following God no matter what seems not to be working in his life temporarily.

When you are deadly committed to God, you are dead to the world (Galatians 6":14); what the world holds important means nothing to you if it does not mean anything to God. To be deadly committed to God is to be dead to pleasure,"the flesh and human opinion.

Remember this": A dedicated person does not turn back from following God no matter what seems not to be working in his life temporarily.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to serve God and Him alone if you are yet to do so.
2. Be dead to the pleasures of the world and alive in Christ Jesus.

SCRIPTURE": And Enoch walked with God after He begat Methuselah,"300 years and begat sons and daughters and Enoch walked with God and he was not for God took him, he walked with God. Genesis 5":22-24.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To walk with God is to allow God’s Word order your steps in life.

It has been confirmed that dedication to God has many profits and benefits in life. One of the benefits of dedication to God is standing out from the rest of the people. You cannot give God the best and be among the rest of the people; you cannot put God first and come last in life. Therefore,"it is important to look further at the subject of dedication.

Now, what is dedication to God?
From our anchor Scripture, we understand that dedication to God is synonymous with walking with God; to be dedicated to God is to walk with God (Genesis 17":1).

What then does it mean to walk with God? Walking with God means:
i. Going in the same direction with God (Luke 24:13-15)
Walking with God means going in the same direction with God. When a person is walking with God,"he cannot go in a direction that is contrary to where God is. To walk with God is to travel in the same direction with God.

ii. Being in steps with God
Walking with God means being in step with God; the steps and the moves of those who walk with God are ordered by God (Prov. 37":23).

iii. Ordering one’s steps in the Word of God
Walking with God or being dedicated means ordering your steps in the Word of God (Psalms 119:133).

Beloved,"you cannot claim to be walking with God when you do not go in the same direction with Him, being in step with Him or ordering your steps and moves according to His Word. My counsel is, decide to walk with God totally and completely.

Remember this": To walk with God is to allow God’s Word order your steps in life.

Sometime ago, a relative of mine who came to church saw the way I was dancing before the Lord when the praise session was going on. Then after the service, he told me, ‘What you are doing now for God and enjoying yourself is what we wasted our lives doing for the devil in disco and party dance many years ago and gained nothing.’

Our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo was dedicated to God while in school and God differentiated him from others. One day, his teacher told him, ‘David, you are going too extreme with your Christianity; do you realise that you are a student?’ And he replied the man, ‘Serving God is the first occupation of my life. I am a full time Christian and a part time student’. This means, being a Christian was more important to him than being a student. One day, he wrote an examination and they marked his papers, he scored one hundred and twenty percent. His answer was so excellent that the teacher forgot that the maximum mark should be one hundred percent.

Beloved, dedication is key to distinction; anything you are privileged to do, please do it well in order not to end in mockery.

TOPIC: THE COMMITMENT OF NO RETURN

SCRIPTURE": O Nebuchadnezzar,"we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Daniel 3":16-18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Being committed to God to the point of no return is refusing to serve the devil even if God seems not to meet your needs temporarily.

We live in a world where satan sets different things before God’s children as distractions in their lives in order to make them turn back from following God like Lot’s wife (Genesis 19:26). The intention of God for His children is for them to serve Him to the end.

It was God’s servant,"Bishop David Oyedepo, who once told God, ‘God, when we arrive eternity and I realize that there is no heaven, anywhere You go, I will follow You.’ This is a practical example of a commitment of no return. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were committed to God in this way. When they were confronted with the choice of bowing down before the graven image of king Nebuchadnezzar or face the danger of being thrown into the fiery furnace, they made up their minds that even if God would not deliver them, they would not bow before the image of the king (Daniel 3":16-18). This is what God expects from the life of every Child of His.

Beloved,"being committed to God to the point of no return is refusing to serve the devil even if God seems not to meet your needs temporarily; it is refusing to serve the devil as an option to serving God in the face of the trials and challenges of life (Job 1":18-22). Being committed to God to the point of no return is the refusal to look back no matter what happens (Luke 9:62). A person who is committed to God to a point of no return does not have the phone number of a former sinful partner.

My counsel is,"make up your mind never to look back from following God.

Remember this": Being committed to God to the point of no return is refusing to serve the devil even if God seems not to meet your needs temporarily.

ASSIGNMENTS:

SCRIPTURE": And Abram took Sarai his wife,"and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. Genesis 12":5.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To go all the way with God is to refuse to look back from following God.

Dedicated people exist in the realm of enviable authority,"dominion and prominence. God differentiates and distinguishes those who are dedicated to Him from the rest. Therefore, it is very important to look at what dedication is all about.

Dedication means going all the way with God. Now, what does it mean to go all the way with God?

It means":
i. Going full length with God
To go all the way with God is to go full length with God; it is being committed to God wholeheartedly. Going all the way with God is not half-hearted commitment to God but the total commitment of your heart to God. It is the commitment of no return; that is,"you are willing to go with God and you refuse to turn back from following Him. That is to say, there is no possibility of a reconsideration of your decision to serve God.

ii. Refusal to look back
To go all the way with God is to refuse to look back from following God; it is refusing to envy your former friends who are unbelievers (Genesis 12":5). When God called Abraham,"Abraham took his wife, Lot, his nephew and all that he had and set out for Canaan; they did not stop on the way until they reached their destination.

Paul the Apostle also made up his mind that nothing would stop him from reaching his God-ordained destination for his life (Philippians 3":13-14). There are people who have stopped following God because of the pressures of life; they stopped their journey with God half-way,"it ought not to be so.
Beloved, make up your mind to go full length with God and refuse to look back or go back.

Remember this": To go all the way with God is to refuse to look back from following God.
