Family › Re: How Many "Yards" Of Wife Material by tpia5: 6:00pm On Aug 01, 2012
from my experience (ie what i learnt) not set in stone btw,

cooking and cleaning for your boyfriend doesnt necessarily mean he'll marry you.

but it also doesnt mean you wont find a man who will appreciate those qualities. Could be the boyfriend you're cooking for, could be someone else.

if a man takes you to a restaurant, one would assume its because he feels you're worth the effort, and i could be wrong but i would assume he wont expect to see a thread about it on nl unless it was by prior agreement for publicity reasons and/or the restaurant in question is owned by someone who is advertising his business.

just guessing of course.

i doubt the story is true, and in any case, too much bad belle over oyedepo matter.

if its not one thing, its another.

i'm even starting to wonder if many of these controversies arent from oyedepo himself, just to give idle waankers something to gossip about.

after all, they have nothing else doing.

Yes, in nigeria you know things are serious when schnapps is involved.

Anything else is lesser quality and so, of lower rank .
Culture › Re: Black African Tribe In India? by tpia5: 3:08am On Aug 01, 2012
^why do the african gods prefer imported schnapps.

Or what do they drink nowadays-have they started accepting local gin?

And how can you not know what i mean, when you say you're an exponent of traditional religion? huh

Wetin your own gods dey drink? Kunu or something?

Ptolomeus: 1. My concept of suffering is the same dictionary.
You do not know what is suffering?. Then you are not Christian!
2. You do not read the posts, because you do not know, or do not interest you? Reread the posts.

Do not go out of focus you ... and do not ask you the same thing a hundred times.
Get back to me when you're coherent.

fact is, the way he presented his write up devoid of ethnic sentiment and overly sensational emotion, isnt a characteristic associated with an average nigerian.

especially given the subject matter.

wear those tight trousers with your crotch clearly showing and your stuff outlined, next time you're around those girls.

that way, you're both ready for each other, no need to perambulate or dance around the subject.
Culture › Re: Black African Tribe In India? by tpia5: 11:47pm On Jul 31, 2012
oyinbos are anti tribals.
oyibos are the most pro-tribal people you'll ever meet.

anti-tribalism only applies when you're no longer african, and in which case you get a new identity related to your situation and experiences.

ie once you cross the sea.

they are all into assimilaating us and destroying our unique identity and culture,, like what happened to the Native n both the Americas
as soon as you explain how traditional libations consider imported schnapps the preferred drink of the gods, you can come back and clarify the rest of this quote.

GNBohr: Have you heard of charmers, enchanters, sorcerers, conjurers, magician, witchcraft and wizadry before. these group of people used a muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to execute things in the spiritual realm to have a physical effect.

these people are sometimes and loosely refer to as Oloogun in yoruba but their practices are of different modes and approaches. you can not know one easily from another unless you are conversant with the spiritual realm.

The babalawos are called the seers or clairvoyance or generally as diviners. they also use muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to solve spiritual problems, sees into the future, avert future disasters, to make choices amongst competing forces, physical or ecclesiastical. they also serve as healers.

The Onisegun, Basegun are the healers and are also generally refers to as herbalist. they also use muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to cure diseases of various kind. they can easily be compared to the present day orthodox doctors or pharmacists. the only difference being that the functionality of drug preparations and administrations are not separated.

The Awos are the occultists and are of various kinds, mostly divided into two major clans - the white and the black. the whites are known for good deeds and the black are known for bad or evil deeds. they mostly believe in representing and continuing the legacy of a spiritual being, collectively known as gods. priesthood belong to these sects. the ogbonis belong to this sect as well.

The ologuns are the warriors and are called different names in different yoruba climes like akoguns, baloguns, jagunjaguns, etc. they also use muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to wage wars.

The Olodes are hunters beside hunting for games and food and for commerce, they also serve as security guards and soldiers for their communities. they aslo make use of muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to hunt and secure their communities. they can be loosely called the police.

I will stop here for now, if you need further knowledge, guide and support, kindly reach me on s.adebayo@yahoo.com
this is a very concise and scholarly breakdown.
