Obviouslyblunt: the Airtel guy I got my router from, with whom I’m also planning to get another ODU router from. He told me Airtel is planning a price increase next week to the routers. I don’t know how true it is but it’s just something I was told. I don't believe this, I think he is Saying this just to make more sales |

NSEstudent: Does X17U not have filters?
Not sure if X17M has guest login.
Most of the specs don't matter because data is just 50mbs. For G5F, the difference between its network/signal reception and that of X17M I tested it against, is quite significant. it has just normal filters blacklist and whitelist , when. It comes to backup, I don't think anyone Airtel router come close to this . With more then 10 active device, when I say active, they are all downloading or streaming are the same time , I still get more than 5.30 hours .. |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Tover: 6:48pm On Jan 28 |
moremuch1: Pure specs, X17M clears it, you can look it up online to see Apart from filters and guest log in... Wat esle can U do on x17m that I can't on my 17u... |

Gidah: I guess switching from esim to physical Sim was the start of my issue.Firstly my old subscription was active when I did the switch so when the sub end and I was trying to do another ,after loading airtime on the Sim card it took little less than 48hrs before they were able to activate it . I was spamming them with calls ,they first took the credit off the line without it browsing it took another 4 hrs before I got a msg the subscription its active . But the first 4 days was ,good speed blazing 50Mbps stable until few min before Arsenal vs Man u . I’m very happy that you acknowledge that the cause of the slow network speed is switching from eSIM to a physical SIM. I will never advise anyone to change from eSIM to a physical SIM |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Tover: 2:41pm On Jan 28 |
Obviouslyblunt: that’s what I’m also considering and will do. I’ll keep that one as a backup device for rainy days.
No be only Airtel go come carry your device if you no sub. 😂 . 😂 |

Unfaized: Omo Starlink is 600k o with subscription fee more than double that of Airtel and without ups.
Airtel is basically free. You can easily get another one with the next month sub if you wish. U get brain 🧠 , I am thinking of buying another one instead of paying 25k for subscribing |

moremuch1: This is the x17U, a downgrade of X17M , it has a lot of complaints from this thread, it's only selling point is the battery life which is way better than the X17M, if that's the only device available, he should get it , but if there's another model available, he shouldn't get this My own x17u as Been serving me ,it is very good and my work depends on it , the speed is fast, downloading files, to updating of operating system to streaming and uploading of files on YouTube, I have minimum of 6 devices connected always, so I can recommend it anyone |

enoch5553: No oh. This problem has been since. Before I even got a physical SIM. It started on the 12th
Me swapping to Physical SIM was literally a last ditch effort when band locking, cell locking, moving it around didn't work. And Airtel themselves have proven unable to fix it for the past 10days now If that is the case, the only solution is for you to do another Sim registration, take it back to were U got it from tell them you want to register another Sim , your odu Sim is the problem, I don't think it can be fixed because I Neva see person way get his own fixed ..they all registered another hbb Sim, and they are now enjoying it .. |

enoch5553: 1. I've tried all bands (1,3, 7, All of them give me good network but the same speed at 1-2 mbps
2. I don't think my area can be considered a new site, It's at egbeda, Lagos side
3 I just did a sim swap from eSIM to physical today
4. Yes, It's goes fine at about 20mbs with my normal Airtel SIM.
5. Inside, But I've tried moving it around my house and area even to another street but same thing
6. Yes You can find your answer in points 3, 4, and 6. The problem started when you swapped from eSIM to a physical SIM. Most people around me who are having network issues are those who did a SIM swap. I’ve been telling people that if you want to enjoy your ODU, don’t swap from eSIM to a physical SIM—it’s a 50/50 risk. If you really want to enjoy your ODU, get another router SIM. If U are getting more than 20mbps with normal Sim, that should tell you that your unlimited sim is the problem and not the odu or network |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Tover: 10:50pm On Jan 24 |
twosquare: I am not using ODU....it is the Airtel router 5g.
I may test the sim with a universal router to see if it is better than the one Airtel provided. Change the location.. till you get a better place |

enoch5553: Feedback on this😭😭 I've swapped it to physical SIM and I'm still getting the same speeds 1mbps
Guys I don't know what to do again I need U to answer those few questions 1..Wat band are U on 2. Is Ur area a new site 3. Did you do a Sim swap from eSim to physical Sim or U registered a new hbb Sim 4.. have U tried inserting normal Sim card and browse with it 5. Do U have it mounted outside your inside 6. Do you get good phone signals on phone using Airtel sim |

twosquare: 3mb/s...but it suddenly stopped connecting...so I had to changed to 7...right now, I am getteing 10mb/s 10mbps is too small ... Try and change the location of your odu and test the speed |

lilclin: cc: NSEstudent cc: Tover cc: morikee Yes but wait for people with more experience to reply For you to get a odu 5g Sim.. U have to register it has hbb and scan the imel on the odu carton, that is when U will get a odu Sim , normal sim registration won't give U router plan .. |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Tover: 5:10pm On Jan 24 |
twosquare: I've changed to band 7 despite the two bars...3 is disappointing despite the bars...I am just testing around. If not satisfied, I will revert to the default of checking all bands and save it like that. What speed are you getting |
