Now the Belgian federation has released this statement.
I wonder what precedence it will set.

Infantino will ruin football if care is not taken.

Good analysis. The commentators observed same. I observe same. Bruno, Silva and Ronaldo have not been in this game because they have not exactly seen enough of the ball to do damage with.
Of the 3, Bruno has seen it more but not in areas where he does the most damage via final passes or shots.

But kudos to DRC for making it so as well. Their offball work have been tops and contributed to Portugal's struggles in attacking transitions.
Where that chelle voodoo meme.
Na Wetin cause am be that 😂

Tochukwu Nnadi is a press resistant demon! Hard to press or push off the ball. Strong lad.
Had a curling effort superbly saved

That is the much talked about Ayobami Junior. Attacking midfield player. I hear he is "officially" 28 or so.

To dey read all these world cup lists and news dey pain me especially when I think about our own players, what they could have achieved also,as we discuss other countries chances.

Osimhen+Akor,Lookman, fit Aina,in form Iwobi, supported by Onyeka and Ndidi,Bassey Marshalling our defense with either Frederickor Fernandez.
The only worry would have been goalkeeping department, Nwabali would still be my pick because of his form with the super eagles.

Our team would have done very well, possibly beyond second round.

@Elyte89, before you come for me,this tournament football, the super is always better in tournament football than qualifiers.
Very painful.
Na now the pain go begin hit when mundial fever is beginning to kick in

Became it somehow favours Nigeria? 🙄 To be fair the best option is to pick the 2nd place team from Iran group in the qualifiers, cos if it's an African team in this situation, I'll want them replaced by another African team.
Well, you also have a point

Using fifa rankings for the playoffs (if true) would be nice
The four highest ranked FIFA team that did not qualify, to fight for a spot
Italy, Denmark, Nigeria, Ukraine
This should be the best and most unbiased option.

There’s no law in FIFA that states a team that withdraws from a World Cup competition must be replaced by another team from the same continent…hence my prayer den say make Italy 🇮🇹 and Denmark 🇩🇰 win deir playoffs ,FIFA can use deir discretion to replace the team from any continent.. and from rumors earlier I heard they are looking at the highest ranked team in FIFA ;wc happens to be Italy 🇮🇹
FIFA should organize another playoff for top ranked teams that missed out from every continent

CAF should have stripped the title from Senegal the day of or when they had their initial assessment.

To come back 2 months later to change course is just very very poor from CAF.

Morocco will not feel like winners and Senegal has already celebrated.

No one really wins.
Exactly my thoughts.
They didn’t read article 84 during the game, a day after the game, a week after the game, it is 2 months after the final you remembered article 84. Congratulations to Morocco. Boardroom AFCON winners

Hi Great Thread of Nigerian Football, it is indeed a good day to be alive and be excited for what 2026 still promises.

Today is My Birthday and I want to remind everyone out there not to give up on whatever their dreams, aims, aspirations, project pursuits, goals, etc are.
Victor Osimhen did not and look at him today and his story is still not done. John Mikel Obi did not and now he is a bonafide Nigerian legend. Rashidi "Rasheed" Yekini did not and he remains the one of the pinnacles among African Strikers today.

Lastly, on a flip note, Elyte89 is still not giving up on his Super Eagles job dream despite we all knowing how impossible it is and he is also not giving up on Nigeria heading to USCAMEX 2026 World Cup, so honestly what excuse you get? grin

Cheers to me and Cheers to us all.... God Bless You.
Happy birthday bro
I wish you the best
