I've changed to band 7 despite the two bars...3 is disappointing despite the bars...I am just testing around. If not satisfied, I will revert to the default of checking all bands and save it like that.

I use band 3 only when uploading large files on my channels Band 3 has more upload speed than band7

Read through some of the discussions here on band locking.

Band 3 is the strongest where I am (4 bars)

Band 7 (just 2 or 1 bar).

Locked to 3 alone...

Choose what's best for you .. I am on band 7 it has just 2 bar at work and 4 at home .. band 7 is faster than band 3 in my area ..

When it comes to battery I think the zlt x17u is fine. 5hours plus with 5 Devices connected to it ..

Unclick all the band on 4g and click on one band at a time and press ok , after that check your speed .. but band 7 should be the best with good network

I put my normal SIM inside and it works. I'm getting the full speed. About 22mbps

Your eSIM is the problem, you can get a new physical sim and registered it with the odu details , your problem will be solved

I don't think my ODU comes with a normal SIM. Just opened it to check now and there's no SIM inside

Yes a physical sim don’t come with the odu but there is a space for physical sim,

Normal Airtel sim works very well, After all that's my main provider

It's just this ODU that's giving me this issue

Use the normal sim on the odu... If it works that means your eSim is a having problem,

I think you should be able to add mtn as your alternative number... because after 8days of using my odu .. Airtel cc called me on my MTN line , and the cc did not tell me to change my alternative number... So I think MTN is fine as alternative number

Update on this

Nothing worked,
Moved it to the roof - nothing
Moved it outside - nothing
Tried every corner of my house - nothing
Band lock, Cell lock - nothing

And mind you this thing was going at 25mbps when I first got it

Either way this is the 12th day this thing has been going on had to subscribe on other devices for my work since the only thing the WiFi could do was stream.

I've called airtel each day within this 12 day period, kept on being told random deadlines from 24 hours to 72 hours to escalating to network engineer to escalating to HQ.

Within those 12 days no one from Airtel could tell me the reason until I managed to wrangle it out of one day before yesterday that apparently there's a packet loss in my area (Don't know how true that is or maybe the dude was just lying).

Currently I even think that they've marked my number because I called today twice, I escalated to supervisor twice then was kept on hold for upwards of 40minutes twice until the call cut itself. Had to use a separate number (Maybe I'm just paranoid tho)

Either way, I don't think I'll resubscribe for this. if when I pay for a 30 days subscription I'll only be able to use half before whatever this is occurs again (Although I was told that I'd be compensated when fixed but who knows). I've also reported to ncc (Don't know if that'll do anything after all na Naija we dey) and will post my experience on X cause I see other people experiencing the same thing

Unfortunately there's no MTN FibreX in my area so I'll just switch back to my previous ISP which is wifi.com. It's kinda just as slow but at least I get decent speeds towards the night and early morning.

Wat a sad experience... Are U using a physical Sim or eSim , may be U should try it in another location...I mean the next str or very far to your house

My Airtel Odu has been showing connected without internet since Tuesday. Please how do I resolve this? I went to Airtel office and they couldn't resolve it, I was told to register for e-sim and do a new subscription. Whereas my current subscription on my physical sim was done on the 10th of this month

U can try another location.. watch out for the service bar on the router page

Experienced about 10-15 minutes of no service after which network went from 50mbps down to barely 200kbps.

I did not experience any network issues here o... At that moment, I was updating 2 phones at the same time , 17 and 17promax to latest iOS for file transfer...and some phones are also connected, and everything dey go smoothly , without delay

U should.. U can also try indoor , this is were I put my odu .. I get better speed in that location than most places in my compound

U don't mean it .. I should be the one complaining about network because network is very poor in my area , have U tried the band lock? Make sure your odu is facing the mast , choose only one band at a time

The band 3 and 8 are very useless.. I am very sure of band 7 and can 1 or 2 network bar..the speed will be good

That's what I did .. I leave only the 7band and I have been enjoying it , but band 8 has more upload speed than the 7, I use the 8 when ever I want to upload a video of 2gig on my YouTube channel.. is very sweet

But based on the router, these are the only bands i can lock.

Focus on the 4g band... Unclick all the band .. and click on only band7 click on ok .. and check the network speed, when doing this make sure the odu is facing the Airtel mast if you are not sure if the mast location, you can move it around your house ...if band 7 did not work .. check the band one after the other

I've tried band locking each band one by one, The only one that got me some semblance of speed were the bands that forced my network to 3g, When doing so i got 11mbps thereabout but it was pretty incosistent, Those were bands 20, 28, 38, 41

U have 5g network in your area , you shouldn't be having network issue., screenshot the list of band in your area leeme see
