Ndipe: Ethiopian or not, Ebele is Ojukwu's adopted not biological daughter. She is stella's adopted daughter and ojukwu's biological daughter. |
zoogy2007: This Ezechukwu is just a trouble maker. In the part of Igboland where Ojukwu and I come from, an illegitimate son never inherits the 'OBU'. Sometimes I wonder why a full grown man would be waiting for his father to die so he can inherit his wealth.. It's very shameful. The question he is not the only illegitimate offspring of ojukwu. There are others as well, so why is he being singled out? |
dont worry, hope you wont end up in fisticuffs with some young upstarts when they call you old papa or grandpa. just a matter of time! |
and ancient benin didnt have old testament based symbolism no doubt. |
Sweetlemon: Let me also give another example of another lady who used to wear loose bubus, buba and iros, and other unflattering clothes in and out of her house. She noticed this bored air around her hubby and he used to drop hints around for her but she couldn't decode them.please follow up with 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, as many examples as possible of the exact same scenario. |
instead of arguing, you should learn. i've explained to you what you did, but you're more interested in justifying your rudeness. ma is a polite way of addressing an older person, as long as they have no problem with it. mama when directed at someone below your grandmother's age, is extremely rude and shows lack of home training. in short, toutish behaviour. |
na wa for you and i.diotic threads! you be eshu proper. |
well, if the fellow has a crush on me, do i tell him to stop crushing or what. did i ask him to start crushing? he waanks everytime he sees my post. i dont control what he does in the privacy of his bedroom, so he's free to waank at whatever he likes. |
Sweetlemon: I'm not poke nosing. Just learning from another woman's mistakes!from the way you keep badmouthing the woman while ostensibly being "concerned" for the man, i suspect you're either looking for a man, or are trying to replace whoever is currently filling that position. you have the hots for the husband perhaps? btw, usually when a nler keeps coming up with |
playah P: The relationship he had with his children matters a lot!.... Bianca stayed with him till he died! Even while he was on the hospital bed! If she was faking it, then she really did a good job! Ojukwu's children were not really that close to him (its like that with all these rich and polygamous men)... I don't doubt the will one bit!well, still begs the question if all his children werent close to him, then why was one singled out for what they all showed? |
Sweetlemon: Kai! Your case is even worse than I thought!just leave the man and his wife alone, end of. you can make up whatever you think justifies your pokenosing, and its starting to sound like you have your eyes on the fellow. are you always 100% dressed like a model 100% of the time? Then maybe you dont have any distractions at home!! |
Syncan: Completely out of point. You're not the only one experiencing family life herediscuss what you dont agree with in the post instead of taking everything personally. be civilized. |
this is why marriage isnt supposed to be for kids. think well, look well, pray well before venturing into it. when you wake up in the morning and see wetin you never saw while dating your 6 pack, [s]singlet wearing, sunshade displaying, tatooed[/s] partner, will you pick race? |
the son isnt necessarily contesting the will because of money [alone], but could also be the perceived attempt to rubbish him and deny him of his place among ojukwu's children. if he should let go and withdraw from the whole matter [not saying he shouldnt], then why shouldnt all the other kids do the same. |
Sweetlemon: I know we women don't like hearing the truth most esp when it concerns things like this, but your own case is serious. You berra @ least learn from this case so you don't make same mistakes when you marry. And don't tell me "my husband does not complain" or "my husband loves me the way I am" cos most men are not very good communicators and so will not tell you plainly how they feel sometimes because they don't want to hurt your feelings. But they show all the signs of their discomfort so it's left to us to learn how to decode themmen and women both have to learn from any case, dear. what you described sounds like a woman who is extremely stressed out and the husband doesnt seem to be helping. post baby blues is very real and he needs to understand it can be very tasking taking care of a baby especially if there's no assistance. Usually the mum in laws come around to help out immediately the baby is born, but you didnt mention anything like that. the woman could be having mastitis, where the breasts are very painful yet you still have to breastfeed the baby or at least express the milk to get relief. If she had tears during delivery, an older woman with her would have helped her apply the warm compress or steam bath to hasten recovery. there's a lot more to post natal care than just the smiling baby we see on tv ads. and yes, the husband's support is crucial. Or at least a family member/friend/neighbour to let her know she's not alone. besides, the husband can look bored at work also, or in the beer parlour. That is not the issue. |
izubros: he did not disown or disinherit his first male when alive only 2 do so in his will. Was ikemba a coward?or afraid of his first son?very weird. |
lmao, all these coders. |
if you dont understand, nothing wrong with that. no need to throw insults, just move on. |
i think this has been discussed before- nairaland seems to be cyclical. the serpent is a higher species than snake. serpent got demoted to snake after deceiving mankind in the garden of eden. doesnt mean there were no snakes in eden before the serpent appeared there- just that the serpent thereafter functioned at the level of a snake [lower and less honourable, like a reverse evolution so to speak]. therefore, the snake became the symbol for the serpent, hence the use in healing imagery. This is a throwback to the original function of the serpent, which involved healing in some way. The tree of life was also for healing. |
obadiah777: a pharisee i aint. i dont have that privilege. i am not a church leader.so not being a church leader automatically makes someone a saint and a non-pharisee? wrong conclusion. ![]() |
are you his boyfriend? |
OCTAVO: “Before we got married, she used to wear ‘Camisole‘ & ‘Bump-short‘ (she‘s got this charming and sexy appearance). but now she has 3 kids and she goes around tying wrapper in the house. The sight of wrapper irritates me a lot, i see it as a thing only illiterates do. I complained to her about how i feel. But she said she needs to be free at home. Her appearance is pissing me off.“strange!! women who wear shorts arent the type who also tie wrapper. something's off here, obviously!!! just another gbeborun thread! una no get work. |
and why is the man the type who likes shorts while the wife likes wrapper. sounds like he's a diasporan who went to the village to get a wife, and he's now complaining they have different tastes. |
^is he helping out with the baby and housework? She might not be getting enough sleep. puerperal psychosis is a real danger. |
seriously though, why is the oldest son being sidelined from the rest of ojukwu's children? is it a power tussle between the women who had kids for him? after all, he wasnt the only one born out of wedlock- in fact, most of the other kids were as well, someone correct me if i'm wrong. |
^obviously. i'm just waiting for her to start arranging the posse. |
there's probably another will floating around somewhere. people usually revise and update their wills periodically, nullifying previous ones. which one preceded this? |
@ insurgent makes sense. ojukwu was, after all, born and at least partly raised in the north. besides, there were quite a few northerners of partly southeastern, ssthern and midwestern origin who were raised wholly hausa with minimal or no input from their non-northern side. the war also further helped widen this gap. i wonder if one of those war memoirs [cant remember which one exactly] was based on these individuals. There was one by either achebe or ekwensi which described a northern woman who relocated to the east during the war, with her eastern husband, and she ended up being more pro-biafra than the husband himself. |
Ebele is actually part ethiopian. |
^ the lady is one who put her ( or somebody's) business out there for people to comment on. So drop the holier than thou. |
Youth could be someone under 20, someone under 30, or someone under 40, depending on the context. And generally speaking, to an 80 year old, anyone under 60 would still be a youth. |
