Come on, I'm just asking you a friendly question.. grin grin grin
I don’t have a security detail but I am currently in a police secured 5 star hotel. I have a personal driver that drives me round town anytime I am going out. He was well recommended. I don’t stay later than 6pm outside. I also try to blend in buy not wearing expensive clothing.

An average civil servant earning minimum wage won't dare take a cab that cost that much...you probably took an uber,

be sincere, how much would it have cost in where you came from?

this is not a rhetorical question.
probably 13$ minimum wage is $15per hr. 13k in Nigeria is 43% of MONTHLY MINIMUM WAGE. Do the maths

You’ve never been here so you don’t know how worse things have been over the years so stfu!!
Samantha124:
You were born and raised in Nigeria and you only left for two years, but now you're already acting like you left Nigeria for 20 years with your nagging.. grin grin grin

Get off your high horse and face reality... You're busy asking how Nigerians survive as if you don't know... I've never been to Nigeria before, but I don't see myself ever asking such a question even if I do visit one day because already nairaland has given me an idea of some things to expect when visiting the country.

I landed Nigeria yesterday from the US after 2years of Japing. Nothing seems to have gotten better, things have become very worse! How exactly do people live here in Nigeria? So many people begging you for money. Gosh, I can stay in this country for longer than 3 weeks. I can’t! I just cant!!!
The cab i took from the Airport to my apartment charged my 13k for a 35 mins drive It got me wondering how civil servants with families survive in this country considering how expensive things have become and salaries are constant.

We are not a nation of barbarians. Your question is condescending. So, you don't read news, you don't have people in Nigeria?

2 years out of Nigeria, you are already feeling like the next big thing after sliced bread. No be your fault, it's the UK promo that gives you chance, and policy change is about to be announced tomorrow by the UK home secretary.

Stop gloating

It's not as bad as it sounds in nairaland but still be careful.

I'm currently in my home state Anambra and will be here for a few more days. I can say it's relatively peaceful except for border towns.

First thing I've noticed is that state and non state folks are taking advantage of ipob uprising to commit crimes, settle scores and take vendetta actions for business and political deals gone wrong just like in the times of bakassi boys.

Be safe by blending in and limiting your outreach as soon as you land.
Thanks boss. I will be spending 3 weeks. I plan to blend in definitely. Gonna be Driving Same old car, uber sometimes, etc

I was listening to the radio and the discussion is on this.

Story1: naija man in US had argument with the wife n she called police that he wants to kill her. Police came, arrested him n after releasing him, asked him to stay away from his wife for 30days. He was staying with his guy, but on the 25th day, the wife called and begged him to return home that she have realized her mistakes. He went and they were discussing when police knocked at the door, she asked him to go n hide in the room. Police asked the wife if he has come home, she said no and the police requested a search, he was found in the toilet. You know the rest of the story

Story2
Oga took his wife to US for holiday and she absconded because she do not want to return to Naija

Story3
A man took his wife to the UK, the wife framed him up, he was arrested. Then the wife filed for asylum, reason that if she return to Nigeria, her inlaws will kill her. Luckily for the man the police knew her plans and sent them both to Nigeria. The man then divorced her

Other stories like men doing house chores etc

With all these stories, a matured mind is needed to confirm and advise
The lady in story 2……Life will tire her wella

What kind of a country is Nigeria? This is tribalism at it’s peak. Terrorist Gunmi, Patami and Criminal Abba Kyari are walking freely because they are northerns. Damn I regret ever being a Nigerian.
Chiwetala Agu was wearing a Biafra attire not IPOB or ESN attire. Damn what a usesless country

Family / Re: "Virginity Doesn't Guarantee A Successful Marriage" Is A Statement Of Stupidity by Tourist123: 5:21pm On Oct 03, 2021
lawkenoz:
40 secs man don drop quote. You want virgin so that she won't compare your weak arse game with better gbola abi? grin grin grin grin grin your analogy and comparison doesn't even make sense to begin with.

Virginity is a virtue which is dependent on your moral or religious value. Some men like the olosho you hate why? Cuz she dey knack well and sex is all he cares about, some men love the borehole you dismiss.

Virginity disappears once the hymen is gone. After it leaves what remains is what matters. The Oloshos of today were virgins of yesterday.

Virgin can turn olosho anyday, Nigerians aren't the most disciplined people on the planet after all....we rank highest for porn watching, google exposed us, so that your virgin is probably waiting to use it to mugu you! After all she knows you're likely not a virgin yourself and will use it to make you loose guard....by the time you realise what's happening, your gateman is chopping the kpomo you thought was your sole proprietorship.

Small children wey never marry go dey make noise noise about upandan.
reminds me of my Virgin ex those days. We were in a serious relationship and planned in getting married, because I was sure she would be my wife, I decided to devirgin her. Omo na so this girl begin knack her next door neighbor o. When I discovered I asked her why? She said she wanted to know what it feels like to do it with other ppl. Lol Imagine we had gotten married.
Marriage is a big deal and anybody that prioritizes Virginity over Love, good moral conduct and SENSE is heading for doom

I don't trust men who lack control of their tongue.
Same reason i have zero respect for Nnamdi Kanu and his new minion Simon Epka, Men who plan war on Twitter and radio stations.

The fulani herdsmen you call illetrates are actually smarter than the Finis military trained Ipob leaders...
