LegendHero:
Number 3 is the most useless of the prayers.

If 25% is so important, then any candidate can just concentrate on Abuja and make sure by hook or by crook other candidate don’t have 25%.

So if you like win the remaining 36 states, if I can win only FCT, I will continue to force INEC rerun everytime.

Does that make sense to you?
grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Presidential Election Tribunal: Peter Obi's 5 Prayers by totit: 1:57pm On Mar 21, 2023
LegendHero:
Peter Obi files petition against Tinubu’s victory, seeks five prayers. He filed the petition at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja, at about midnight on Tuesday.

The petition, jointly filed by Mr Obi and the Labour Party as co-petitioners, joined the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mr Tinubu, Shettima Kashim (vice president-elect), and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the respondents.

This was on front page earlier but the actual items in the petition is not included so I am bringing the summary of the petition.

1. Tinubu/Shettima not qualified to contest:
Mr Obi urged the Presidential Election Petition Court to “determine that at the time of the presidential election held on 25 February, 2023,” Messrs Tinubu and Shettima “were not qualified to contest the election. ”

2. All votes for the two should be voided:
He prayed the tribunal “to determine that all the votes recorded for” Mr Tinubu “in the election are wasted votes, owing to the non-qualification” of the president-elect and Mr Shettima.

3. They didn't score 25% in FCT:
“That it be determined that the 2nd Respondent (Mr Tinubu) having failed to score one-quarter of the votes cast at the Presidential Election in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was not entitled to be declared and returned as the winner of the presidential election held on 25 February, 2023.”

4. Order Fresh election in which Tinubu/Shettima should be barred from participating:
Mr Obi prayed the tribunal to make “an order cancelling the election and compelling the 1st respondent (INEC) to conduct a fresh election at which the 2nd Respondent (Tinubu), 3rd respondent (Shettima) and 4th respondent (APC) shall not participate.”

Sore emotional losers.

Recognizing the supremacy of God in appointing leaders is a hallmark of Christianity.

I respect the RCCG now more than ever, among many other ministries that refused to be dragged into blindly endorsing a weak and inferior candidate like Obi based on religious sentiments.
Bitter losers. They can't shoulder disappointing such a bunch of babies in adult bodies.

But you Ibos were not this pained when Obi lost the presidential election. How come the Lagos election pains you more? Is there a dark agenda you have for Lagos? Do you see it as the crown jewel that should grace your crown?
I don't get it. This wailing is getting too much.

C’mon it’s one Nigeria.

Anyone can become governor anywhere so far they are Nigerian citizen
and people vote for them. Gbadebo speak Igbo fluently, his mom and wife are Igbo and even tho he is Yoruba through the father's side, Igbo people are not tribalist and they don’t care about where anyone comes from.

So far you are competent, you can govern any Igbo state.
This is a welcome idea. Yes, it is true, anybody can aspire for a political post anywhere in Nigeria, and, Chimedu being half Ibo is a plus for him in Alambra.

What great news for the good people of Alambra, the LP louts have been tamed and crushed in that state, and their wings cut off.

When Yorubas were disenfranchising non indigenes, were they asking where we were from, they just had a blanket hatred for anything not Yoruba.... They even disenfranchised fellow Yorubas who they felt looked like Igbos

In the coming days, this issue would have blown into the streets and Yorubas would feel the heat.

We don't want to see you around our neighborhood again. We accomodate you guys to live and benefit from our land, but we are repaid with hatred and tribalism in your region
