Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by tosynn007: 4:17am On Sep 22, 2022
Good day guys, I am new on this particular forum. I intend applying to a UK school for Jan entry but the UK visa processing looks very different from the Canadian visa processing which I'm particularly familiar with. If After securing admission and about to apply for visa, what is the average value one's sponsor must have when submitting an application. I tried going to the reference thread on page 1 but seem very confusing. Thanks

Hello @everyone, does everyone have an idea of how much a deed of gift cost within Lagos?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by tosynn007: 6:33pm On May 26, 2022
Hello guys, I need you guys intake on this. I was recently refused for my study visa application based on my personal asset and financial status.

My half sister paid my first semester tuition fee which reflected on her bank statement while my dad opted to support me for my room and boarding but didn't make commitment.

This time around, I intend to show further proof that my half-sister is related to me by blood also, my dad will also be making a commitment of 1m to my personal account and more funds will be sent as my room and boarding upon my arrival in canada. The only issue now is that my dad close friend is willing to make a pledge of $10,000 dollars has a gift upon the approval of my study application and willing to provide a bank statement and sponsorship letter but very important to note that he isn't willing to make that commitment yet except until the visa has been approved

My question is hope it won't be a red flag indicating that my family friend pledged a certain sum of money upon the approval as I originally intend using my sister and my dad as my sponsor whom also have very good inflow and outflow on their bank statements and valuable landed properties

Or should I just remove the third party sponsorship pledge away from the POF

Thanks @Makano

Hello Tosynn

Your refusal reason is very common amongst refused applicants and it is easy to tackle..

Just wait for your GCMS notes to be ready so you will know the concerns of the Visa Officer..

It can still be tackled without a GCMS notes though, like I said earlier its a common refusal reason.. Personally I do not need to see GCMS note to know how to tackle personal assets and financial status, but for a newbie like you, you will need to wait for the GCMS notes, and when its ready, gurus here will help you out..

Peace

Hello @ everyone, I intend re-applying for for study visa which was refused last month.

1 I seem confused and I want to find out if I'm to submit a reviewed Sop and also a LOE? Or am I just to submit an LOE?

2. My dad will be transferring one million as a gift/dash towards my room and boarding. Do I still need to go get a gift of deed or should I just screenshot the transaction reference and explain the lump sum indicating that it was transferred from his account

3. Does using my dad properties and attaching a reference letter indicating I will work for him after the completion of my study suffice enough proof of home ties?

4. Does any one have a LOE template on how to tackle the VO worries

It is very important to note that I was rejected on the basis of personal asset and financial status. Paid my first term tuition. I have applied for gmcs note but can't wait anymore.

Thanks a lot
technix:
Hi,

Sorry to hear about your prior refusal.

1. You can do either of the two. I personally prefer a single letter addressing the prior refusal and still covering other details needed in a standard LOE.

2. You don't need a gift deed. I will advise that your dad writes a letter of sponsoship and still do the transfer.

3. Your dad living in Nigeria is one proof of home ties. The reference letter is also a proof. But his properties will serve as a proof of assets for him as your sponsor.

Lastly, depending on when your school is resuming, you may wait a bit more for the GCMS note. But if you still want to go ahead, I will advise that you allow someone to read your previous LOE.

I did which indicated my monthly salary of #120k plus a closing balance of over 400k. Honestly, I seem lost coz my sis was my sponsor and paid for my school fees which reflected on the bank statement. Provided 4 c of o also explaining the total yearly rent income . Used my aged parents as a tie home and properties of that of my parents. Felt like I was deliberately refused out of nothing
amila20042001:
Lastly, did you provide ur own account statement? If you did, how much was ur closing balance?

Yes, I have obtained an undergraduate education

Opted for a graduate certificate program which is relating to my work experience as I presently work in a Fintech company.
Predator188:

But C OF O is not POF...

25yrs of age working i will assume that you must have obtained your undergraduate
Education...
So what program are you going for undergraduate or graduate studies!

Choice of programm to study in Canada..
Your work experience?

Eligibility started on the 30th of march before the refusal which is two weeks apart
KellyKk:

Order your GCMS note to know exactly what wrong . Everything you stated above are generic reasons. Your note will tell you wetin the VO want from u in your next app

Secondly you submitted ur app last month on 5th
Did ur eligibility review ever start before decision is made ?

1. Tuition fee-15290 cad
2. I'm not self sponsored, my sis is my sponsor who paid the tuition deposit which they requested for half.
3.i submitted a 6 months bank statement which is very high transacting and had a closing balance of 9.5m

My program is a 2 year program
amila20042001:
How many years is your program?

How much is your tuition fees for a year?

Are you self sponsored or you have a sponsor?

How many months bank statement did you submit and how is the inflow/outflow? Regular or one off?

Hello guys, my study permit application just got refused due to:

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.

How do I tackle it?

Paid my first term tuition fee and also submitted a high transacting bank statement with a transaction history of over 100m and a closing balance of 9.5m.

Also, I'm 25 years of age and presently working. I really don't understand what they meant by refusing me on personal asset?

I submitted my dad c of o which is quite worth a lot.

How do I tackle this?

My candid advice is to go through the old portal or use the MBS. I eventually had to use to old portal coz I wanted every scanned documents to be clear and well detailed

Hello Nairalanders!

I am trying to submit an application on the new portal but I noticed that the maximum size of document I can upload is now 2mb *serious gbege*
I have tried using series of App to compress the files but I am not getting good results.

Please, I need suggestions!

(Sterling and FCMB)
Thanks. Also, would it be advisable to use the old ircc portal since it has a limit of 4mb and delete my account from the new portal or has anyone chipped other documents on the consent icon column and gave reasons for it and granted visa
PrinceAdeAde:

Pls use myBank Statement i.e MBS. That elimiates the need to upload scanned files and most banks in Nigeria offer it as a service though you may have to go to a big or head office branch as thier outland branches have no clue they offer the service

Which bank is the statement for?

Hello Gurus, I am presently unable to upload my proof of fund doc as it is 3.5mb. I intended submitting two bank statement (2.1mb and 1.4mb). Is there anyway around it to upload. It is important to note that compressing below this size would not make the pdf's clear enough.

I read about webform but do not know the process around it or uploading on the consent column. I really need an honest opinion as I'm really lost as we speak

University of Windsor (M.sc management) if too costly, you can try UCW(MBA) but not well ranked and also check out some colleges that offer 2 years PGC for biz related or govt related program.

Very certain of gaining admission into most management programs but it is very costly. College should be the last resort if it is too universities are too costly for management programs

Pls can you help me with schools that I can apply too for Msc HRM. I just want a 2 years course my brother.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by tosynn007: 5:55pm On Jan 16, 2022
@aOlashile, I also graduated with a 4.16 cgpa and was once in your shoes. Like you know, applying for a government related program (Pol. Sci and Public administration) is very competitive as most schools require a first class degree. I eventually had to switch to a business related program. If you feel you have enough time on your side, you can keep applying. a old time pal just began an MSC in HRM because she was unable to secure admission. Like I don't mean to discourage you but remember time is precious. Opt for a PGC(D) in Pol.sci/ Pad or switch to Biz
