The community of Asare in the Jaman South District of Brong-Ahafo Region in Ghana, are mourning the death of one Kwadwo Robert who allegedly died after consuming the meat of a pregnant cat.

Kwadwo, 30, who's popularly known in the community as Asampian started putting up a strange display after he ate the meat. He was reportedly rushed to the Sampa Government Hospital but died on arrival on Wednesday.Daily Guide reported that Kwadwo Robert was invited by his friend, Kofi Tawiah, to his house to help him kill a cat that belonged to a community member.


According to the report, after they had killed the cat, they realized that the animal was pregnant with five fetuses but went ahead to prepare the meat for consumption.After eating the meat, Kwadwo reportedly began behaving strangely.He was said to have been crawling on the ground like a cat and making strange gestures. Sources at the scene said they thought he was running mad, so they rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Sampa Government Hospital in Sampa.

41 year old Nigerian man, Olukunle Oyekanmi, a correctional officer at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Boyds, near Clarksburg in Maryland, has been arrested for sexually assaulting a transgender inmate on Tuesday July 11th.

An investigation by the police showed that Oyekanmi, 41, entered the woman's cell at about 6:20 a.m. and sexually assaulted her. Surveillancevideo showed Oyekanmi was in the inmate's cell at the time of the alleged attack.


During an interview with Montgomery County police department detectives, Oyekanmi admitted to the assault, police said.


He was arrested Tuesday evening at his home. Oyekanmi is charged with second-degree sex offense, second-degree assault, sexual contact with an inmate and malfeasance in office. He was released after he posted $20,000 bond.

Controversial US trained, Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo.

Kemi who was released Last month from Port Harcourt prison after spending 81 days in detention.

Recall that the daughter of former governor of Oyo State, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, was remanded in prison for purportedly publishing materials believed to have defamed an influential cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, of the Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt.

She took it to her social media pages to blast Biafrans and their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. According to her, what happened in July 1966 is not something anyone will pray for to happen again.
