Unfulfilled Dreams of Late Nigerian Prostitutes' President Jessica Elvis, What You Didn't Know About Her By now, you have all heard that a lady named Jessica Elvis who is believed to be the President of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, is dead. Just this August, the Lady reportedly said that her dream is to sleep with soccer star Ronaldo and singer Wizkid and that she must achieve it before she retires. Unfortunately, Jessica is dead now. The queen of the Nigerian red-light district was based in Ikotun, Lagos but reportedly died in a hospital in Edo state following an illness. Before her demise, Jessica was famous for always leading protest advocating for the rights of Nigerian prostitutes. She was until her election as the new president of NANP recently, the longest serving secretary of the body, between 2002 to 2015. She took over from the former President, Madam Efoyo. Before her death, Jessica has one confidant in the media in the person of Ameh Comrade Godwin who equally broke the news of her death on Sunday, October 25th, 2015. Above is allegedly one of the photos of her back which she allowed the reporter take for public view, as she obviously didn't want to disclose her identity to the media for security reasons. Here is what she recently told the reporter when she warn the election as the President of NANP; "I want to let people know that you don’t have to work in NNPC or Central Bank before you make it in life. As the new president of NANP, I will make sure our members are well taken care of. I will ensure all our offices across the 36 states of the federation start functioning. I will also make sure all registered members get ID card. "As you can see, the world has gone global and we should also follow the trend; in this regard, we have proposed to launch a new website which will have the profile and contacts of all our registered members across the country. If anyone is in need of our service, all you need to do is to go online and make your choice," Jessica enthused. She continued; "Secondly, I will also fight for the freedom and security of our members. We’ve heard of cases of our members being molested and killed. It is callous. We will have to stop all that. I will also try to approach the new government on how to make life better for us. We supported the president during his campaign. We even declared free sex when he won and we expect him to reciprocate by looking into our plight. We are also part of the society." On why she would like to make love to Real Madrid and Portuguese soccer star, C Ronaldo as well as Nigerian music sensation, Ayo Balogun, otherwise known as Wizkid before she retires. She said; "Yes! He (Ronaldo) is my crush. I love him so much that his pictures even turn me on (laughter). I use to tease my colleagues that I must sleep with him and Wiz Kid before I retire. "We (talking about Wizkid) have met on several occasions but he doesn’t know me. I even have a picture I took with him during a show in Eko Hotel, but he doesn’t know what I do." The deceased would never accept to be addressed by the term "Prostitute"; she preferred to be called a "Peacemaker" instead. She speaks about that; We are friends of the society. Call us peacemakers. National Association of Nigerian Peacemakers." Askedd if she regret choosing the profession, Jessica boasted of her pride in her job which she admitted has made her so wealthy. "Why should I regret what puts food on my table; built me houses in Lagos and Abuja and even trained my daughter in school? I have no reason whatsoever to regret...I have cars. I eat food of my choice. I have been able to put a roof on the head of my parents. I have properties across the country. I have clothing line and several other businesses," the deceased boasted. Jessica who also disclosed that her real name is Oluchi while she only traded under the moniker, Jessica says she gave birth to her daughter 15 years ago to her former husband before they parted ways and that the young girl doesn't know her father! Jessica stated that her bad marriage drove her into prostitution and that she now hates the word marriage with a passion. Jessica who told Ameh that her broken marriage was a blessing in disguise however explained that she was a firm believer of Jesus Christ. "I don’t miss church activities. Sometimes, I would declare fasting and prayer for business to come. Whenever I’m fasting, I don’t go out or ‘do’ that day. May her soul rest in peace! Gbagyi community members in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja yesterday staged a peaceful protest in front of the National Assembly expressing their disappointment at the non inclusion of an Abuja indigine in the ministerial list. Dressed in their traditional attire, the protesters called on President Buhari to have a rethink and include them in government appointments. "We are here to say we have been marginalized beyond what we can bear. We can not sit down and people come from all over the country to rule us as ministers. So we should have a minister like every other state. Also, we need a second tier government that will cater for the needs of the indigenes. Why we are here is because we don’t have our own House of Assembly. The National Assembly is our House of Assembly. It should not be. How can an Abaji resident reach Ask Rock Villa to complain. We should have a government that is closer to us, which is for the people and by the people. If our parents have endured this suffering for 39 years, we younger generation are saying no,” ” the leader of the group, Ezekiel Balatu, said http://www.splendormag.com/2015/10/photos-see-what-these-abuja-natives.html

