Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has added to her chain of enterprises as her dream of owning a lounge, bar and restaurant came to fulfillment finally yesterday.


The actress who already owns a beauty shop amongst other businesses opened her Fespris Lounge and Bar yesterday in Lekki with her friends trooping out to give her support.


The catch of the new business is the ‘Amala spot’ according to Iyabo who couldn’t stop gushing about the spot.


Seen at the opening were some top actresses and colleagues of Iyabo including Toyin Abraham, Dayo Amusa, Regina Chukwu, Funke Etii, Ronke Oshodi one and many more friends.


The excited and obviously happy Iyabo was all smiles as she partied with her friends and opened her doors for her first customers.

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Uche Ogbodo in an interview with NET TV spoke extensively about her upcoming movie ,Stolen Vow movie which talks about the evils of domestic violence.


When asked if it was inspired by her life,she said she could relate to the main character.


She also disclosed that her ex-husband to whom she was married to for just about a month is yet to see their three year old daughter.

Speaking on her inspiration,she said on a really bad day,my motivation is my daughter.

She's my strength .I think God blessed me with that little girl.

When I look at her or she looks at me when I'm feeling down,I remember why I'm here.

So I have to survive and succeed so she can succeed.


On her baby daddy's relationship with their daughter,she said He's not ready to meet her yet.

I think.

Maybe he has his own reasons or demons.

He doesn't call,hasn't met her. I'm sure when he's ready.


On the type of man she wants,she said A God fearing ,supportive man.

A man who can not stand tears in my eyes. That's the man I want.

On if she's in a relationship,she said Yes, he treats me like a queen.

For the past 24-hours, elder statesman, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwuhas been a trending topic on Nigerian social media.


Ojukwu was mentioned in President Muhammadu Buhari's speech yesterday when he said,'In 2003 after I joined partisan politics, the late Chief Emeka Ojukwu came and stayed as my guest in my hometown Daura. Over two days we discussed in great depth till late into the night and analyzed the problems of Nigeria. We both came to the conclusion that the country must remain one and united'.


A lot of Nigerians however didn't believe this paragraph from the president's speech and unfortunately, Ojukwu who led the Southeast as Biafra in a failed secessionist bid that caused a two-and-half-year civil war in the country between July 1967 and January 1970 died in 2011.


Now, a magazine cover of his 2004 interview with NEWSWATCH where he said,'I support Biafra' has surfaced online bringing a new perspective to the discussion.

This viral video on social media shows a South Sudanese man, who calls himself a billionaire, rolling on abed covered with what he says is a million dollars' worth of $100 bills.

In the eight-minute video, Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr who many have described online as South Sudan's 'HushPuppi' talks about how he is donating the money to a church in Kenya and he says he is also giving money to the Red Cross in Kenya an South Sudan.


Malong, who is also known as the Young Tycoon, does not talk about how he made the money, but is heard complaining that people criticise him for showing off about his wealth but fail to mention his charitable donations.


He says there is nothing wrong with talking about wealth and cites US President Donald Trump as someone who is not embarrassed about how much money he has. "I' mlike Donald Trump," he says.

The Lagos state police command today uncovered a shrine said to be used by members of the secret cult, Badoo in Ikorodu.

The owner of the shrine, Alhaji Alaka Aboyomi, led the police team into the shrine located on a large expanse of land that is surrounded by thick bush. Four graves were found in the compound while another one that looked fresh was spotted on a corner in the compound.

Comrade Shakiru Balogun, a one-time APC Chairmanship aspirant in of Igando/Ikotun Community has died.

He died after being involved in a fatal motor accident with a LAWMA truck on Friday, July 21, 2017.


Balogun was an aspirant for the chairmanship position before he lost at the primaries, but he still remains one of the very strong and influential political figures in the community.

Late Balogun was also a former Chairman of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Igando-Ikotun Chapter.

President Alpha Conde of Guinea yesterday called on Islamic faithfuls in his country to pray for his ailing Nigerian counterpart, President Buhari.


In a statement released from his office and posted on the Guinean websites, President Conde asked all mosques in Guinea to devote yesterday's prayers to the quick recovery and "re-establishment” of his Nigerian counterpart.President Buhari left for London on May 7th for medical treatment and has not been seen since then.

The presidency is yet to disclose the kindof ailment affecting him.

Controversial Zimbabwean businessman and socialite, Wicknell Chivhayo popularly known as Sir Wicknell reportedly paid a hefty $50,000 lobola (bride price) for his wife, Sonja Madzikandaon Saturday. In a social media poston Thursday, Chivayo boasted that he would be disappointed if his in-laws charged him less than $50,000.


Recalls that the flamboyant Harare-based businessman took to Facebook on December 31, to announce that he has decided to get married in 2017. All applicants had to have sent in their 'applications' before 1st January 2017.


According to local media, his wife is an accountant with a firm in Harare. Her father is a David Madzikanda who works for at the University of Zimbabwe?s School of Commerce. On Sunday morning, he posted photos from the bride price ceremony, adding that they are planning a big wedding soon.
