in issues like this, your agent has to be proactive to discover such theft before it's moved out of their terminal. That way, you register with ptml CSO. Then write to grimaldi Nigeria customer care, Copy ptml. They will investigate and refer to appropriate quarters for your claim. To make it weighty, copy their Italian and U.S offices. I have some personal emails I copy to too. On the last case, they offered me 30k. I replied and rejected. They offered 40k as their last offer. I told them to take their miserable money cos I was pissed. I involved FCPC. Don't know if they intervened. But after 1 week, grimaldi wrote me and offered 50k with pleasant words. I accepted.

Terminals work on Saturday for deliveries but not shipping company and not working on sundays .

He said he would "transmire from 5 star to claron at Mile 2 for the car to quickly come out"

Transhire to Clarion , I can’t really guaranteed 2days delivery at 5star as an agent but I can guarantee 4days at 5star cos they are not as fast as Grimaldi . Secondly Clarion terminal is at Alakija and not mile 2 and the 2days delivery you have been guaranteed is not feasible as your agent will still have to undergo some shipping company process to have your car released at the shipping company in 5star before proceeding to clarion where customs process is been handled by who he would delegate the customs process to , so all this takes time and even before your vehicle get to clarion terminal , we don’t know how fast it will be , so just have 5days in mind .

Well, although the Benin custom are always demanding because the actual price given out are always compromise to the normal duty. The surface duty based on compromise is 885k and total duty to be #1, 223,000k.

Then you just settle them, because they will negotiate with you. But a readiculus amount of money.

Have at the back of your mind that you will always keep some money for road trips apart from clearing, even the agent paid high or lower.

No, I’m not agreeing with the point , as far as you have paid the right compromised duty given to you from the customs valuations without Paying below what is given to you and everything is on the system , you are free to move around except you paid below what was given to you , that’s when you can be scary of moving around .
