My honest 3-week review of my ZLT 17U router:
So far, it has been very good—much better than my 4G router. When downloading large files with the 4G router, I usually get a maximum speed of about 2 Mbps. However, when I tried the ODU network to download a 35 GB file, I got a speed of 5.24 Mbps.
I mostly use it at work, and it is faster and more reliable than the 4G router. I can connect more than five phones at the same time and still browse smoothly. I download files, update apps, and stream simultaneously without any issues.
I really hope it continues this way—or even gets better.

I think y'all shouldn't band lock but cell lock only.

First remove cell and band lock, go to system status and check for all available cells and bands in your location then lock only the cells with this highest numbers. The higher the cell number the closer the cell tower to you.

My case is cell 3400, 3250 and1876 and band 7,7 and 3. All I did was lock just cell 3400 and 3250. Don't lock bands and you're good.

I took my ODU router to test it at my elder brother’s house. Since it’s a new area, he has been experiencing network issues across all available networks. I went there hoping the ODU would make a difference, but to my surprise, when I locked the router to Bands 3 and 8, the signal strength on the router page was full and it even showed 4G+. However, the speed was only about 500 kbps. When I switched to Band 7, it showed “no service,” yet the speed increased to around 800 kbps. Is there any solution to this?

I did, Only Band 3, 7 are available in my area. So I tried both but same thing

No don't choose the 2 at the same time......... Pick only one band and test your network it will improve

You may need to find another router that will serve your purpose. The initial aim is to not go to the router page all the time. As an SE, you should know the principle of DRY.

That is my next plan.. but the problems now is I have to look for some1 that will help me to buy it.. because we don't have Airtel office in my location

I got in contact with another supervisor about 3 hours ago, She said that she will escalate it to Airtel HQ (Don't know how true that is) and I should wait 24 hours, that she assures me that it will work so I'm waiting on that now

The day you posted about this, I advised you to use whitelist. That way you don't have to worry about checking who's using it, only those who you authorized can use it. It doesn't matter if someone is authenticated, if they are not authorized, they won't use your data.

The problem is that... I used it at home and work... I am a software engineer.. so I connect clients phone and PC everytime .. the stress of going to my router page to add new device to my whitelist all the time will be a little stressful for me .. I will try is Sha ..

If you have the Huawei you can manage connected devices(speed limit, time based connection, parental control) via the app, you can also create a guest wifi.

Ppl way dey use Huawei dey enjoy o ; my own zlt don't have all this functions it only has url filters and blacklist and whitelist ... I wished it has speed limit for ppl way connect to my router and time bases connection, I don blacklist almost 4 phones ..and I will still blacklist more .. any time I noticed a strange device I blacklist... The few ppl I gave my password are the one sharing it.. to other ppl without telling me ...

The most funny part is that the phone will be connected to my router but won't browse

This is the way i have been paying since the 20mbps plan i will first buy Airtime with Smartcash PSB to my other none Router Airtel sim to get 10% Bonus then use the Airtime buy the plan using airtime for the router sim this save 2.5k for the ODU plan and 3k for the 20mbps plan

He messaged me on January 13th, as early as 6am, claiming he could help me change my Airtel alternative number. During my SIM registration, my MTN line was used as the alternative number because my younger brother helped me with the registration.
On this platform, some people have complained that Airtel stops subscriptions when MTN is used as an alternative number, so I made a post asking if anyone knew how to change it. That was when morikee messaged me, offering to help.
He initially asked for ₦7,000, but we later agreed on ₦5,000. I sent him ₦2,000 to start, with the agreement that I would complete the payment after the change was done.
Later that same morning, I checked Nairaland and discovered that this same person has the exact problem and had also posted asking how to change his own alternative number to Airtel
I then went to the Airtel office to confirm. The Airtel staff told me to leave it as it is, since my subscription is still working. Based on that advice, I messaged morikee and asked for a refund. I even told him to keep ₦1,000 and refund ₦1,000, but he refused to refund anything.
I’m sharing this so that he doesn’t message someone else here and collect money under false claims.

You have to get your hands dirty and set up filtering. You should blacklist those ones or better still, use whitelist and list only the ones you want to continue using your Wi-Fi.

This is easy with my ZTE MC801A, which is IDU for my G5F. No one else connects to my home wifi - 2.4Ghz and 5GHz. I set up guest Wi-Fi which allows exactly only one device at any given time.

I wished the zlt z17u has this settings .. ppl Re just tapping any how ..u will give one person Ur password next tin U will notice is that the person don share am give like 10 ppl .. because is unlimited...

I honestly don't understand why it's a problem because even in the past i remember using MTN as my alternate number even my Airtel number on my Mifi i used MTN as alternate number and I've not had any problems with it and i also used my email when i registered...even got OTP on the email

Does anyone know how I can change my alternate phone number? My MTN number was used because I was not present during the registration.

I just got my own odu ... Network is very bad at home as expected... But at work still normal... There must be a way to make this fast .. it has 3g but I don think the 3g will be as good as the 4g router
