Nairaland GeneralRe: Iz Dancing In Your Room Alone? by tpia1: 9:20pm On Nov 30, 2012
CrazyMan: Do you dance to music, or do you just dance because you feel like dancing?

Note if you're dancing to a music, then its perfectly normal.

But if you're just dancing to nothing, then that explains why they (your house mates) sees you as some weird creature that just crawled out of the grave.

People have different hobbies...and from the way you sound, it seems you really love dancing...however I would suggest whenever you feel like dancing, put on some music so those around wouldn't begin to categorize you into the family weird psychos.

Good luck.
Of course the assumption here is someone is dancing to MUSIC in the privacy of their BEDROOM and some jackasses want to make it a big deal?

yeah, kind of freaky perhaps.

Christianity EtcRe: Apostle J. Ayo Babalola: The Most Used Picture In Nigerian Religious Cycle!!! by tpia1:
actually, it seems pentecostalism in nigeria was pioneered through the k & s church (according to one of their websites or something).

it was only later that K&S moved away from mainstream pentecostal preaching.

it would be good if somebody could have a discussion on that, instead of the constant bickering over other stuff.

now, are you saying CAC and not K&S were the pioneers?

@ siriney

can you post the history which verifies this claim, just curious.

i know CAC has been around for a long time, but i dont know the details.
Christianity EtcRe: Dear Christians, Are You Offended By This Painting? by tpia1: 7:16pm On Nov 30, 2012
i think i should add, the picture is more than what it appears to be.

its supposed to mimic a parody of a cross, but since its a hexagram by virtue of the coat positioning, its most likely a reference to sleeping cells and attacks on christians.

when you have this kind of ________ symbolism masquerading as a tasteless depiction to ostensibly "offend" christians, its usually just a cover up for what its actually saying.

red herring, so to speak. You're not supposed to know you're being attacked for your faith, or who is attacking you.

moonbaby: The best thing to do as a wife or anyone in a relationship (especially we ladies), is to just remain calm down anytime he is upset, raising your own voice could aggravate matter.

My mom used to tell me that when dealing with people, I have to “mo iwa fun oniwa”. Since you know he’s the temperamental being, just try and remain calm at all times.

I know it could be frustrating but you can never have two drivers in one car…
good points.

i'm trying to think back and see if any examples come to mind.
FamilyRe: Wives, How Do You Handle A Temperamental Husband. by tpia1: 7:01pm On Nov 30, 2012
nice topic.

folks tend to hype mild people as being the only type of marriageable husband, but i dont think that's true, since there are different temperaments and everyone cant be the same.

i'm sure there are fire breathing dragons who, while not being abusive, do happen to make good marriage partners, just that we dont hear about them that much.

and granted, such personalities might be prone to crossing that line more than if they werent temperamental, but that doesnt mean they cant be men who their wives wouldnt have any other way.
Christianity EtcRe: Picture Of A Deeper Life Couple On Their Wedding Day. by tpia1: 6:52pm On Nov 30, 2012
^let me guess:

you're female [or feminine]

you're looking for husband or want to replace your current boyfriend one

you're the type who wishes bad on your fellow woman because she did not make the same choices as you

you spend a significant amount of time eyeing other people and dreaming up crap to say about them

you think you're well

rather than advance your own self, you'd rather run other people down, even if this is counterproductive in your own life

Nairaland GeneralRe: Why Do You Always Check Peoples Profile To See Their Pics? by tpia1:
Now, what i was typing before was i generally dont check people's profiles these days, unless they're aggravating me.

What i noticed is a lot of times, these "aggravators" tend to have extremely unflattering countenances. The few ones who have some measure of what could be considered flattering countenance, tend to have such vain and narcissistic expressions as to overshadow whatever form of countenance they were trying to highlight.

She just looks arab, and her look is indeed a bit scary.

Might be the makeup or the way the eyebrows were arched.

Not saying she's not beautiful however.

From all the female profile pics I have come across, this one called Chillaz @ www.nairaland.com/chillaz has caught my attention the most. Very beautiful charming angel smiley
I suppose, but looks a bit scary.

You shouldnt be complaining about people judging you, when you chose to publicly put your business out for the whole world to comment on.

Were you forced to open the thread?

Only hookers behave this way, so yes, i'd advise you to look for a personal relationship with Jesus and get deliverance from your spirit of nymphomania and licentiousness