Article written by journalist and PR expert Morakinyo Olugbiji. Enjoy... So, we have all been happy for Nigerian Reggae legend, Majek Fashek after returning from many weeks of rehabilitation following his battle with drugs and alcohol addictions. Thinking back to the heartbreaking situation the brilliant musician was in months back before respite came his way, I will never wish my number one enemy such. Thanks to billionaire Ayiri Emami who is believed to have single-handedly taken it upon himself to foot the bill of whatever it took to get the rain-maker back to sanity, even when all his so called friends initially shied from him. Ofcourse, many thanks also to the gentlemen of the press, especially Joseph Edgar who wrote that heartfelt article on his encounter with Majek Fashek who was then begging for 'Ogogoro' at Fadeyi. However, the joy we are all currently experiencing over his rehabilitation may soon be cut short if Majek Fashek is not well guided by those close to him who are supposed to guard him jealously. Majek Fashek had his come-back performance on Thursday at Felabration 2015 and the atmosphere was simply nostalgic! I was held spell bound as he dishes some of his popular songs such as "Africa's Unity", "Majek Fashek In New York", "Send Down The Rain" and a few others that gave me serious goose bumps and almost moved me to tears. Chai, addiction na bastard! I thought aloud! It's obvious the rain-maker still has his musical charms and I just couldn't help but imagine the huge talent that has all this years wasted away under the shackles of drug and alcohol addiction. With the performance I saw that night, I can proudly say that the rain-maker is back; but for crying out loud, why in the whole world would someone think of bringing a Majek Fashek who is fresh out of the rehab to hang around and perform in a place like Fela's shrine which reeks of all the appearance of almost everything that landed him in the rehab in the first place? It is common knowledge that addicts who just left treatment facilities are always advised to steer clear of environments and association that can trigger their cravings. A lot of time in rehab is focused on preparing people for the move back home–a transition that can be a perilous one if the client is not careful because the learning is far from over; the toughest challenges lie ahead of them. All the conditions that supported substance abuse may still be there, and the individual needs to be ready to face these. Staying away from alcohol or drugs while in rehab is made as easy as possible only because the client is protected from temptation and the whole focus of the environment is on helping them beat their addiction. However, going home means no longer having such favorable conditions to promote abstinence and any mistake to go back to the former lifestyle can end the person in a worse state than he or she was before checking in into the treatment facility. Therefore, when the thick smoke of 'Mary Jane' that danced all over the air inside the African shrine that night at every sound of Majek Fashek forced me to leave the venue immediately after his performance, my thoughts were with him throughout my journey back home. "They better get him out of that premises already or he will end up trying some wraps tonight," I thought to myself. And that's if they didn't actually offer him some that night, aside from the mass of the smoke from the air that must have saturated his system as he performed on that stage. And you know what the doctors warn about second-hand smoking being worse than even the actual smoking! I was like gosh! How can people be so careless with this man after all he has been through? You wouldn't ignite a fire at a fuel station, so why take Majek Fashek to a place like the New Afrikan Shrine? Atleast not at this early stage of his post-rehabitation. Here is deeply hoping that Majek Fashek's handlers will start being extremely careful and cautious henceforth so that (God forbid) they don't help him back to the rehab again..and that's if an Ayiri comes to his rescue this time around. We know how long it took for someone to finally decide to do something about his plight! At the ongoing Felabration last night, Fela’s Black-American lover, Sandra Izsadore (former Sandra Smith) took the stage in an unusual manner when she joined Newben Afrobeat Band from Chile and Femi Anikulapo-Kuti to perform her song with Fela, ‘Upside’. The Chilean Afrobeat band, with their sonorous voices and energetic Fela like movements publicly described why they loved Fela and all he stood for, worship the late Aba Mi Ede like true subjects. Fela's son, Femi Kuti thereby also led the band to pay homage to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti with burning candles. This band is not alone in its worship of the legend, as Femi explained that there are people around the world who have dedicated their lives to worship his late father Fela.
