If U hv a zlt odu that U are not using , pls I need the idu

Hello Nairalanders,

This is what I just noticed in my friend's house each time I visit. His mother in law actually came to do omugwo, taking care and staying with the baby when his mum has gone to work. but to my surprise, I discovered she is the one doing the house chores, sweeping, watching both the husband's (my friend) clothes and the wife's clothes together with the baby's clothes.

She cooks and serves everybody's food while the wife only give the food to the husband. The wife seldom enter the kitchen even on weekends when everyone is around. I told my friend about my observation and he said he feels it strange to him too.

Please nairalanders how do you understand this scenario whether is normal or abnormal. The mother in-law is yoruba and my friend also is Yoruba.

I can confirm that SmartCash did have some issues today which was eventually fixed, batch by batch. I had trouble logging in but all good now.

Yes I can confirm 3G gives great speeds here too. But only when network is great.

Infact since this morning 4G speeds tanked. Only 3G is giving up to 5Mbps at the moment

Currently in modakeke osun state, i carry my odu with me , check my speed, no 4g and 5g in my current location but there is 3g , 5 phones connected ,

My PC screenshot the router has two different network 2.5ghz and 5ghz

This is 5ghz usage the one of 2 is around 19gb so totally worth it in my opinion

I have 3phones .. 1android and 2 iPhones .. this is one of my phone data usage, if I get home I will check my PC for my data usage.. lot of ppl do connect to my odu .. . Most times I use up to 1tb monthly

Get the power tank 320k .. and solar panel 150k

You can power your PC if you have a solar panel connected to it , I will advise to us 150 to 200 watts max with it, U will enjoy it

Oh my God. Airtel will turn us all to something else. So I applied your solution to my terrible network situation and seems to work.

After each cycling between 3G, 5G & 4G only network seems to improve alot.

If dem explain Airtel to you & u understand then u probably didn't listen well 😂

it's working on some devices and on others, It says connected, no Internet.

Is network issues.. it has been happening for some weeks now .. U have to keep on restart like 3 to 5 times b 4 it works .. or go to network and change to 3g or 5g or 3g/4g... It will connect.. after it has connected U can change it your preferred network mode

I logged into the ODU settings, went to~ System -> Developer options, : Under 4G Band Lock, I unchecked all bands and only selected Band 3.

I got:

SINR ~12
RSRP ~-65

from

SINR ~3
RSRP ~-90

Speed shot to over 20Mbps from something that was epileptic between 0.X and 4.X



My Router only has the following bands available:
Band 1
Band 3
Band 7
Band 8

Did that solve your problems?

Wrong. It’s actually location dependent. Although Band 7 is generally the best (20MHz), in some areas, Band 3 is better.

I also think DL/UL speeds depend on the mostly used band in your location. The mostly used band will mostly have a lower DL speed.

There was a time the Band 7 in my location became terrible. Band 3 (+8 and sometimes +8+1) saved me during the period with good speeds because I got very strong reception.

Band 7 is back now and it doesn’t even aggregate but it’s way smoother and stable and 48+mbps. Band 3 still aggregates and gives me higher speeds but not as smooth as the B7 solo.

These were all with the same 5G band with good reception.

For u to say i am wrong, pls answer those question what type of odu ar u using? How many states hv u been to with ur odu and which states do you stay

It was blazing when it was installed this evening.

In fact I made a whatsapp call and got voice clarity better than I ever imagined, download was mad.

Then later this evening until now, it became snail speed.

Even when speed improves a little, it is epileptic.

Is there any settings I should change to improve speed?

Just see the speed tests.

U can change your network if it in auto, u can put in in 4g or 5g and try all the band to know the fastest

I have finally dumped that Airtel ZLT X25 (Base) 5G Router and joined your league.

Airtel ZTE G5FA+MF296A ODU just got installed this evening.

Is there any improvement in your speed?

Na me lock am to 7,, all the band was ticked wen i got it .. band 7 is the-best

Band 3 wont give u good speed .. i only use band3 when i want to upload large files on my youtube page , band 3 is only good for uploading because it has more upload speed

Bros calm down, this is so false. The issues with the Sims boils down to how the sims were provisioned during registration. I have 2 ODU lines and I can say it for free that one works better than the other, infact with the particular good sim I rarely have downtime, while the other sim just jumps from one issue to the other, note that I have tested them on the same router and same position and the difference in performance is like night and day. So I simply dumped the troublesome sim and am using the good sim with no issues.
NB: Both ODUs came with sim cards originally.

This has nothing to do with sim swap I just used my second odu's sim in my other odu. Airtel can be complicated, my odu that hasn't been working, I just put a normal airtel sim inside and it's browsing but it's not browsing with its own airtel sim with unlimited plan

Everyone with dere own luck they carry ….i hv seen ppl that did the same and developed problems

I can relate with the issue he is facing, I have a zlt that works fine with a physical sim from my Huawei odu and I also put it in my mifi when I am moving around. I am out of Lagos now and I have put my sim back into the Huawei odu but I don't get past 10kb or at times it just uploads in kb no downloads at all and I have reset more than ten times, I switch between the Internet and wap apn, lock bands etc. nothing works. I removed the sim from the Huawei and put it back into the zlt and it worked immediately(in the same location). I also have a colleague that uses zte and is facing the same issue.

All this will give U problem.. to my findings most people that are facing one of two issues with their odu are the ones doing Sim swapp , very soon it won't work again and U will start complaining

I have been to that area couple of times...
that is the type of odu I am using, you shouldn't b having problem with it, that is one of the best odu ... Pls answer those questions

Can it be unlocked? I'm thinking of using a glo network there. Glo is really good here by the way. But I don't just want to go and buy another device if I can unlock this one to use all networks.

I have been to osogbo with my odu more then 7 times different locations.and the speed was super fast... What type of odu are U using.. were are U in osogbo

I think the zlt always develop fault on the long run .. my indoor 2.4g has stopped working... What happened to your indoor unit

Looks like a location issue and probably not the fault of the ODU. In any case, try selecting 3G only and see if it helps. Also, call 300 and complain to their supervisors.

Na @Tover dey enjoy that specific ODU, he may have something to say.

My odu dey serve me 1000 percent , I will recommend it any time any day .. more than 15 ppl don buy odu because of me and they are enjoying it

Hey guys, please I need your advice. I’m planning to buy itel powertank from CDcare, but I’ve been seeing reviews online saying they might increase the price to ₦400k after the first payment and i am not planing to pay above the price on there site

I intend to pay ₦200k upfront and then spread the balance over the next 6 months.

Please, do you think I should go ahead with it? Ppl that hve gotten tinz from cdcare pls what is your review and advice
